sonnie10: Summa cum lauda gpa is range between 3.7-4.0 gpa. You don't have to score a perfect 4.0 to be recognized. If you a full time student, dedicated and without the distraction of work, bills and family, I don't see why you can't get it. The answer should be yes or no, I guess. |

mojolajesu: Hello All,
I see a number of guys that are recently denied complaining that couldn't get another date. Well, from my experience, you have to keep checking till the date shows up oo. I don't advise you to choose the regular option, you definitely don't want to blow up your opportunity again.
It took me about 14 days of constantly checking to see Sept 2022. I chose the date and applied for EA which got approved yesterday.
NB: I was denied December 1st in Lagos and my new application is in Abuja. Wow! Congrats! I'm looking forward to reading your approval transcript because I am taking mpower loan too for fall 2022. It will end in praise! |

adeheritage: Please I am in urgent need of helpful information for my stage of the process.
I have PhD admission with a graduate teaching assistantship position which provides full tuition fees waiver and a monthly stipend of 1995 USD.
I am supposed to have access to tetfund to cover my program in the US, but I am not going with tetfund for two major reasons. 1. For my intended resumption date (January 2022), tetfund application is too late and will only necessitate a deferment which I don't wish to do. 2. Being that I have the full tuition waiver and the stated amount in monthly stipends, I feel it amounts to greed for me to still apply for tetfund, so that EFCC or ICPC will not be looking for someone late. does the above reasoning hold?
Now it's a family of four (one F1, three F2)
With the tuition waiver and stipends, will the embassy still expect me to show proof of fund and to what range of amount please?
Finally, since I got my i20 on 27th, i have not been able to complete the visa application form. The site appears to be rejecting information.
Can anyone please help me with some clues.
I will be grateful. Hi, congratulations on your offer. As regards your dependants, the amount varies, depending on the school. You will need to check the school's website to confirm. Also, if the excess of the funding do not cover the amount for dependant you will still need to show proof of funding that covers them. BTW, how did you get the I20, is their name reflected in it? However means you are able to cover them to get your I20 should suffice at the embassy too. Hope this helps. Best wishes! |

Heya93: Finally, my visa got approved. After emailing them last week, as advised here, I got a mail from them the next day, saying I should drop my passport with DHL, which I did without hesitation. I collected my passport yesterday. I can't thank God enough, and I thank you all here for your advice. For those still having cases similar to mine (administrative processing), I wish you luck. From my experience, I learnt one should message them as frequent as possible so they would not forget one's case. Congratulations |

Congratulations Gabriel1010: I have been an anonymous reader right here on nairaland since 2020. It would be a big crime if i got my visa approved and didn’t post it here because I virtually learnt everything I need to know right here.
First attempt VISA APPROVED: Abuja 9:15, 17th December 2021.
Course of study: MSC industrial technology ,California state university fresno. School cost: 28k Graduate assistantship: Nil VO: bald white guy
I was asked only 4 questions (suprised because i got like 20 questions on my transcript) Me: Good morning VO: nothing Me: Good morning Vo: pass me your I20 and passport ( I was like damn, how will one who refused to reply me approve this visa God) VO: Why are you going to USA
Me: I’m going for my graduate studies in industrial technology at csu fresno
VO: Where do you work
Me: jubaili agrotec, they sell and produce quality agricultural products such as pesticides herbicides ( I just said and the rest because everything i have prepared for disappeared at that moment)
VO: Who is going to be paying your deficits? Me: my dad, he is a saturation technician with chevron nigeria limited
VO: chevron Nigeria limited?
Me: Yes( I was expecting him to ask for proof of funds, but he refused and i learnt here that you don’t force documents on them)
VO: have you been outside the country recently ( can’t remember the exact words) Me : NO
VO: you’d picking up your passport in three days time. Me: Happy holidays and you look Good He finally smiled at me after declining our culture of Good morning.
I congratulate myself and everyone who got their visas approved today and to those that got denied, i hope you are not giving up because thats not even an option…YOU GOT THIS.
Pray and cry out to your lord God because thats the only way , and try as much as possible to dress well( i mean what you are comfortable with and can afford) appearance will make you sell anything to them. I tried and got myself the most expensive shirt i could get since that’s what they will be seeing.
Trust me you can’t be as shy as i am, i dont look straight into people’s eyes when talking…I’d rather be looking away to avoid eye contact, Dressing well gave me the confidence i needed to reply the vo even though my voice was a bit shaky. Thank y’all for taking your time to read this ❤️Love And light |

Heya93: Hi friends, Please advice me. I'm losing it, cus I don't even know where I stand exactly. I reported this on the 10th of Nov, and till date, they've not gotten back to me. My resumption date is 3rd Jan. I emailed them, and they said they will contact me once the admin processing is over. Remember, my passport is with me . Do I still stand a chance? When I check my visa status, I see that "a VO has refused ur visa... If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete". I've seen that most people placed under administrative processing have their passport collected. I'm so worried. Has anyone had a case similar to mine? Please let me know how it ended. Keep sending them reminder mails. Best wishes |
