EBEk101: EBEk101:You did not say they "must" exactly. You said "a lot", and disregarded that might be due to their stup¹d parents who did not bring them up to chase their own money. |
A driver has admitted killing a British teenager in a car crash shortly after the 19-year-old had been released from a Dubai prison sentence for having sex with a 17-year-old girl. Marwaan Mohamed Huseen, 20, was attempting to get away from pursuing Metropolitan police officers when he crashed a BMW into a lorry, killing 19-year-old Marcus Fakana, who was one of the vehicle’s passengers. A second passenger in the vehicle was also badly hurt in the crash, which happened in the early hours of 3 October last year in Tottenham, north London. At Wood Green crown court on Friday, Huseen appeared by video link from HMP Pentonville to plead guilty to causing the death of Fakana by dangerous driving. Huseen, who admits being uninsured and unlicensed at the time, pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving to another of the passengers in the BMW. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026/jan/23/driver-admits-killing-teenager-marcus-fakana-in-car-crash-shortly-after-his-release-from-dubai-prison

Sangoamadioha1:I hope you know you can ungrain bias in yourself and not roll how many ïgnorant people in the human race roll. One does not need to be ïgnorant and stup¹d just because some in the human race are ïgnorant and stup¹d. |
EBEk101:My hope is that you bring up your daughters to be strong women who earn their own money instead of relying on bagging a wealthy man as you seem to think women must.
|
okrote4real:You wil not be "actively helping to uplift smaller nations" if you say " your country first", and atempting to claim you would be is assuming we are all stup¹d! It's like you saying " okrote4real first", and expect me yo think you care about me! (Do note I'm aware you did not write this, and I'm only using you as a example). America first means you are lifting America, and often at the expense of other countries. And you must understand that China, for instance, might also say China first, and then you'd have a war for supremacy. |
Double0h7:Well, this is a first try. These had no leaves when I started, so they must be absorbing water somehow. I did put some in a dish, but they died, sadly. I'll see how they fair, and adjust from my learning. |
Ceejayooo:It should be enough, but there does not seem to be enough sane humans, sadly, which is why some create these sorts of threads to show their lack of love for humanity and for their neighbours. |
Kobojunkie:No, kobo, I did not "did the same" and quote verses the out of context to prove the Bible advocated murder. You'd note this if you read the posts and those that succeeded it. And if you read the below specifically, perhaps you'd not accuse me so. budaatum:But I'm glad you did not fall into the trap and quote Quranic verses out of context. It ensures my regard and respect for you remains intact, somewhat. |
Double0h7:No visible roots yet. The stem just swells and absorbs water, the shorter one much better than the tall one, which looks brown and unhealthy. I'm cutting off the dead part today in fact, hoping it might thrive. Will pot in soil once healthy roots appear.
|
Double0h7:Double0h7, I could not wait till February, and by your inspiration decided to try bitter leaf, a vegetable I love so much. I put stalks in water mid December, and now have some leaves.
|
EBEk101:I wonder why you'd be sure I'd be chasing men with money when my parents have trained me to go earn the money directly myself and not just be influenced by society. Is it because you "follow society’s influence and the mindset often carried by most of your gender" and believe everyone must be weak like you are?
|
Kobojunkie:Quote chapter and verse that you read that tells Muslims to kill non-believers then. It is that simple! |
Kobojunkie:I so love how you ignore the fact that a city with only 15% of Muslims elected a Muslim whom you believe practices a religion that you claim wants to murder you. Even New York that is 57-60% Christain just elected a Muslim mayor, but you want to believe Muslims are encouraged by their Quran to murder non-believers, and you want me to discard all those opinions and voters that disagree with yours and elected a Muslim and consider yours worthy of consideration. Sorry, no can do. Enjoy your opinion. And I have read the Quran. That's why I know it does not encourage Muslims to murder you! And that's apart from the fact that I bet you meet Muslims every day and none of them have ever threatened to murder you, yet. |
Kobojunkie:That is predominance! It means more Londoners are Christians than any other faith, and not 'most Londoners are Christians', which is what you seem to think it means. The fact is London, which is 40% Christian do not think Islam promotes their murder, or they wouldn't have elected a Muslim as Mayor! |
Kobojunkie:Yes, I think you should! Unless you want to argue that Muslims don't do what you claim their religious books says they should do! And for your information, the Quran does not "promote violence against those who do not subscribe to the religion"! And claiming it does is like saying Christianity promotes crusades because some Christians interpreted their Bible so, or that Muslims adhere to the interpretations of boko haram!
|
Kobojunkie:I knew you'd want to argue it, so explain to me please how Christianity, with 40%, is not the religion with the most adherents in London! |
And yet, he plans to charge for it! https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/may/14/gavin-newsom-healthcare-low-income-immigration-status
|
Kobojunkie, and before you start arguing about predominance, perhaps look up its definition. As used, it means Christianity has the most adherents of any religion, and we Londoners, including atheist me, elected a Muslim as Mayor!
|
Kobojunkie:The problem with some of you is you completely disregard your own personal experience and say what contradicts said experience. I am very certain there must be Muslims where you live. Pray tell, how many of them have tried to kill you? When you go to the market, how many times have you asked the religion of the person selling to you to ensure you are not buying from a Muslim who wants to put poison in what you buy? Regarding your "This topic concerns the religion of Islam and its teachings for those who subscribe to it", the Mayor of London subscribes to Islam and has not killed anyone yet, and nor do we Londoners have any reason to think he intends to, which is why we have elected him three times already. As to your "First, London is not predominantly Christian", "the religious composition of London comprised: 40.7% Christianity, 27.1% No religion, 15.0% Islam, 5.1% Hinduism, 1.7% Judaism, 1.6% Sikhism, 0.9% Buddhism, 1.0% Other religion, and 7.0% Not stated". Wiki. And you contesting this makes me think you are just pulling your supposed facts out of thin air. |
Fenrir:That is your own definition of your own atheism, which is your "belief". I do not believe there are no gods because I know there are no gods, and that gods are created by human beings who believe in their imaginary existence. So perhaps you should go do some more research so your "beliefs" can become actual knowledge. |
Fenrir:Mohammed is alleged to have written the Quran, so a fair comparison would be him with other supposed writers of Bible books, some of who were warlords. And I'm very certain you wouldn't claim the Bible advocates murder just because some verses state that their God told them to murder people. Or would you? |
Fenrir:No I did not try to imply any such stupïdness, despite that might be the understanding of the quoted text if not read in context. It's the same way you inferred the Quran was calling for murder which it clearly didn't, but you couldn't bother reading the book to find out. |
Fenrir:There was probably no Jesus neither, but that's irrelevant since we can argue the stories even if made up. |
Fenrir:Are you suggesting we don't ask "how many people did the Christian God and the supposed father of Jesus ask to be killed? Or is it that your own atheism separates the teachings of Jesus from that of the Old Testament it was built on? By the way, comparing Mohammed to Jesus just shows the limits of your knowledge. It would be more appropriate to equate him with Elijah who executed 450 prophets of Baal, and Elisha whose blessing led to bears mauling youths who mocked him, and Moses. |
Kobojunkie:No, kobo, I don't know what you claim. So please say you know, without including me in your "we"! |
Fenrir:I am likely way more atheist than you are, and only your blindness would make you claim I am of either religion. This thread is entirely about religions. And that includes all the priests and prophets and writers in their respective books! And if either religion were calling for the eradication of people of other faiths (as opposed to the ïgnorants who think some faith calls for such eradication) that faith itself should be eradicated! |
Kobojunkie:You are entitled to disagree. Especially when you call ops post "Islamic truth", which it clearly is not. If op's post were "Islamic truth", don't you think most of the world would ban it? And do you think predominantly Christian London would elect a Muslim as Mayor three times if what op posted were "Islamic truth"? |
Fenrir:And I suppose you missed your own foot when you quoted "Mohammed 60:8" instead of "60. Al-Mumtahanah"? |
Fenrir:I am very certain I can compare Islam and Christianity however, especially since the latter is not all about Jesus. Or would you like to say God did not tell his own converts to use a sword?
|
Fenrir:Which proves my point. You didn't read the book, and are quoting verses out of context with no understanding whatsoever! And I am a born atheist bred in Europe, not that that should matter. |
Fenrir:Your post is like me posting the below and then claiming Jesus is calling for the murder of those who don't believe what he says they must, which is just plain stup¹d and ïgnorant, and should indicate I have not read the book or just don't understand what I read. But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. Luke 19:27 |
