Gokoyer1401: Hi boss, I am a potential PhD student waiting for decisions to be coming out for Fall 2022.
Can you give me some idea on school fees(range) for kids who are 5 and 1 yr old? Is the fees going to be vary with states? Thank you in advance for your time. In think you should be more concerned about the POF needed for them. |

Some mothers can manipulate their children. Limassol: The author of this post is mistaken in thinking children can easily be manipulated and misled, hardly, not when they are adults and grown ups... with time one could easily realise who is who. A nasty mother can't mask her nastiness, same for the father. |

Please does anyone know the required documents to process a Nigerian passport? Is a certificate of local government compulsory or can I use NIN in exchange? Please I want to know what exactly I need, thanks in advance. I know there is a thread on international passport, I've asked it there and not gotten an answer, that's why I'm asking here. |

mickel00: I saw someone mentioned the other day; that some schools are on the blacklist, and you might not get Visa if you apply to those schools. It's not true. The only thing I guess they consider is career progression. Let's say you are a bachelor's degree graduate and then you got admitted to a community college. Community Colleges are like our ND, you spend the first 2 years there, do OPT, then continue to the University to do your last two years. Now imagine yourself as a VO interviewing someone with a Bachelor's or master's saying they are going to a community college. It raises suspicion. So it's not the school in itself, but the person. I must add that, I'm saying this because I once watched an interview with a VO on EducationUSA, and she said expressly that, it is not their business what school you get admitted in. So many myths around this US study thing that if we don't do our research, we might make some mistakes. |

Keren12: Please help a friend Schools are about closing their intake Send a mail to the grad coordinator or whoever is the contact person. Tell him/her little about yourself, your undergrad course, your GPA, GRE score if available, TOEFL score if available, your experience and ask if you could get funding for your intended course. I usually do this before application so that I will not end up wasting money and time. Most time they will tell you there is funding but it is highly competitive(At least there is hope). But some will tell you you will have to wait till the second year as they would first confirm your ability. Hope this helps! |

cookies: Hello house, Please is it a red flag if one already has masters degree from the UK and wants to apply for another masters in US? It's about how you are able to convince the VO. But then, why not apply for Phd, you are more likely to get funding with that. Best wishes! |

phoyeks: Hello to everyone in the house especially the PlsGurus. I came to this platform about a month ago and have been learning so much from all the transcripts and responses. Pls I will like to ask for some counsel. This is my scenerio: My son got an admission for an undergraduate study for Fall 2022 just last December, 2021. Prior to this, we( the whole family) had applied for B1/B2 and had gotten an appointment for May,2022 as a group. Now my son is to apply for F1 and after calling the embassy, we were told there's the probability the whole family's appointment may be cancelled once we try to switch his application to F1. The next available dates are from July 2023! We are at a crossroad on what to do. Meanwhile his Sevis fee and acceptance fee have been paid for. Question: 1. Do we leave his B1/B2 so our appointment is secured i.e he will appear with us and afterwards file for F1? 2. Do we take the risk and cancel the appointment so his application for f1 is effected? 3. Can he appear for the Tourist visa and then pay for another MRV to fill for F1? I"ll really appreciate if these questions and what steps to take can be clarified. Thank you. I would suggest you go for the B1/B2 interview. If granted, according to the new waiver program, he might not need to appear for an F1 Interview. This is if he applies while still in Nigeria. NB: it is left to the prerogative of the VO either to waive or not waive a visa interview. This visa waiver is valid throughout 2022 for those who have been issued any other visa in the past and are not ineligible in any way. |

neurosci: What?? If they assume people forge documents, that will make them check documents even more, not less. They know by looking at the document, it would be almost perfect, you would have prepared yourself. However they want to hear you talk, and ask probing questions so as to detect if you are lying. |

dzee1: Good day All, First time here. I heard a rumor I need clarity on. I have a tourtist B1/B2 visa that is barely 4months old, and now I want to apply for an F1 for school. Someone mentioned that if they reject the F1 it's likely they will withdraw the Active B1/B2 I have.
Please is this possible? And why? I have been advised not to apply for F1 for this reason.
Please I need you guys advice on this, thanks. Not true. It is not uncommon to have two types of visas stamped. It is better you apply from your home country rather than from the US. So long! |

Swerveking14: Sigh, some of you can’t just read to understand….listen, mail the school that you are a Nigerian and “what’s is the first official language language “”English””. Some school would let it slide provided you can prove to them that you are fluent in English. Here in Minnesota, if it’s this same scenario, the school offer you something called “Acuplacer”, if you get a certain score, they let you proceed… that is what I’m explaining to you. Guy, be civil in a public space. That's the difference between you and the other guy. I just attached what I saw on the official website. I'm not even interested in the school to start with. There is a difference between native language and official language. I guess it's you that needs to read to understand. |

Amazingoreofe: Gurus in the house, please I need your advice.
I just got my PhD admission US for Fall 2022. G.A offer-Full funding.
I got several admissions last year but couldn't go because I was planning my wedding. Deferred
I am pregnant at the moment and my due date is march/April by God's grace. I plan on going to the US with my baby and my husband.(F2)
I am waiting for my baby to be born before proceeding with i20, visa and the rest.
Please I will like to ask if there are any restrictions for taking a 3 or 4 months old baby to the US.
Should I defer my admission till spring 2023?
Please If you have anyone that has gone through something similar, I'll need your advice.
Thank you Please don't defer. Your situation is a perfect one. Your husband will be there to help you care for your baby. Just concentrate on how to get funding that covers your dependants. I wish you the very best! |
