basilico:I'm pissed at him for tariffs. You work in the solar industry? Where does your solar come from? |
basilico:I know this is far to complex for you to comprehend since you refused to pay for a quality education. Still. As of September 2024, COVID-19 was responsible for 1.2 million deaths in the U.S., with the majority of those deaths occurring during Biden’s presidency. |
basilico:What caused inflation in USA? AI OverviewNot that you'd be educated by all this, and neither would you post any credible source that claims Biden or the Infrastructure Reduction Act caused inflation. |
zeuss:Pana, please post links to educate this person. Thanks in advance. |

We are shameless hypocrites for believing them, and should cover our heads in ashes if we had any sense of decency. |
Teetee777:According to the information we all are reading in this thread, beans are cheaper in Lagos than it has otherwise been. You after all need to add transportation cost to get it from 5k in the north to whatever you sell it in Lagos, and you'd likely add the cost of your shop in Lagos plus staff to that to make any profit from your effort. I do have a suggestion though. You can always travel from Lagos to the north to buy a painter at cheap 5k. And you probably wouldn't need to pay so much more than 5k if you walked there and back. |
Nigeria tried this. We had Tafawa Balewa as Prime Minister of Nigeria from 1 October 1960 – 15 January 1966, while Nnamdi Benjamin Azikiwe was President. We ended up with Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi as Military head of state, and a civil war, and further military rule that lasted till 1979. While I prefer the parliamentary system of democracy to presidential, I doubt we'd accept a president that is selected like Germany choses its. The president is elected for a term of five years by secret ballot, without debate, by a specially convened Federal Convention which mirrors the aggregated majority position in the Bundestag (the federal parliament) and in the parliaments of the 16 German states. |

He must think God will hear his prayers and he won't be deported after committing a crime. Adegboyega who founded SPAC Nation church said he arrived in the UK aged 25 in 2005 on a visitor’s visa but failed to legalise his stay. |
I take photos of people at events often. Its a hobby of mine, and I don't charge for it as you'd only get a digital copy if you want it. You can go print it yourself. What's annoying is people handing you their phone to take photos of them. I just show my full hands and walk off. If I did it for work you are not forced to pay, but yes, the beautiful photos of beautiful you will be added to my wall. |

descarado:Actually, it is some Nigerians who inadvertently call themselves zoo people, and they don't seem to realise they are calling themselves animals. Least, that's what they mean when I read them. |
BonPatrick:This is your life.

basilico:Problem is, America does not have the skilled local humanpower to do those jobs and earn those higher wages, and would need to open borders to import it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9f5SQQKr5o?si=dvNhujVYf1GrgKjB |
descarado:Don't you also hate when some stupid people call Nigeria a zoo? Whenever I hear them, all I think is they themselves and their kit and kin must be caged zoo animals with zero self esteem. |
GloriousGbola:They must also bribe the work itself to do the work, the rate he is going. |
Bandirao:I had to check. On an annual basis, you are right. In the fourth quarter of 2023, Nigeria’s total trade stood at N26,801.95 billion. Exports were valued at N12,693.62 billion while imports amounted to N14,108.33 billion. On an annual basis, total trade was N71,880.01 billion, of which imports amounted to N35,917.62 billion, and exports were recorded at N35,962.39 billion. |
“From the age of 2, normal life without paralysis was only possible for me because of the miraculous combination of modern medicine and a mother’s love. During a press briefing in Minna, Danmaman said, “The high number of out-of-school children has significantly contributed to the increasing crime rate, especially among teenagers.” https://www.nairaland.com/8292638/nigerian-police-say-out-of-school-children#133285086 |
budaatum:I read the above again and laughed to myself. The problems in Nigeria are actually because the funding of education has been left to states, though, thankfully, the curriculum hasn't or it would be much worse than it is. In my own local government in Osun State, a secondary school has a principal and a vice principal, and all the 'teachers' are cheap federal funded untrained corpers who think sleeping with under 16s is a fringe benefit of being posted to a place so rural. This is a consequence of states, and local governments, not properly funding the education and paying for trained teachers. We do have private schools of course, but there is the minor issue of fees that limit those who can pay for their children to go there. And the consequence is those who can, leave to go further their study elsewhere and leave the alimanjeris behind. And today, we have a drug problem that is blighting the community, as alimanjeris can't do work. |
GloriousGbola:And this, IbeOkehie, is hard to ignore. |
basilico:She supported abortions, obviously. IbeOkehie is however trying to make it sound like she was promoting the extermination of blacks, which is very not true. Her speech to the kkk was to promote abortion to those in attendance, and I very much doubt there were blacks there, though considering they might have all been covered in white blankets, that might be debatable by some. |
IbeOkehie:Nairaland does not work that way. If you don't want your views to be of interest, you can try keeping them to yourself. IbeOkehie:Thankfully, Nigeria and its federal government do not agree that the "North have a right to pursue Boko Haram or whatever ideology they wish", and make it the "business of other tribes or regions whether Northerners choose to embrace education". Ti ara ile ẹni ba n jẹ kokoro ti ko sunwon ti a ko ba so fun; howuhowu re ko nii je ka sun l'oru. "If someone in your household is eating harmful food and you don't tell them, their cry at night will keep stop you being able to sleep at night". If we don't make their education our business, they'd create no jobs in their region and start killing themselves due to hunger, and then migrate down to where you live and start killing you because they have not been educated to do the work that needs doing. Or what did you think the constant wailing about Fulani was all about? You don't just concern yourself because of them, but because of what they'd end up doing to you if you don't. |
basilico:You must have intentionally left out the quotes of hers that show she wanted to exterminate black babies. Go on, try again. I know you can do better. |
IbeOkehie:Your view and opinion is unfortunately personal. Even when you present evidence, your understanding of said evidence is personal to you and can't be avoided, unfortunately. And the only reason I actually choose to respond to you more than most is to point out your personal bias in hope you'd notice and be corrected. Why would you claim federal government funded education is bad and creates ill educated individuals, and then claim you went to a federal funded university, but expect one not to think what your federal funded education might have done to you? Can you not see the obvious connections that could be made especially when you present your bias and claim to be neutral? If you want a good faith discussion, perhaps start by monitoring your biases better instead of hoping they are not obvious and glaring. This is not a thread for gaslighting. |
IbeOkehie:The fact Carson is quoted everywhere does not prove your point. He after all is far less credible than NPR. The facts do not show that more black people per 1000 had abortions at planned parenthood than whites, and what she said was to try to promote abortions amongst blacks, who were having more children than they could feed. https://time.com/4081760/margaret-sanger-history-eugenics/ Its obvious more whites in general would have aborted than blacks just by the mere fact there are more whites than blacks, so I do wonder why you don't accuse Margaret Sanger of trying to exterminate and wipe out the white race. |
cococandy:He actually isn't providing any such stats, but is providing his own warped understanding of the motives of Sanger to gaslight his own bias. IbeOkehie:You clearly have a very narrow understanding of socialism. Should I blame the Federal university you went to, or the fact you perhaps didn't pay attention like your more successful colleagues did? Some people say it takes a village to raise a child, implying the pulling together of resources. We Yorubas say, agbajo ọwọ ni gbe ẹrù de ori. But go read up on Kibbutzim. It might help you understand why the Nazis were jealous of the Jews. |
IbeOkehie:The Federal Ministry of Education should be abolished in Nigeria, a country where some states and county equivalents would like to impose boko haram? I guess I'm beginning to fully understand your "God bless Nigeria". What you really mean is "Nigerians, sit on your lazy ignorant asses and wait for God to bless you instead of you exercising the sweat of your own brows to bless yourselves". Thankfully, the majority of Nigerians are not that dumb, and know that leaving education to states would only increase alimanjeris. |
IbeOkehie:You are going to continue repeating this lie regardless what anyone says, and you wouldn't take responsibility for your very narrow maga sort of misunderstanding. The article you referenced states how her own mother suffered from excessive child birth, but I'm sure that's because she was black too, right? Fact is, uneducated black and white Americans were more likely not to use birth control (which was scarcely available at the time), and have more children whom they couldn't feed or educate, and which perpetuated poverty, but I guess that's far too complex for you to consider. https://www.npr.org/sections/itsallpolitics/2015/08/14/432080520/fact-check-was-planned-parenthood-started-to-control-the-black-population Please stop gaslighting that you are neutral on what you are not neutral on! |
liveyourlife007:It is not your insensitivity that got you so far, but the ignorance that made you insult the parents of a person you know nothing about. And its not my forgiveness you require but your own repentance, which will make you reform and become intelligent. I'm going to follow you a bit to see how you progress. Hopefully, you will exceed your current potential. |
