nateevs:I'm certain the below will get me a spambot but I can't resist. "You are fat, you are a joke, you are stupid, you are not funny, you are not as smart as you think you are," Fuentes said, later adding, "This entire thing has been a scam." |
Zionmdde:I don't see why this shouldn't be expected. If I won the election Tinubu won, those posts would be filled by members of my family and very close friends, and they are obviously likely to be from my tribe, and my village, though I doubt I'd find enough there to fill all the posts that need filling. Its really like an American president giving jobs to his friends and family, if you asked me. |
My response above would suffice, I hope. Sham or not, more people voted for Tinubu. givedemwotowoto: |
givedemwotowoto:Tinubu was declared winner, to my disappointment, because he got the most votes. The only thing sham about Nigeria's last election was how many sat on their lazy asses and refused to get up to go and vote and are now wailing about it. And the reason most didn't vote is precisely because of this false notion that our elections are scam, which is what I would promote to my opposers so they don't bother voting, while encouraging my supporters to go and vote for me so I win. budaatum: |
Firebox123:I'm very certain you can google that info yourself. I do wonder why you'd think Obi would get enough votes in the North to win a presidential election in Nigeria though. And that, despite winning in Lagos. |
givedemwotowoto:I'm not buying trump like whining about winning an election he clearly lost. The election is what it was, my Obi did not get enough votes to win. And my Obi's lack of organisation of us his supporters would make him lose next election, I warn. |
OredoPikin:The above sounds like INEC declared the person with fewer votes as the winner, which is not true at all! Happy birthday my Obi.

PulsingPurple:And that's okay. Its like finding no argument against believing a million pounds is in ones pocket. Until one checks of course so one may actually know, or until one needs to pay someone it for a purchase. What amuses me is how the gods mostly worshipped by Nigerians are all foreign, with not many believing in the existence of Sopona or Ogun or Amadioha. It shows how powerful books can be, and how permeable some minds are. |
Christian Horner has been sacked as Red Bull team principal with immediate effect after 20 years in charge of the Formula 1 team. PulsingPurple:I find it funny you'd be teaching me this, but that's Nairaland I guess. Your threads show someone willing to consider both sides of the theist-atheist argument while seeking answers for yourself, which is refreshing, and biblical, dare I say. Do let me know what you find when you do find. I'd be interested. |
Obrigardo:I'd be delighted to work with you. |
I not only read your op, I went and read other threads you have begun here and found nothing to engage me, but this thread had you mention critical reasoning, and is the only thing of interest to me in it and hence my addition to your thread. Now, as an atheist, I not only see no reason to believe in the existence of gods, I have sufficient knowledge to know its like believing you have a million pounds in your bank account at this very moment. But I am not that concerned, since you are not telling me to believe what you believe. PulsingPurple: |
PulsingPurple:I couldn't figure out the point of your opening post neither, but reserved you the right to post it knowing readers will make of it what they want just as you should make what you want of what I've posted, which you ought to be able to do if you reason critically. As to where one is headed, perhaps concentrate on where you are first. |
PulsingPurple:And, critically reason, or learn to. 13 more characters needed. |
Ijebosc:The numerous beings bombed in Gaza are not humans, as far as some are concerned. |
|
Ibime:Are the human beings "accidentally" bombed in church not material enough for you? If not, then perhaps worry about the material church that was bombed, though that's odd reasoning from where I'm looking. |
Roy Wagner, 1975, The invention of culture. University of Chicago Press https://archive.org/details/inventionofcultu0000wagn/page/n197/mode/1up My great fear is that the fruits of knowledge we fear to pluck and eat now will be hidden on the east side of the Garden of Eden behind the cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way so we are not allowed to reach out our hand and take also from the tree of life and eat and just live. Metaphorically speaking, of course. The book above is unavailable, so you'll need to seek it. If you do find it, please post link here for the rest of us. And if you ever do read it and learn anything, do come back to educate us please.

basilico:Not buying dump's alternative facts no more? |
ORIAYO70:You make me wonder if 4kids just fell on one, like you were walking down the street one day and you caught 4kids like one would catch a disease. I think it is a financial mistake to have 4kids on 50k. I think it is a financial mistake to have one kid on 50k. And I think it is a huge mistake precisely because the country is very hard these days and 50k is not enough for just me not to talk of a husband and one kid plus 3 other kids. I doubt it covers rent, not to talk of food, schoolfees (a must), and doctor and dentist. Bad things happen though, I am aware. One might have earned more and had 4kids then a financial mishap might have occured, but that's where the learning one has empowers one to increase one's earning. As a side, I think 4kids is greedy. 2 tops. 3 is greedy acceptable, but 4. That's just pig! In my own very unhumble opinion. |
Kobojunkie:But you did create your own definition. The definition you gave is your definition you created. Or did you copy it from somewhere did you? It expressed your understanding of what an atheists holds in their heads. Your definition is different to my definition, which I created for myself in my head just like you created your definition for yourself. Search and you will find very many definitions of atheist and atheism held in many different peoples head, so why would you insist your own understanding is the only one possible definition? Wouldn't that be like claiming all churches worship Jesus? For your "proof that gods don't really exist". Consider the following. https://www.reddit.com/r/DebateReligion/s/gMTFJz41qR As for your, "makes it more a religious idea than anything else", of course atheism is a "religious idea". It is the religious consideration of the existence of a religious god that billions religiously worship. What else could it be if not the consideration of religious ideas? A definition. Better is books. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion |
Kobojunkie:That is what atheism is to you. There is lots of evidence if one can bother to look and see, and I am an atheist because the extensive available evidence I have studied clearly shows that all gods are created by human beings. I do not want you to accept this however, because if you do, you would be believing me, which is against my atheism. |
Kobojunkie:Anything is not allowed in human thought and reasoning, of which the scope of religion is a part of, and mostly just what is decided to be chosen to believe in ones head. You will allow me to pay for your car in stones I believe are worth millions I don't think, unless you believe me in your own head. |
benalvino3:You child, It explains you quite a lot. I went bird watching today and dead tired and will respond later. |
benalvino3:I did not support Buhari, bem, I just wanted Buhari to win because that is whom Nigerians wanted to win. I'll explain, but first. How old were you when Buhari got into power by pointing guns at people? You may give a range if you wish, in 10s. |
benalvino3:I'm supporting dump now too. I want him to win the next election. I wouldn't vote for either of them myself though. |
terrezo2002:I was born an atheist, and didn't have religion shoved in my mouth with a tit. Believing in gods was like believing the tortoise in Things Fall Apart. What I was taught was to question, and that's the antithesis of belief. Probably why I like the Bible too, because despite all the belief it's also written that one should Test every spirit. Spirit, as in, the meaning and implication, and God being that which is good. Not everything written about God in the Bible is good however, but I forgive the writers for their limited ancient understanding. |
Image123:And the Qur'an. Two of the most wonderful books ever written, as far as concerning Nigerians. |
bayelsaowei:Vote for dump! |
