When you’re done reading the book (heidegger) you claim I haven’t you’ll understand what I wrote. Don’t be like those “ignorant fuqs” now.
The cheek! Quoting one single sentence and thinking you could get away with hiding how ignorant you are! You must think we are all ignorant like you are, Martian, or you must at least believe so.

What you wrote is in the early parts of the book and could easily be gotten from a list of Heidegger's quotations, so stop trying to play wise and make out you read a book you never read like one who quotes a Bible verse and claims they read the whole book! Those who have read the whole book can very easily tell you are just a lying lazy fuq who never read the book but lies that he has!

Crap and beliefs are your purview. Your "understanding" will remain crap.
And you expect the crappy ignorant belief you uttered above to matter one single iota to buda?

Go on. Say it seriously. Make buda really laugh.

No, you can't spot nonsense when you see it. If you read useful works and actually acquire knowledge, the nonsense you come across won't appear to be so profound and you won't be here parading your interpretation of religious stories as knowledge.
You have not got a clue what I read, and you haven't got a clue what knowledge is or you would not be here talking about books you have not bothered to read at all, but I'm certain the irony of you spending so much time discussing the contents of books you've never read eludes you.

The same buda wrote the following, but of course it would be far too much for you to comprehend.

budaatum:
buda huh huh Torn huh huh "Three versions of truth" huh huh Where did you get all that from!?

buda would say "What is truth". But do know that buda does not do "belief", since to believe is to not know. If buda says "buda believes", it means, buda does not know because buda is ignorant.

As to your "torn between three versions", you can not count. For it is written:

Humans shall not live by bread alone or they shall be malnourished. Matthew 4:4

Because:

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. John 21:25

And:

"If all the trees on earth were pens and the ocean ˹were ink˺, refilled by seven other oceans, the Words of Allah would not be exhausted. Surely Allah is Almighty, and Wise". Luqman 31:27

There are no hints of skepticism in what you write except to disagree and insist that your opinions are correct interpretation of what’s written. You even quote random Bible verses like the rest.

While other Christians pray “in the name of Jesus”, buda prays “in the name of Jesus I read about in a book”. Same shit.

You’re like a solo version of Max who insists that other Christians are wrong except him and his 9,000,000.
And you, of course have stated all you say above with lots of skeptism, have you, while insisting that your opinions about buda are correct interpretations?

That is a blatant lie, Martian. I never said "Christians who don’t share your particular interpretation as “ignorant fuqs”".

In fact, you will hardly find a single Christian who shares my particular interpretation, and they can not all be ignorant fuqs! And if I say Christians are ignorant fuqs, what the heck would I have to call Martians?

You should read when I interpret Genesis 3 and tell how Eve was the first Biblical scientist and see how many say buda is satan and must burn in hell. But hey, some believe what they are told to believe while some of us will pluck the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil to see for ourselves if its true that on the day that we eat we shall surely die or not.

Christians read a book and believe what they read. buda reads books to understand what is written in books.

But as I said, hard for a Martian to make a lick of sense of what they can not be bothered to understand. Lol.

But of course it is just another interpretation of an abstract idea. Have I claimed otherwise, Martian? Or do you just not know that is how we humans learn?

I am of course relying on you using your own mind to interprete and understand the abstract idea to reason and make sense of the abstract idea, but rather amusingly, I'm beginning to realise such things are far beyond the minds of bla bla bla Martians.

Remain calm now. Lol.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Letters Killeth Without The Spirit. by budaatum: 8:32pm On Mar 10, 2021
First. You say, "a book". Jesus specifically said that those who read only one book will become malnourished, so do not live by bread alone but by every Word that God wrote.

Second. God does not write in books. God takes mud, crafts it in God's image, and breathes God's Word's in it. This is what John is telling you when he says all things including humans, are created by the Word.

Know that I expect you to disagree because no one has told you to believe this yet and the Holy Spirit has not yet ministered it to you.

Kobojunkie:
1. Did Jesus Christ teach you that a book, that did not even in existence when He walked the earth, was a holy book? undecided
Yes. When Jesus was tempted on the mountain, he said "It is written", three times, and satan departed from him.

Only those who read books, which Jesus obviously did, and who understand, which Jesus obviously did, can say what is written to such effect.

We also learn that Jesus the Word became flesh and lived amongst us, so one should expect some smart dudes to furnish us with the Word that became flesh that we now read about Christ because if they had not written what we now read, Christ will have died and be forgotten when we crucified him.

Kobojunkie:
2. Did any of the prophets of God before Jesus Christ see a future where a holy book called a "Bible" by those who have it, would come down from God to you?undecided
Yes. If they hadn't seen a future where a book called whatever you want to call it would be read by you today, they would not have bothered to write it at all.

In fact, you yourself add to what they wrote with every word that you write here on Nairaland, except that because you are not aware of that fact, instead of allowing yourself to be directed by the Lord God Almighty, you write your own understanding and claim it is from God.

Kobojunkie:
3. We learn from the book of Genesis that all Knowledge, be it of Good or of Evil, belongs to God - i.e. all knowledge is inspired by God since it all belongs to God. God is the one who doles out knowledge, wisdom, and understanding to All those who seek it. So, this idea that only the knowledge in the Bible belongs to God stands in contradiction to the very word of God as documented in many of its books. undecided
It is your understanding of the Word of God that stands in contradiction, and not the Word of God.

First, you assume that God wrote that which you read in the Bible, which is clearly an error on your part. Then you assume that God's knowledge is in only one single book when Christ specifically said that the reading of one single book will malnourish you as we can obviously see.

I guess it's going to be difficult for you to fully grasp the knowledge that God is giving to you because buda is a mere human being and you seem not to trust the Holy Spirit that is within youself. But I have faith in you, kobojunkie, and always will.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Bible And Its Uncertainties by budaatum: 8:08pm On Mar 10, 2021
Martian:
Lol, calm down.
The application of the logos to Jesus can be interpreted however a Christian understands it or according to the doctrine of the Christian sect they belong to regardless of john’s intention or your understanding. Why are they ignorant bleeps? Because they don’t interpret their religion the way you do?
You act as if the “logos”’is a fact and that there aren't multiple definitions of the concept.
Why do you like telling me to calm down, Martian? Do you seriously believe I sit in my house getting agitated because you can not understand what it is that I am saying? What kind of buda would I be if I get agitated so easily? Trust me when I say you amuse me when you think I can be uncalm.

First, I never talk religion. Which I will define for you here as "the crap that others have created and told you you must believe inside your head".

Second, whenever I talk to you Martian, I believe I am talking to a non-earthling who has therefore been able to escape the religionising of earthly humans. I must say that I am often amused to find that humans are capable of creating crap in Martians heads too, lol.

The word "Logos" has quite a lot of theory behind it in Greek philosophy prior to its inception into Christianity. So while you may be convinced of the multiple definitions of the concept of logos as given by the numerous diverse sects, you might want to study the history of the word itself instead of just claiming it means whatever anyone may decide it might mean since it must be obvious to even Martians that not all human understandings are equally as valid as all others.

I mean, you might think as a sect that buda is not calm for instance, while buda in buda's sect might be as calm as, for the sake if it let's say an avocado if just for the mere fact that I'm calmly about to eat one, don't you think?

Believe in your strength. Find God.

Confession

I almost jumped down the op's throat when I saw the title of this thread until I read what the op had to say and felt I must confess that I almost jumped down the op's throat when in fact the op is somewhat saying that the essence of God in your life is that you must believe in yourself, though I personally would have used words like "trust" and "understand" thyself.

It's like stepping out of a boat in the middle of the ocean. One can believe that one would not sink when one steps out of a boat in the middle of the ocean, but the truth is that one does not really know if one will sink until one has tested whether one will sink or not when one steps out of a boat in the middle of the ocean. But if one has tested the belief one has that one will not sink if one steps out of a boat in the middle of the ocean, one will definitely know if one will sink or not and therefore be able to trust ones tested knowledge.

And that's the God bit, I guess. That assurance of testing so one has knowledge whether one will sink if one steps out of a boat in the middle of the ocean, and of course an understanding of what it means to step out of a boat in the middle of the ocean. For I can just about hear already those who think literally saying, "of course buda will sink if buda steps out of a boat in the middle of the ocean", but I'd just laugh at the silly lot who can't see the submerged inflated dinghy that the Lord advised buda to place in the ocean beneath your eyeline that buda would be stepping out of the boat and into the ocean to step unto. For who said God ain't all seeing and immensely wise.

Now, let me post an earlier prepared video of buda jumping out of a aeroplane to see if buda can fly. Lol. And please know that I am in disguise so you can't see my tits!

Do you also believe that Matthew, John, and Mark did not thoroughly research because they did not include a line stating something similar to what Luke said in their own write-ups? undecided
Not only did Matthew, John, and Mark not do the research, Matthew, John, and Mark did not write the Gospels that bear their names as you will find if you do your own research, and even Luke's authorship is disputed.

Myer:
The Bible should not contradict itself no matter how alive it comes to you. The issue here is that there are verses contradicting themselves which 8s why it's difficult to have a biblical stand on any doctrine.
Should? Are you like those who refuse to accept what you see with your own two eyes and so try to impose your will and desire on what is, or will you understand what you see for what is?

The problem is that you seek for doctrine, as in, a belief or set of beliefs that you must hold on to, rather than to 'understand' that which you read, which is why you are confounded by the contradictions.

If you study the encounters between Jesus and those he constantly argued with, you will find they were trying to impose doctrine while he conquered them with understanding.

It is as Paul said. "When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child, but when I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me" and understood.

Anyway, it seems to me as if you have not yet begun. Here's some contradictions in the Bible for you to further wrap your head around.

According to God, we are cursed if we trust in "self" since we are also human - flesh and blood. Rather, we are all called to our trust in God.
However you wish to decieve yourself into believing it is God that you are trusting in, it is very obvious to most people that it is in your very own understanding of a book that you read that you are placing your trust.

It is for this very reason that a third aspect of the Godhead called the Holy Spirit is sent inside of you to further minister to you so that you may learn to stop deceiving yourself instead of you making out that you are the sole mouthpiece of God!
