This is my theory. Maybe, NCDMB sent the list of "must be on the list", so that testmi can add it to merit list, and they will all be invited for interview. What if they actually invite 2000 for interview as someone has earlier suggested and they end up employing 1000. Say, ratio 600: 400 connect: merit. My wish anyways. What will be will be. We go dey alright!

The interview may likely be in March but decumentation is in the second quarter due to the fact payment issue nt yet Incorporated in 2021 budget but was presented yesterday before chief of staff to the president for approval for new staff payment . 500 will be employed both GT and EH. This is cos 2019 employment was nt successful and proposed 2020 employment too as well as 2021 proposed employment. The management decided to combined all together to ensure pending employment is cleared due to the fact that Corona and other insecurity contributed immensely towards it's delay and hence the need to combine all.

I guess your info is in line with this? @lunex, 500 and 600 no too far. It may be straight APL. Well it's not over until it's over. Thanks for the info.

Do you know for sure if the story is fake? What’s the connection between him being suicidal and your colleagues who have been unemployed for 15 years? Does one event depend on the other? Like they didn’t get suicidal means he lied about getting suicidal? That was not necessary na. Had a colleague who killed himself for failing a course ( in the UK), I’ve also had colleagues who passed only 2 courses out of 8. Bro, our abilities to withstand pressure and misfortunes differ. Evaluating his reasons for wanting to commit suicide on the basis of gravity, seems like downplaying the effects of depression. If You’ve ever been depressed, the least you owe any one who has been thru that is respect. But if even you can’t do that, at least don’t talk down on them.
Whatever impression you have of the story is personal; you’re not obliged to believe. But it’s against emotional intelligence to react just the way you did. That lacks empathy to be honest.

I’ve been suicidal severally for reasons that might be too trivial to you. But then that’s me. I’m not emotionally accountable to anyone on that basis. Please let’s don’t downplay on mental stress, whether we believe a story or not.

I initially want to quote him and comment, but I had to let things be. This life is deep, if you don't connect with other people's story, just pass! They did not force you to read. Everything is now scam on nairaland. Make them at least wrap this recruitment up, so that I unfollow this thread, some comments can practically make you sick!

Last Year I attempted suicide thrice....
I felt depressed because I felt my life was stagnant...
Most of my friends got jobs and did well after we completed our NYSC, it was just me...
I got more than 300 regret mails...
I even went for an interview at a coffin shop with my Oil and Gas Degree and got rejected...
I got an internship job of which I wasn't paid a dine but they used me as houseboy forgetting I was also a graduate' washing plates for Staffs.
In just one month my story changed....
I am almost rounding up my MSC at a reputable school and have secured a job as a Production Engineer with an Oil and Gas firm...
Now I am considering turning down NCDMB if I get it...
Many of us here are going through some hard/ difficult situation, I want to urge you to put your trust in God and lay down your problems at his feet....
Pick up yourself and keep hustling hard...

Check Linkedin profile of people from NCDMB, although i was surprised to see that some people actually started 2019 which there wasn't any open recruitment. Probably some underground quick recruitment at that time. But this advert is 2020. My opinion though.
