It's Sunday, so I will do holy and confess that it pains me when people make allegations like SpencerForbes did, because the one most important feature of Nairaland is that it does not forget to remind one often how false one's allegations are, and that would eventually touch one's soul (in atheism, I'd have said 'conscience'). And when it does, the inability to forgive oneself results in what spencer has now done.

And if you continue to blame where you are instead of considering that it is you who is responsible for yourself, you'd face the same issue of landlord raising your rent in a few years time wherever you are, just as I bet you did before moving to Abuja in 2020.

Sadly, it is destroying employment in Nigeria, despite the enjoyment and the pittiable pittance they pay for it.

A company hiring corpers will get a fresh hoard of cheap labour every year that they don't need to train because they won't retain them, and that company loses knowledge and expertise in the long term, while the corper is sentisized to pittance as their worth in jobs that know not how to do. The combination of these two things suppresses wages while the cost of living grows.

And yes many do enjoy it. I rent rooms to them in the Orolu Kingdom. It's a nice place with water, but they hate my one rule. You can not bring school students into my yard. Apparently, those 14-15 year olds are meant to be "fringe benefits". I make them enjoy other things or go find somewhere else to live.

But that's by the by. The Orolu Kingdom has not had teachers in like 3 years because of war with the neighbours and war between APC and PDP that shut the local government down. Kind of puts NYSC on the very back burner.

It's either that or you believe all the ladies you meet are like your ex, which means you haven't really "accepted my fate" and moved on.

I am not arguing with you ben, nor am I proving any point. I am simply opening your eyes to different sorts of looking and seeing, knowing you who will live very long might grow into it before like 20 years time.

And yes, that is indeed what I am saying. We had to restrain the president of the united states of America like we restrain an unruly dog. And the pleasure is, the world has only just begun restraining him. There's tons more restraining coming when the results of his unruliness is more obvious.
