Define "supporting", elated.

Let us start there before I ask you where I support homosexuals, whom I would never define as abominables because that will show my own heart is abundant with abomination!

Below is my view. It should save you bearing false witness against buda.

Seriously! 18 pages of poo poking and this isn't the only thread! If muttley were arguing for the non-condemnation of ss poking I'd seriously be on his side with tons of Bible too or does your own Bible not clearly infer that after I rape your husband you should give me your son too? Besides, if a person wants to ss poke of what concern of anyone is it? If I want to poke poo or be bent over by someone who consents to bend me over and poke my poo is it really anyone else's concern? Do I need the permission of any other than the person I'm bending over and poking poo with? So what if it's written in some book that I am pong if poo poker is it your poker that will pong? So what if some book says poo pokers pong, is book my God? Even if my God self comes down from heaven and tells me I pong for poking poo, so what? Is it not God? Is it not true that I can bend over bend over bend over and poke poo until I don't want to bend over and poke poo anymore and just say "Abba, Father, forgive me for I have poked plenty poo", and Abba will just forgive my pong? And even if I don't say "Abba" and say "fuq off" instead, can anything worse than burning in hell till eternity happen to me? Oh, I get it! You want to save me from burning in hell! Why? I made a choice and for some odd reason you want to save me! Are you my Messiah? Are you God? Am I poking your poo? Does my poo poking make you pong?

If I chose to poke my poker in poo it's my poker that will pong so you all should seriously consider minding your own pokers and stop behaving as if it is your poker that I am poking in poo or your poo that I am poking my poker in or you that pongs when I poke my poker in poo that isn't yours!

To you muttley, it is clear that as far as the Bible is concerned a poo poker pongs and no amount of twisting and turning can change that fact. You can go and poke poo and bear the consequential pong but you can't poke poo and have Biblical sanctification to pong unless you've figured out a way to have your cake in your belly as well as in front of you, and seriously, if you have figured that out I'd personally be wondering why you'd want to be applying it to your pong and not to your bank account or something way more rewarding than the pong of your poker!

And to you non-poo-pokers, even eating fish without scales makes you pong along with lots of other things way more common than poo poking so delight that you never ate mackerel and titus or you pong just as a poo poker and we shall see each other in hell barring "Abba Father" to the Graceful Merciful Ever Forgiving Lord God, of course! There's is indeed a reason to not be casting stones!

I'm hoping with this that I've got all you pongers out of my system, and I don't mind being quoted but a pong on anyone who ccs buda in a poo poking pong for I don't appreciate being raped and would rather you don't or I'll personally chop off your pokers so you have nothing to rape me with!!

You all are warned!

Kobojunkie:
If dissecting the story critically means injecting your private interpretations into what is written,...
Private understanding, more likely, long before interpreting. And why shouldn't I? Do I not have eyes to read and a brain with which to understand? If not, does that not make a mockery of the Comforter Jesus sent from the father?

Private interpretation is when people start redefining the meaning of death so it means living an extra 800 years and supposedly populating the earth. If I died and went on to do a tenth of what Adam did, my name, at least, will live on for as long as Adam's.

Kobojunkie:
Again, stick to analyzing what is written ...
I always do, Kobojunkie. Most here can't seem to read, so we unfortunately never get to the analyzing stage.

But just in case you are up to it.

There were forums before that. I'd spent years on Nigerians in America before it shut down and I found here.

Golly, forums are from way back in late 80s early 90s, before the days of what became the internet when we used to dial up to bulletin boards, and that was way before Yahoo groups of which there were many Nigerians.

Nairaland evolved from what preexisted it and will someday evolve into what survives it.

Psalm 15

1 Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
    Who may live on your holy mountain?

2 The one whose walk is blameless,
    who does what is righteous,
    who speaks the truth from their heart;
3 whose tongue utters no slander,
    who does no wrong to a neighbor,
    and casts no slur on others;
4 who despises a vile person
    but honors those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
    and does not change their mind;
5 who lends money to the poor without interest;
    who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.

Whoever does these things
    will never be shaken.

Music to my soul and joy to my heart. What a sweet Psalm!

Only if you knew what that Psalm means, budaatum.
It means "love your neighbours a d your enemies moreso", or you will not end up in the Lord's Tabernacle!

What does it matter what most believe or do not believe? We are attempting here to dissect a story found in the book of Genesis as we would any story in a literature class. undecided
No, Kobojunkie, believers are not trying to dissect a story. Believers are defending their beliefs about the story. Or why else would people who read that Adam did not die when he ate a fruit be trying to redefine death to avoid the fact that the story describes a Garden of Eden owner who lied? Even the God is written to have said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil", which sounds like they were very alive indeed, unless you wish to claim they became dead like God.

Boko haram do that. They stop people from going to school so they don't get nourished with the knowledge of good and evil. They keep the book behind the cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth in a language the reader's can not understand to guard the way to the tree of life so the poor don't become like one of them. Nigeria does the same thing by not adequately funding our education system then hiring inexperienced youth corpers as teachers. Meanwhile, the "gods" send their own children to eat fruits of trees of knowledge in the Gardens of Harvard and Yale and Oxford and Cambridge.

If I tell you not to nourish yourself with knowledge I'm sure you'd ask why, if you don't first tell me to go and die. In fact, if you had not nourished yourself with knowledge you wouldn't be here discussing with buda!

Dissecting would be us asking why and what for, and what the consequences are, instead of believing the nonsense some, who themselves have eaten fruits of knowledge, tell some to believe.

Indulge me please a few more random questions.

1. Is there systemic racism in the USA against coloured people - with particular reference to African Americans?

2. Is there any significantly excessive police brutality towards African Americans in the USA?

3. Is it true or false that the history of African Americans in the USA - from slavery right through the major events of the 20th century and up till date provide sufficient reasons to conclude that African Americans have been historically economically deprived in the USA in such a way that they cannot reasonably be at par with the white population?

If you don't accept the story as told by the writer, then reject it in its entirety and move on. Simple! undecided
Just accepting is not an option for me, as that would involve not using the brain in my head. An alternative is to try to understand the consequence of accepting the story or not, especially once I've accepted it's a story.

If I were placed in the Garden of Eden, I would not need a snake to tell me to ask a God why I would die if I ate the fruit of the the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. In fact, I'd start by asking what death is, and what good and evil are first. And after I ate it and did not die but went on to reproduce and create descendants in the billions, I'd likely not trust that God no more if I did to begin with.

Anyway. Thanks for your time.

Death only came into the picture as a consequence of Adam's sin against God, and what followed that was eviction from the garden. What was more likely to have happened had adam not sinned is that he would have become an eternal being — had eaten from the tree of Life— and maybe served some fruit by God Himself from the tree of knowledge of good and Evil aka Truth. undecided
"Likely to have happened"?

Adam was 130 when he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth. After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.

Personally, 930 is eternal. To have lived so long today, one would need to have been born in 1093AD, which was an awful long time ago. Would Adam have procreated at all, I wonder? I can see God with only 2 slaves, or perhaps God might have "likely" created some more, though eternal being Adam would have had to qualify as a God in his right too. A 930 year old person would be worshipped in any community or nation, I'd think.

That said, "eternal being"? Hope you not making stuff up, because, as far as I know, no living thing has ever become an "eternal being". They all die, and that includes the gods, though some do live 1000s of years.

You're spending a lot of time trying to rationalize to people who are so deeply programmed that even when they learn that their programmers have been lying to them(Fox News), they'll just as easily turn on that programmer. There is nothing new in this but just a continuation of their troubled minds. Just add this to the litany of things like, just from recent memory, the Parkland shooters, pizzagate, Seth Rich, Qanon, the stolen election, etc. etc. Now it's Jan. 6th, which we all watched in horror, was just a peaceful tour all instigated by someone named Ray Epps (does it even make sense?).

I think a more meaningful discussion is what leads people to discard fact based reality and cling to these delusions, despite a plethora and an abundance of evidence to the contrary.
No, Ijebos, I am not "spending a lot of time trying to rationalize to people who are so deeply programmed that even when they learn that their programmers have been lying to them(Fox News), they'll just as easily turn on that programmer".

What I am spending a lot of time doing is practice how to remain very patient with people who are so deeply programmed that they will twist facts and evidence so much that it blinds them, and I am also playing chess.

You should read me with those who claim Adam and Eve died when they ate the Fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil despite it very clearly written to the contrary.

It is part of my long term investigation into "what leads people to discard fact based reality and cling to these delusions, despite a plethora and an abundance of evidence to the contrary".
