Imagine Dangote not applying merit to the building of his refinery. He likely wouldn't own nothing better than a pure water factory.

Not awarding projects by merit is what is stymying our development and progress, and the result is wailing and hunger and death.

We will learn when there's half of us left, I hope, or until we completely destroy ourselves.

As for the production of good competent leaders, perhaps we should start with ourselves by ensuring we are sufficiently knowledgeable to know what good leaders are, and learn how to choose them. Because, in this democratic dispensation, we are responsible for choosing the leaders we choose, and should blame no one but ourselves for choosing bad leaders.

No where in Genesis does it say, "and God created a serpent called satan", so smart people should wonder where that serpent came from. Was there another God creating somewhere else, perhaps?

What we can very clearly read is some humans were created in God's image to rule the earth and subdue and multiply and be blessed, while some humans were created from mud to slave naked in the Garden of Eden.

The images of God were not given any laws, while the mud was told not to eat fruits of knowledge. And the mud was lied to that he would die if he ate fruits of knowledge, and some will convince you he did die, like 800 years after eating the fruit that would surely kill him.

If your God tells you fruits of knowledge will kill you, then I strongly suggest you question that God. And if your church preaches knowledge kills, then they perhaps just need you for tithes.

Jesus would not have been a slave owner, and he promised you the eternal life that the Genesis 3 God "placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life".

Hopefully, you can see the contradictions in the text, and therefore apply your own ability to critically reason, instead of mere believing what satans who want to enslave you want you to believe.

It's not easy to do racist cop here in UK these days, I must say.

Back in the early 90s when it was much easier, I was once stopped by police who asked if I knew what the speed limit was, and could they search my car, which I let them. They also asked to see my licence, at which they asked me where I was from, and I said, down the road where I lived.

"Where are you parents from", they asked, to which I asked them what where my parents were from had to do with my driving.

Cops decided there was a gash in my tyre, which was true, and said they'd fine me and give me 3 points on my licence, which would have increased my insurance.

I wrote to the court contesting, telling them what had happened and how I had got the gash on my way home and was on the way to my tyre man to have it fixed, as I was not meant to stop on double reds. I included maps to show my route and destination too.

On the court day, judge asked me if I was guilty or not, to wit I said I wasn't. He then asked the police to present their case, but the lawyer for the police said their witness refused to turn up.

Judge apologised for wasting my time and told me to consider suing the police, but I just couldn't be bothered.

That would be rare these days, as many cops have been sanctioned for such behaviour, and have been trained not to behave that way anyone. Also, there's a lot more black people driving high performance cars these days, unlike then.
