Workch:If she reads this, she might ask for a ₦3m wedding dress so you can get as much cheating rights as your heart desires! |
dollytino4real:I specifically chose mechanic. He doesn't pay. He goes to the oga mechanic and begs to let him sweep floor and run errands. And he doesn't eat until he sweats! Life is hard like that. |
Workch:I do get it! I just don't get it like you want it got. And to be sincere with you, I strongly disapprove of your entire thread. You shouldn't be inviting Nairaland toxic into this very serious matter that you ought to resolve with your future wife. And I hope, no, pray you don't invite us into your marriage! |
Workch:Then you better learn that a marriage is when you stop thinking "I want", and learn to say "we". And stop seeing only that day and her ₦300k dress, because what you see on your wedding day might define your entire marriage! |
Workch:I think Nairaland has spoiled you. Are you sure you are not one of those redpill boys? Wedding is the ceremony of the joining of two human beings who want to commit to each other and likely create life. If you are not going gaga over it, perhaps you ain't yet ready. |
Workch:"All these wedding brouhaha"? Are you sure you are ready to get married? Personally, I don't agree with this your "renting a gown". It makes me think of renting a husband, and I'm very certain you don't want to be rented. I think she wants to present herself to you gift wrapped in good packaging, so she should buy the packaging with her own money instead of asking you to buy packaging for her. |
Workch:You wrote "sew for herself", and not "She want to hire a tailor", which is not "want to sew for herself"! Tell her to use her own money! No be only she dey marry! Incidentally, how much will your own wedding dress cost? And congratulations! |
odinga1of:Yes, I can read Naptu2's diary. Below is his latest post.
|
Workch:I think you are "the person not reasoning properly, or you at least want us to not reason properly, because I can't see where you are telling us the wedding dress she wants to sew for herself cost a "lot more money" than the ₦50, 000 you offered her. That said, and even if it does cost a lot more money, she might be sewing her wedding dress to advertise her skills and make a lot more money, which would make a lot of sense to an entrepreneurially minded future husband that you might be. |
odinga1of:You made me think he disappeared! ![]() https://www.nairaland.com/822196/it-begins-me |
GpSarz:Why? Was she his only student, or was he going to visit the home of all his students to introduce himself too? I'm sorry he died but I can't help thinking he went looking for his own death. |
IbeOkehie:Russia has far too much on its plate with Ukraine I'd bet, and it favours China that dump is paving the way for them to go do to Taiwan what dump is doing to others, since it would be odd for dump to tell China not to do what he's doing. But I do wonder what he'd do if military force doesn't work. Throw the kitchen sink too at all the 90+ countries he tarriffed? I'm giving more time. Not to dump though, but to those 90+ countries. I'm specifically waiting to see S. Korea spend tax payers money making dump great again. It's looking more like they had a deal until they now haven't.

Dtruthspeaker:One single person is your "women hate men"? I guess you'd never marry a woman then. |
Samantha125:Couples who want to remain married don't start off with "in case things don't workout", because just thinking "in case things don't workout" will make you do what will make things not work out. |
IbeOkehie:Don't you think you should tell dump this? It's after all not as if his tariffs are coercing Starmer and Carney or getting advantage over China. |
Putindbutt:It doesn't mean we are not generous to you begging urchins. |
BreakingNews21:Why not? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfCdXJsG-BI?si=pcUjxQEk0kwKxm6j |
PulaPower:I bet you don't get banned everyday as much as I do. Even Seun knows he is constantly illegally banning me!
|
gozmok1:Then Soludo should recognise this and provide security so shop owners can safely open their shops on Monday instead of asking shop owners to go risk their lives. |
njokuuche77:You are a wise and patient person. Not everyone is like you. When I grow up I pray I reason like you do. I'm saying this today because Diezani Alison-Madueke is currently being caught up with in court, and because I want you to know what I think of you based on your comment above. |
dollytino4real:One does need to invest to succeed, and sometimes that investment might be the money you'd have fed yourself with. |
ChybuzzDD:Yes I did. Pears too. My maize didn't though. Too cold. |
Bishop Sarah Mullally DBE has today (Wednesday 28 January) become the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury, at her Confirmation of Election at St Paul’s Cathedral. She is the first woman to hold the office in its 1,400-year history. https://www.archbishopofcanterbury.org/news/bishop-sarah-mullally-be-confirmed-archbishop-canterbury Henry Ndukuba, the archbishop of the Church of Nigeria, said it was insensitive “to the conviction of the majority of Anglicans who are unable to embrace female headship in the episcopate”. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/jan/28/sarah-mullally-first-female-archbishop-canterbury-vows-call-out-misogyny

IbeOkehie:As someone once said, 'it's the economy stup¹d'. And I can't wait for dump to inflict that pain. |
IbeOkehie:To different extents, and therefore consequences. You wouldn't after all compare Nigeria's indebtedness to that of Japan, or would you? But I guess you also don't know USA and Japan already tried to reduce debt with their money printer and it created inflation, which is why you'd suggest the money printer be USA's solution to debt without understanding it would reduce the value of the dollar and shoot the NYSE to like 100,000. Good luck to you, I say. |
More like Chelsea trying really hard To Terminate Raheem Sterling’s Contract, since they can't just "set" and terminate it, and would need a "mutual termination be agreed". |
ono:Of course you would scratch your head, ono. The thought of a Nazi German changing so much to accept his gay daughter for who she is should be enough to make you scratch your head. 'I’ll never forget him embracing me and loving me for who I am. His story is a true testament that people can change and love indeed can win.' Neumann added before stating her grandfather was one of her 'best friends' who accepted her as a gay woman. |
Maeve7:These lot know nothing about US debt and US bonds. Their focus is on the price of eggs and the stock market. Imagine calling the leader of a 40 trillion debt nation a lion, and those lending to it sheep who can do nothing. It's why my laughter is in Swahili. The US government carries a debt load built in a zero-rate world. |
raumdeuter:Those are the current leaders. We the people who hired those leaders will show you what we think of them soon. |
FarmilyFinance:No, I don't currently live in Nigeria. Wonder how you can tell by sound though. |
raumdeuter:No raum, I do not see how UK is shivering when dump speaks. We actually laugh at dump down here, and if our leaders shiver at him we'd elect new leaders. Or how do you think S. Koreans would react when their government decides to go invest $350bn in USA? And how do you think Canadians would react when USA fighter jets fly into their airspace? In fact, how would you react if a country you belong to goes to spend your tax money in USA to make America great? Would you just shiver? |
