TenQ:Thankfully, buda is not subject to you nor need your protection from your imaginary boogey god, and will have you arrested for kidnapping buda. And to be honest, I do fear for the children you might go on to have, for I can just about see you doing this in your god's name.

basilico:And since she was removed and Jussie has been tried, do tell me what his sentence is please. Or do you not see any similarities between his case and that of Chauvin who you seem to be championing? |
TenQ:I'm very certain you say this only because you have died and met you imaginary maker and come back to tell buda about it. If you knew your god existed your entire heart would be full of love for your Nairaland neighbours instead of the hatred you have shown in this thread to those who believe in a different book to your own.

TheBillyonaire:I wonder how true this is. Pawpaw was my biscuit when young. I planted them near the concrete walls around the compound so I can climb the wall and pluck the tall ones due to my allergic preference of not eating pawpaw that had touched the ground. They never had this problem. However, considering the industrialism, or should I say, farmarisim, that you've shown in the below, I would urge the op to consider your suggestion. TheBillyonaire:Makes me feel I should pay you. Some people will concrete their entire compound and start crying about hunger. The fence around my compound was made of bitter leaf. I had to invite the neighbours to come and cut from those I planted inside the compound so they don't eat all my fence. When I go to my farm in my hometown, my people laugh at me for planting pawpaw. The tell me one does not plant pawpaw, and that pawpaw lalẹwus (sprouts out of the ground by itself). They only stopped when they started eating the pawpaws and the ewedu and other vegetables I planted by sprinkling their seeds everywhere after paying them to deweed. You sir, make me miss home. Now I'm left planting weed in a cupboard in my house and paying electric to simulate sun while worrying police might knock on my door. |
How dare she bother you with her love for her darling dead husband? How so inconsiderate of her! If she bothers you that much, kill her please. And do it in such a way that you gain maximum satisfaction from murdering her. And please make sure you do everything to make sure your own future wife does not love you so much for so long. You can consider killing yourself after like 10 years, or better still 6 months. |

TenQ:The 13.7 billion years is speculative. Those who came up with it admit as much, so it is rather ignorant for one to believe what those who propose it don't believe. But then, that is not unusual for many. A bridge is built based on calculations, and you believe the bridge will stand based on those calculations. The calculations themselves are not "sets of beliefs", but empirically tested mathematical evidence based on bridges that have been built and that still stand. You never know if the bridge will stand until you've actually built and tested it. Humans who live by beliefs are ignorant. They cry to heaven for their daily bread instead of feeding themselves by the sweat off their brow. If you go outside their houses you will see the gutters in which they breed the mosquitoes that suck their blood and kill them. If you check their life expectancy, you'd find it is much lower than that of nations who choose to live by knowledge. And such believers tend to end up as naked slaves like Adam, making food for the gods. The British who brought us the Bible did not believe they were created from mud anymore after years of being enslaved to Rome their masters by ignorant beliefs. By the time they got on their boats and arrived at your shores they were singing what evolved into Rule Britannia, because some 200 or so years prior they'd got to understand (or chose to believe) that they were no more slaves to Rome, afraid of nourishing themselves with knowledge because it would kill them, but chose to change their beliefs to being created in God's image and could eat as much fruits of knowledge as their hearts desire and it would not kill them. That's what then enabled them to set forth from their tiny island to "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it and rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground", such that, at one time the sun never set on the British empire. Basically, they stopped believing, and instead asked questions and knocked and sought answers with their own hearts and souls and minds so that they may know, instead of letting Rome feed them crappy beliefs that only profited Rome. And that is what you would one day do, I hope. Instead of asking me to provide you with evidence, which is you just asking me to preach and spoonfeed you, you will do your own research so that you actually know. And then, greater things will you indeed do than you currently are doing. |
TenQ:You equate beliefs to be the same as factual evidence based knowledge. Things that I believe are things I am not certain or sure of or have not checked and indeed "have no iota of foundational basis" for. One does not "likely" "claim". The fact I said "likely", which was intentional, shows it is indeed speculative. You must please call me very ignorant if I make a "claim" about what might have happened 13.7 billion years ago. I may for instance, believe I have a billion pounds in my bank account, but as soon as I check my bank balance I would have immense foundational basis of evidence and would need to stop believing and instead know whether I have a billion pounds in my bank account or not. Hopefully, you can see how ignorant I would need to be to be arguing how much is in my bank account without actually checking in order to have foundational basis of evidence. If I claim to "believe" in the existence of God, I would be saying I am not certain there is God. Its one reason I get to laugh at believers. If I were them, I would know my God exists and live accordingly. And I would expect to be burnt on the spot if I dare not love my neighbour. Evolution is not speculative biology! There is sufficient evidence out there to show that humans evolved, and you asking for evidence is just lazy of you, since you can very easily educate yourself with Google. In fact, if you read your Bible starting from the beginning and go page by page to the very end you'd even see brimstone and fire God evolving into gentle and meek Jesus Christ, but I do understand that believers find that as hard to comprehend as threading a camel through the eye of a needle. Its the same difficult you are experiencing in evolving your understanding of your own subject in this thread. I mean, do you really believe anyone believes they are going to hell for anything? How about for not loving one's neighbour? Would your god give you a waiver for hating your Muslim neighbours? The fact is, even you admit that something big must have made something go bang. You call it God, while I say you are filling a gap of ignorance. |
mrvitalis:In my own zone of Orolu Kingdom of Ifon Osun, we are killing our neighbours in Ilobu and we are killing ourselves too. And by that I mean Ifon people are killing Ifon people, and are even suicidally killing themselves. Unemployment has made fashion of drugs amongst the lazy. If an Ilobuan kills us we will kill their mama and kill their papa and kill their pikins and kill their chicken and kill their goat and kill the yams and cocoa in their farms too, and they too will retaliate equally if we kill an Ilobuan. There are Fulanis with cattle in Ilobu and Ifon and Erin, and we have Hausa communities from when they came during the kolanut boom and now use our huge warehouses for bagging grain from the north. We also have thriving Igbo communities, and no one is killing them because they are not killing anyone. One good Tochukwu is called Tomato because he is teaching my people to grow tomatoes. Basically, the kokoro that is eating our ẹfọ is on our own ẹfọ. |
JagabanBorgu:You mentioned IITA, The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture. If it hires expats it will indeed pay in dollars, but it will not likely pay Nigerians in dollars! You might as well have mentioned Shell too, and Chevron, and the International School in Ibadan, or the foreign coach of the Nigerian Eagles, all of who would be paid in foreign currency. As for demanding payment in foreign currency in Nigeria, you never said who does that. And if you were to think just a little, you'd know that a company that demands payment in a foreign currency in Nigeria is trying to limit its own sales, because it sure would be limiting those who can buy what it sells. As for your "So many sh!.t go on in this country that many people are not aware of", that's what people say when they are talking through their ass. If it were happening as you claim, you'd provide more than IITA that can be logically explained. |
TenQ:Typical believer question, thinking everyone must believe something like they do. I do not have beliefs about the age of the universe! It was so long ago that having beliefs about it that even those who propose an age call speculative is just ignorant. Its like believing the first human being was Adam even though the Bible that makes that claim states clearly that before Adam was the creation of both male and female in God's image, and the evidence shows humans evolved from previous humanoids, just as the universe likely evolved from a previous state. |
OLAADEGBU:OLAADEGBU, would you kindly show me where you got that law from please? No one us counted as an English citizen! Even the English are not English citizens! You can not be a citizen of a tribe, but only of a country. You will not say you are a Yoruba citizen now, or would you? What is automatic for Kemi and for myself at birth is our British citizenship. OLAADEGBU:You are very funny. Would the Yoruba call themselves Nigerians if they break away from Nigeria? Some people are indeed English, just as some people are Yoruba or Igbo etc. They are English because (one of) their parents is English, same as you are Yoruba because one of your parents is Yoruba. If you were born in Kano, you will still be Yoruba and will never be Hausa. OLAADEGBU:You can not naturalise to be English! There is no process for it. What you naturalise to become is British. The World Cup is an anomaly that accepts the different regions as "countries". You will note that England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland do not have their own separate seats in the United Nations. Saka's passport is not an English passport, and when he goes to the embassy in Nigeria for help, he will not go to an English embassy, same as you will not be applying for an English visa if you want to come to England, or Scotland etc. OLAADEGBU:Now, this is interesting. It is actually the British society itself that imposes the distinction of greater and lesser. If an English person terrorises abroad they can not be stripped of their nationality or be banned from returning to UK. But if a naturalised British person commits a crime, they can be stripped of their British nationality. And yes, it is racist. OLAADEGBU:Are you suggesting that Conservative right wing Kemi identifying as Yoruba and not Nigerian is "liberal ideology" that does not help her, or did you just decide to throw in that nonsense because you haven't got a clue what you are arguing? |
OLAADEGBU:What law in UK at the time of her birth? No one is a citizen of England, just as no one is a citizen of Yoruba or Igbo or Hausa or Fulani. English is not even a nationality, because technically, England is not a country. English is a tribe (and a language of course), just like Yoruba and Igbo and Hausa and Fulani, and the nationality of the English people is British, or United Kingdom, if one is to be pedantic, though we do not describe ourselves as such. You are born (into the tribe of) English or Yoruba or Igbo or Hausa or Fulani if [one of] your parents is English or Yoruba or Igbo or Hausa or Fulani, and that's what makes you English or Yoruba or Igbo or Hausa or Fulani. Kemi was born to Nigerian parents in England in Britain, which makes her a British national and a Nigerian national, but not English since neither of her parents are English. What's funny about this discussion by the way, is that if I who was born in Lewisham in London claim to be English, you'd likely laugh loudly in my face, and rightly so. I can not in any way be English just because I was born in England, because neither of my parents is of the English tribe, same as a person with Igbo parents born in Ibadan does not magically become Yoruba. |
TenQ:The fact that you mentioned the age of the earth to be 13.7 billion years old is you speaking about the big bang, since that is the proposed date for it. Here is some learning for you. What existed before the Big Bang? https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20220105-what-existed-before-the-big-bang Note the bit where it says "speculative physics". As in, they don't know but think that is what might have existed and happened. No scientist would tell you they believe it to be true since they have no evidence for it. |
OLAADEGBU:Dude please! Being born in Ibadan does not make you Yoruba unless one of your parents is Yoruba. Being born in Enugu does not make you Igbo unless one of your parents is Igbo. Same as you are not English unless one of your parents is English. What you are is British, and that's what Kemi is. You will find that she would never describe herself as English anywhere. The reason is that English is a tribe, same as Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, etc, while British, Nigerian, Ghanaian is nationality. |
TenQ:Its a s scientific consensus, as in, what is agreed on, and if you dig further into science you'd find its when "the universe as we know it" began. Science recognises that something must have existed before then for anything to go bang, since bangs don't just occur out of nothing. Note too that the Big Bang Theory is not the only theory. Choosing one to believe is like choosing a god and disregarding all others.
|
TenQ:Your source alone is evidence. It claims there was a big bang 13.8million years ago, and the universe as is known is suggested to have began. Just that alone shows something must have existed a priori to go bang, since bangs don't happen out of nothing. That's where some now insert their imaginary gods instead of accepting they don't know and can not possibly know, and is like claiming there's a billion naira in your bank account because you don't know how much you have. P.s. You are expecting some religious sort of knowledge that you must believe, so I know you can't possibly get your head around actually using it to reason. |
TenQ:Typical believer of you to want to judge beliefs instead of judging understanding! In your own Bible, it is written that humans should not live by bread alone, yet here you are asking me to live by one book. And even your own one book, you seem to fail to understand! Would your God create you, TenQ, in God's own image to be fruitful and rule and and subdue and multiply and eat every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it, then rest on 5he sixth day after seeing all it created was good, and them wake up on the eight day after resting on the seventh to create you from mud to work naked in a tiny garden and not eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? How are you supposed to 'Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground' if you do not nourish yourself with fruits of knowledge? Do you think those who came to rule and subdue you and teach you to believe you descended from Adam did not eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge before they came to enslave you? My standard is your ability to use your own mind to reason, but I'm aware how powerful that which is called Satan is. |
TenQ:Put "when did the universe begin" into Google, and you'd get "The Big Bang Theory suggests that the universe began about 13.8 billion years ago". Hopefully you are not ignorant enough to accept a "suggestion" as fact, though, you being a believer would not surprise me in the least since you can help but believe something No one knows how the universe began, or what existed before its current form started. And I suggest you stop treating those "scientists who are far much more brilliant than 10 of us combined" like the only prophets of the gods. |
TenQ:13.8 billion years ago? You must want me to lie to you, but I refuse. |
gidgiddy:We like to blame it on others, same as we refuse to accept responsibility for electing our corrupt leaders from amongst our corrupt selves, and instead making out they came to rule us from mars. Thankfully, time and suffering make people know the truth, eventually. Lets just hope its long before we decide to do rwanda on ourselves. |
TenQ:Think just a little. You don't know what existed 100,000 years ago, but you are here confidently claiming to know nothing existed 13.8 billion years ago? Even science does not make such a stupid claim, and recognises something must have existed for something to go bang! |
TenQ:My source is your Holy Bible. Read it and show me where Adam died from eating a fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil! And while you are scrutinising it, kindly show me your source for not believing in loving your neighbour just because they read a different book to your own. Or is it that you believe but do not need to practise? |
It seems like the age of lying to ourselves that fulani is coming to Enugu to kill us is finally over, and we are now prepared to tell our selves the truth that it is us that is killing ourselves! budaatum: |
TenQ:Scripture and the Quran both tell you to read much more widely, and I'd suggest you obey one at least instead of merely believing what you refuse to practice.
|
TenQ:The human mind did not come out of nothing, TenQ. You'd know this if you went and studied some history and biology instead of living by one book alone. Even those who sold you that book are moving on, but here you are, stuck, sadly. |
TenQ:Do you seriously believe your imaginary Uncaused First Cause of everything is uncaused by something? I don't, because I happen to know the human mind is capable of causing a lot of causes, even imaginary ones like hell and gods. |
TenQ:What is my hadith? Lol. Genesis 1 to 5 is mythological. The story itself shows it is made up mythology since no one could have possibly been there recording what happened and nor did God write it since its not in the first person. That mythical Adam himself in the story was lied to is also obvious from the fictional story since he did not die on eating the fruit that was claimed would kill him. And that's apart from numerous verses in the same book that show that it is the opposite of knowledge that kills. As for how I know, that's by doing what Christ taught, ask and knock and seek with ones whole heart and soul and mind and being. Its called, research. You don't only acquire knowledge if you do as he taught, but also understanding and eventually, wisdom. |
TenQ:My understanding of the hadith is that it is the same nonsense as me telling kids that Father Christmas would not bring them presents if they continue to be naughty. And I'd consider those kids rather stupid and ignorant if when they become grown ups do not realise it was just a tool to control them. Both Father Christmas and hell do not exist, and I'd expect you to put away such childish beliefs eventually. But if you do become an adult and start arguing about presents from father Christmas, I'm bound to form a particular opinion about the non-development of your mind. |
OLAADEGBU:Correction: Kemi is not English born as you claim, but is rather British born with Nigerian heritage. You can't be English born unless one of your parents is of the English tribe. |
