guobe:I eat once a day late in the evening and it's not evening yet. I'm going to go have my one cup of coffee now because I am waking up late after not going to bed till early in the morning. My one meal is because I might snack in between. Today's snack is two cracker biscuits and fruits. |
basilico:The shįt you swallow makes you stink. |
descarado:After your uncorroborated lies about most things, this new lie of yours is no surprise. A smart person would wonder how they'd hide it from the IRS, but guess you don't need to bother. Regardless, the claims are false — there's no evidence that any of the individuals mentioned have received any illicit payments from Ukraine in return for their pushing of support for Kyiv against the Russian invasion. |
Adebishow:I checked too and could not see where the president has the authority to suspend the governor, so please point it out to me. |
kmst:The language is rather obtuse but I don't see where it says the president may suspend or remove an elected governor. https://nigerian-constitution.com/chapter-8-part-2-section-305-procedure-for-proclamation-of-state-of-emergency/#google_vignette |
Also released Tuesday were 14 documents related to the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., totaling about 1,050 pages and 21 documents regarding Robert F. Kennedy, totaling about 2,500 pages. Like the JFK documents, at least some of the files appear to have been previously released. https://abcnews.go.com/US/government-releases-thousands-declassified-records-related-jfk-assassination/story?id=119926288 |
I wonder if this is legal. https://nigerian-constitution.com/chapter-8-part-2-section-305-procedure-for-proclamation-of-state-of-emergency/#google_vignette

Some of VOA’s local-language radio stations have stopped broadcasting news reports and switched over to music to fill the airtime, according to listenersI didn't believe this, so checked. https://www.voanews.com/live/audio/60 Sad. |
muyico:Likely not very good after they killed her father. https://www.nairaland.com/8371795/father-corper-called-tinubu-terribledied#134581988 |
Lucifyre:You shouldn't let yourself be quite depressed by just a post on Nairaland. |
I hate when such cases are filed without suing for legal costs and emotional harm. If you win N3,205,000.00, you'd pay legal fees out of it thereby reducing what you get, while emotional harm could triple what you do get if charged for. |
Lucifyre:It's an affectation or it's opposite, designed to make you double take and think about what you read. |
codemaniacs:Actually, it shows ignorance. Ignorance of African countries that allow themselves to be controlled. India and even China were equally controlled at one point, but they removed the controllers and created a system that favours them, which is what we Africans ought to do instead of remaining in slavery and blaming the masters. |
I put 'charms' around my farm because it scares off thieves. My favourite is a simple white piece of cloth dipped in palm oil tied around chicken bones and tied to a tree. People like you see it and believe the power will overpower them. It worked even much better when a person who stole my cows fell ill. His family came to beg when his child fell ill too. He died a few days after the father died. The only sad thing now is I'm known for killing father and child, when the truth is he likely died of tramadol overuse and his child died of malnutrition. It really hurt because I used to feed that child to nourish it. The mother sold bread, and would let her son demolish a huge loaf of bread she hadn't sold so the father would have to pay for it. We were making progress too. Its 2 year old legs had strengthened and it had begun to walk. It couldn't talk properly yet, but could rhyme the alphabet song, both the Yoruba and English ones, and could hum 1 2 3 up to ten. Guess they saved me having to sponsor its future education, which I'd have gladly done. My eyes still wet up when I remember little Jamiu whom they wasted due to their ignorance. |
Yes, it should be removed. Not because they might be kidnapped, but because they are being used as cheap labour and a subsidy for employers. We hardly have trained teachers in my Osun State because of use of untrained corpers, who impregnate underaged girls and run off after they've 'served'. In fact, now I think of it, perhaps we should kidnap corpers to deter them. https://www.nairaland.com/7730960/should-nysc-not-scrapped#123842658 |
basilico:I have hardly any American products in my home. Gmail perhaps, but that's about it. You'd be hard to find much made in America in most homes here apart from media. I also don't have any George Soros products in my home neither. |
basilico:And this is why China has an upper hand where these tariffs are concerned. In fact, China does not need to tariff US. Nationalism and boycotts will have the same effect.

I'm gonna kick that Piastri's ass! ![]() And Ferrari with their shîtty strategy, again! Revised result, as A.K. Antonelli penalty rescinded.

otipoju:Her oral responses were obviously not convincing, and neither was her paperwork it would seem, since her responses to financial queries would just have been her stating what was already in her paperwork which she ought to know. That said, you are not teaching me how to get a student visa since I have no need for one, but I am certain the op would have learnt from our discuss and would perform better next time. I wish you luck Ola1ola1. Do let us know how you fare. |
otipoju: Ola1ola1: otipoju: Ola1ola1:And I expect she would have stated the school in the application and provided evidence of admission for the school, and if given the opportunity, would also have given reasons for her course and school and country. otipoju:Where did you get that she was refused because she had no valid reason to travel? Is going to study not a valid reason to want to travel? I agree her application was easy to deny. Evidence for her tuition fees, at the least, should have been provided so there'd be no need to ask her for it again. |
otipoju:I never said she was "denied because of a lack of financial evidence"! She herself said she was denied after questions about her finances! otipoju:Her response would have been supported by her evidence I would have thought, and since it wasn't, she was refused. Basically, her evidence was not comprehensive enough. otipoju:Could you elaborate on how you know she provided financial evidence please, since they asked her for evidence of her finances, which is unlikely to have been the case if the evidence had been provided already? |
otipoju:I don't know why you are bothering to do what it is you are doing at all. Proof of funds is not an optional document for a student visa interview. It is an integral part of the application. Though doesn't guarantee a visa since that's not all that is looked at. Unfortunately, financial evidence seems to have been lacking in this application, which I hope applicant corrects next time. |
Shows how poorer than South Africa Nigeria actually is. |
Tjra:I wonder too. |
otipoju:That's why her documents should all be in order to start with. She could after all included documentation showing her funds source, as some have advised here. I hope Ola1ola1 has learnt from this thread, and I wish better outcome next time. |
I'd like my government to want to distribute land that was taken from black Africans and given to white Africans. If whites owned so much land in Nigeria we'd likely be up in arms. https://theconversation.com/land-reform-in-south-africa-5-myths-about-farming-debunked-195045 |
