Heffalump:You tax your vehicle annually in UK I'm told. Maybe this Tinubu Car Tax is the same sort of thing or added on top.

Maynmann:I do wonder. |
Dude, you are very well wedded to your soapy that taking on another satisfier does not seem to appeal to you, so I suggest you stick with your wife soapy instead of thinking you are the sort of person who can marry more than one wife. Not every one can, so no shame. Another option is you divorce soapy, but I'm told that's near impossible for soapy lovers to do. |

Arda1000:Sounds just like what boko haram used to say. Pity.
|
ODUBEZE:Those terrorising schools to close and forcing people to stay at home and not go about their business are terrorists, and their tactic is the same as bokoharam which is to terrorise people. |
TheboyGhost: Arda1000:Hunger and starvation and states going bankrupt would end it soon enough, we just hope the citizens you oppress rise up against you forcing them to sit at home before you starve them to death with your bokoharamaic tactics.
|
LeftAlone:You too lie and people who don't believe won't believe you and neither would lots of believers to be honest. |
Ipob seems to be taking over from boko haram in banning education! I wonder if people would allow themselves to end up ignorant like cattle herders or end this nonsense.

proeast:Not "subtly mocking them", but subtly mocking us. And not only Lagos State, but all states including my Osun State, which is not as dirty as most since we are not as many and do learn cleanliness at home but could be cleaner than it currently is.

IjeBos:Funny isn't it. At home, I sat at the dining table Monday to Saturday learning Maths and English. Maths, I'd be given like 50 questions to do and might get 5 right and be told to do them all again and again till I got 80%, then go write an essay, which I'd write and be told it's unreadable, I should go rewrite it which improved it, but I'd then be asked for the plan I wrote it with and have to go produce a plan and rewrite the essay again. One day, English teacher in school gave us homework to write an essay, so I wrote a plan, wrote my essay and rewrote my essay and submitted it the next day. Teacher goes, buda, who wrote this essay for you? buda: No one wrote my essay for me. I wrote my essay myself. Teacher: You liar! No way could you write essay this good. Someone wrote it for you. And she threw me out of her class and that was the end of my English lessons in secondary school. But who would I see when I went to collect my WAEC results? Teacher, who said, "buda, I bet you failed English". What great delight it was to wave my A1 in English and A1 in maths in her stupid ignorant discriminating face! And before some dumb fuq says "white supremacy", teacher was a black Yoruba Nigerian, same as me, and the school was in Lagos in Nigeria. |

Nigeria, like many other Sub-Saharan Africa countries, has a waste management problem. The Nigerian National Municipal Waste Management Policy (2020) gives no estimate but states that “Nigeria produces a large volume of solid waste out of which less than 20% is collected through a formal system”. This is lower than the World Bank’s estimate of average waste collection for Sub-Saharan countries, which is 44 percent. It also contrasts with the European and North American collection rate – 90 percent of waste generated. The problem is not only how much waste is collected but the lack of accurate data about how much waste is being generated in the first place. The Lagos State is a good example. Nigeria’s most populous city generated 10,000 tonnes of waste per day in 2005. And the Lagos State said in 2018 that the amount of waste generated then far “outweighs the official figure of 13,000 tons per day”. https://theconversation.com/waste-disposal-in-nigeria-is-a-mess-how-lagos-can-take-the-lead-in-sorting-and-recycling-206887

bemeruca:bemeruca, buda is not your master or your god that you should concern yourself with what you think buda supports so much. But if buda is that important to you, I buda free you from all obligations so you can go and support whatever you want to support. |
bemeruca:I wonder how many times I need to inform you that I do not see what you see? I mean, it's obviously not like we have the same abilities. bemeruca:Go and learn to read so you can see for yourself, bemeruca. I don't allow my time to be wasted so. |
bemeruca:Why should I compete with anyone be they white or green when I have managed white and blacks already? bemeruca:I wouldn't know "how does people of color required to raise their hands before they speak in class white supremacy", and I have never said "people of color required to raise their hands before they speak in class white supremacy" neither. And nor does it say so in the book because if it did, teachers, both black and white, would point out that would mean disorder in their class and no one regardless of colour would learn. |
bemeruca:There would even be white kids living in this same neighbourhood that might not have the same opportunity to learn don't you think, or do you believe sitting in the same class implies equal opportunity? What if one kid comes from a home where father was alcoholic and was up last night beating mother, would that kid have the same opportunity as others because they are in the same class? And what if one kid walked miles with no breakfast while another had breakfast and was driven in a car, would they both have equal opportunity to learn? bemeruca:You've managed to convince yourself of what you see and think is real and can't be bothered to open your eyes so you can see. buda opposes the fact that some people, regardless of their race or gender or sex or whatnot, are victims of poverty and ignorance, and while I wish you would educate yourself, we must make allowances for your deficiencies and help you overcome them knowing it is you who must do the work to learn because no one owes you anything.
|
bemeruca:Read up on the straw man fallacy. It might inform what you did here. bemeruca:Just look at how you conduct yourself and you might understand that some people who were taught in the same classes as you learnt something different to what you seem to have learnt. bemeruca:So, the book is advocating that teachers give students work but the student does not need to do the work because they don't have to show it if they are black or latinx? bemeruca:I suggest you repeat English reading class if you were discriminated against and never learnt to understand what you read because I did not say anyone asked me to be bus driver. |
bemeruca:Did you go to any school? Is this how they taught you to engage with others? Do you not think that if this were the conduct you were taught to engage with others that your teacher might have not taught you well or you might just not have learnt well? |
IjeBos:I was lost for words myself. A Nigerian saying black people have the same opportunities white people have anywhere especially in America. He probably thinks Nigerians have the same opportunity as Americans too despite our poorly funded schools and poorly trained and compensated teachers and lack of electricity which disadvantage us, and if some rise up and demand equity on the business stage, which pretty is relatively there already, he'd likely say "buda supports white supremacy because maths is racist". |
CodeTemplar:Government actually needs to take a lot more loan to build the rail infrastructure of Nigeria. We need super bullet trains that do Ibadan-Lagos in 10 minutes, Lagos-Abuja 30 minutes and 15 to Onitsha, and that takes a whole heap of government borrowing to achieve. Unless it's privatised of course. But I don't think I need say what would happen in that case I hope.
