Me: My Mum will cover my tuition while my husband will cover I and my daughter’s living expenses.

Me: My Mum is the Proprietress of the school I currently work while my husband is an auto dealer, he is into import and sales of cars here in Nigeria.
VO: Where will you be staying for the duration of your programme?
Me: Meadows Estate at bleep- it’s a school recognized off campus.
VO: Have you made arrangements for your daughter’s care?
Me: Yes, she will be cared for at child center daycare while I attend lectures.
VO: What’s the population of the school you work?
Me: Student population of roughly 959, staff strength of 36 academic and 22 non academic staffs.
VO: Your husbands business what year did he start?
Me: 2015
VO continues typing for awhile then picks the blue slip and handed over to me with my passport and i20
Me: Is there anything you would have needed more clarification on as you saw I was a bit distracted and unsettled with my baby crying and me trying to pacify her and answering you in between.
VO responds it’s all in the blue slip, you can reapply at a later date.

Gurus in the house, please I need advice as to what went wrong. I already deferred my admission to the Fall semester and would be reapplying. I would appreciate suggestions on how to improve my application next time.
And also if I’m asked what has changed since my last application, any suggestions on what to say because I haven’t changed my sponsors or my school.

I think funding was the issue. The VO was not convinced your sponsor is capable enough.
I will suggest you try to get funding or apply for a loan.

That my passport is ready.on getting there to collect my passport they said someone else has collected the passport on my behalf

Send marriage certificate to the school or the embassy. Im just asking if my mum can join me ,so things will be easier. It wont be easy taking care of kids , schooling for a starter like me. Im trying to weigh my options. Is mother a dependent thats what i want to know, has anyone tried it before.

You will need to send it to the school. You will take it along to the embassy too, though there is a high chance it would not be asked. I know someone who have tried it before and the mother and baby were denied. But there is no harm trying, you might be lucky.

I'm not sure you can use your mum as a dependant. In fact you will need to send your marriage certificate to confirm your spouse is indeed your partner. I will suggest you take your kids and apply for visiting visa for her later.

And 8 and 7 are not too young too. They will go to school too.

Most? I do not know. But I know that not all schools require WES. You just have to check their website for individual school requirement(s).

Y'all Listen Up, I was the guy who was having issues with my PayPal account in making my GRE payments for additional score report, @keagan quoted my post with his number, telling me to reach out so that he can help me with his American PayPal account(I noticed he has since deleted that post from this thread) and see if it works, since I sent the money and the payment didn't work, the @Keagan guy had since stopped picking his calls or replying his text messages, 09077864983, I have contacted my Bank and his bank and they confirmed to me that the money was not sent, on running his number via my True caller I realized that he's been a serial Scammer which made someone to save his number with it, personally 13k is too small compared to the 100's of thousands I have spent in this admission journey but then I'm just putting this out here so that non of you all will fall victim of these dubious individuals, it's my bad that I didn't do my due diligence before transacting with him but when the opportunity comes I'll teach a lesson he'll never forget just because of 13k, that's the only promise I'm making him, be safe you all.
