My secondary school is better funded now it has been returned to the Baptist Mission and old students are more willing to make it better than when the state occupied it.

The election is already over, and Tinubu got the most votes, so Tinubu won, according to the outcome of the election that was held and that Tinubu won. Which is why Tinubu is the current president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

It is odd that a forum that allows and promotes a sexuality section would suddenly go moral and censor and shoe horn atheist posts or threads. I have been noticing the ill tolerance and biased moderation in the Christianity/etc section for sometimes now. Any post believed to be a criticism of Christianity is quickly suppressed and hidden. As I said earlier,it is indeed ironic that there is censorship on a forum that promotes threads like the one below.

No particular book "told" me. A lot of books empowered me to infer, though it says so in the Bible itself. For instance, when Christ is written to have said, "The Kingdom of God is within you", he is saying, 'God is inside you'. And a thinking person might infer from that that the Holy Ghost would dwell in God's Kingdom where their God dwells. Yet some go looking here and there for what dwells within.

You might in fact notice that a lot of, 'God speaking to individuals in the Bible' itself are products of their own mind function. One must however develop oneself to be able to listen and hear it.

Do you know anything about hermeneutics?

And by the way, there is no specific "ultimate standard of "right"", as the more one learns, the more the standard of right develops and grows.

I had posted the same thread last week under the title,"The absurdity of religion." Only to find the thread in the General section. That was why I decided to repost it as "Absurdity." to reassure myself that I didn't make a mistake. This is undiluted censorship on Nairaland.com of free thought. It is such a shame because the owner of this forum,@Seun , spreads his wings and posts freely without censorship on X(Twitter).

I wasn't aware it wasn't in the religious section when I responded, and actually assumed it was, to be honest.

It really is a shame that seun seems to be learning nothing from the twitter he dwells on, but I bet it was not him who moved the post, but a mod. And if they don't like non-christian posts in the Christian section, then perhaps they should just create a thinking section for those who think!

They all disagree on some things, and that's where my own brain kicks in to decide what I think is right. I don't just take what I learn and follow it like some brainless individual. I use my own mind to measure and guage to determine what is right for me to do. And I learn every day, so the standard keeps improving.

I'm one who lets my light so shine to glorify my mother here on earth and my father in heaven. Atheistically speaking that is, since there ain't no heaven and my father is 6 feet deep feeding worms.

I think we Nigerians are paid a pittance. I'd like to see us paid at least half what would be paid for a similar job in the west, but I can see these people opposing me already, because they love their poverty.

I think this shows how ingenious we humans are, that we can create religions and essentially Gods for ourselves in answer to questions we can not yet answer.

Good thing is, when we get better answers, we remove our temporary gap filling Gods and replace them with those answers, and then move on to the next question we can't answer that we've temporarily filled with the Gods.

By temporary, I mean a day is like a thousand years.
