@ My people, I acted on this advice and I can confirm to you that I have my Medical Instruction with me right now. I submitted less than a month. So please act fast. I would give a comprehensive timeline of events and docs I submitted soon.
I have an urgent question though. Am I supposed to open the small sealed brown envelop that came with the medical form or I am supposed to deliver the envelop sealed to the clinic? Please respond Sirs&Mas

Dont open the sealed envelope take it like that to the doctor that will examine you, that happened to me during my time, i opened the sealed envelope before i met the doctor and she was a bit mad,but everything went well. Congratulations for your medical call up,you are already in canada.
Thanks a bunch on this

Noswaa: Are you going for postgraduate or undergraduate and how do you calculated the total fund available for your study
I added the Tuition fee + the cost of living (I worked with the estimate provided by the institution, House, food, books, entertainment, & others ) + Some mark-up (to cover at least my cost of transportation from Canada ). Na Masters oh

Noswaa: for those called for medicals, please application for study permit, must you fill it electronically or you can equally print and fill manually please
If you are referring to form IMM1294E, it must be filled electronically, bar code generated and all 5 pages printed (note, 5th page is the Generated Bar Code page, which you get after you click on the Validate btn).

Jasmine007: @Bumdish,,,, this is good news so i say congrats.. Did you track your application and whats the status, just wanna know if they updated it .. How did you get to know about your medical instruction?
Based on bamshy's advice I planned to call them only to check the portal and found Please contact the Visa Application Centre for further instructions , your attention is required at the earliest.. So I still called and was told to come for my Medical instruction. I didn't get any email notification on this.

People please help with my question
bumdish: Am I supposed to open the small sealed brown envelop that came with the medical form or I am supposed to deliver the envelop sealed to the clinic? Please respond ASAP

bamshy: I've got an advice for everyone with pending application with CDHC. Once you have completed your application forms and added complementing documents please try to submit at the VAC (Visa Application Centre). I support submission at the VAC because of the all-week access and ability to get information more readily. For those who have submitted more than 3 weeks, I suggest you make calls and also track your application. I submitted on March 20 and my Medical instruction was dated April 5. Yea, that fast! Unfortunately, I got to know 20 days after! In addition, I was given some conditions to fulfill by CDHC which i needed to meet before 30days! Hence, my advice. Submit at VAC for easy correspondence and start following up once your application is more than 2 weeks old. For medicals, remember you'll need about 5 passport photographs and like 28,000 naira. So, be prepared. Wish us all the best! My additional info was payment of all tuition upfront and letter from employer for PgD. Hope it helps.

Noswaa: Thank you
Let me also add that the statement would be generated as at a particular date and that date could be a date in the past, the closing balance should reflect the balance as at the date specified (it depends on the bank though, you can always inquiry from the bank). Meaning you can still have the 100M has the closing balance. At least that would give your soul some peace while you await your TRV.

Noswaa: @phemmmy,am running mad now,my sponsor have upto 100 million as at one week a go,because is a big company but on printing the statement today,it left only about a million,he was telling me that he used it to buy goods oversea that it doesnt matter, that the embassy is more about the flow of cash and the six months statement is about 30 pages, please what can i do
On this one, your sponsor is correct. A friend of mine who is now studying in Canada had only 2M balance in his statement printout at the time of application. He self sponsored but he had a wonderful transaction history. what they are interested in is your sponsors financial capability and his willingness to release funds to you when required. A/C balance is a pointer to all these but the a/c history definitely tells much more. The History shows the financial behaviour (Income sources, Expense avenues, Income cycles, Expense cycles, a/c turnover, transaction counts, transaction types, etc). You would see that the balance is just one of the far more many other things they are interested in. So in my opinion, you should bother about the history , not the balance.

@ All,

Please let us not turn the fruitful thread into a mud throwing party. If you are wise enough, you'l know that not all postings will be useful for you and definitely not every post will be 100% correct as it is characteristic of all public colloquium . Just make do with what you find useful instead of scrutinizing every info down to the spellings.

From the feedback gotten from Dennis cla, I don't have any reasons to discard his/her inputs 100% just like I would not take anything every other person has said like a fish so hungry it swallows the hook.

I thing we have done well so far, lets not chase anybody away.

dipo+:
U can apply either way but the VAC center allows you apply any working day while the CDHC only accepts applications in one specific day of the week. You will also have to include a return envelope if u apply at CDHC. I chose to apply at VAC and i think it aids fast correspondence as no courier bags are involved
Hi dipo+, just curious. When is your program starting. Trying to extrapolate if Sept applicant are been attended to already.

@ femi ... U sound too desperate. Pls go and get ur documents and apply yourself. Stop looking for agents. No agent can guarantee u visa. I got my medicals call up in 2 weeks and I didn't use agent. Just prepare ur applications well and put yourself in the position of the assessor and examine them. The rules are on the website written in English that we all know. I was talking about d hospital's available for medicals.
Hi dennis.cla, you said you got your medical call up in 2 weeks. That sound really interesting.

Pls when did you submit your application and when is your program starting?. Also, how were you contacted by VAC for the call up?

Fhemmmy: I laff in Agege Language . . . I guess i have been spending too much time on this thread . . . Time for me to move on to some other threads . . . . Peace
Igwe Fhemmmy, if the treat was meant to check you popularity, I want you to know you are popular and lots more people appreciate you than you think. Remember, this forum is about people at lives changing decision point, I wouldn't like you to take your impact likely."The Liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. And if the treat is real, Peace.
ProgrammingRe: Let's Learn Object Oriented PHP! by bumdish: 9:38am On Apr 05, 2012
timbs001: wink@bumdish, nah
The advantages of OOP PHP are too immense to ignore it.
You can't work with most PHP based CMS without understanding
OOP PHP, and also Zend framework.
PHP is fast becoming a full fledged Object oriented language
As of PHP 5.4. To ignore it is to remain outdated
And miss out the advantages and features.
Never regretted learning OOP PHP.
Happy PHPing cheesy

@ Pc_guru, u are right, one can get acquinted with OOP PHP
While working with PHP frameworks.
I will recommend Zend framework or DRupal CMS those are the
Ones I work with. wink
Hi tims001, you obviously didn't get my point. I didn't in any way ask anybody to ignore OOP, in fact, I think I qualify as a PHP/OOP Evangelist. I only advised not to bother doing classic PHP/OOP from ground up, you might end up building what I call pseudo-OOP "POOP"(procedural programming with pseudo-OO design) where you might never do things like Interfaces and stuffs. I guess PC-Guru reiterated this

I would advise the Framework path is worth the journey if PHP/OOP is on your agenda cos PHP in itself isnt constraining like its senior brothers.

CodeIgniter is my preference (I didnt say the best pls.). It is extremely simple to learn, can be set up simply by unzipping, very large community, gracefully documented, MVC/HMVC implementation, accepts your classic PHP functions and patterns, no command prompt wahala, wide DBMS support and like. A host of other frameworks exists, some with even better proposition, but this 1 soothes my soul. I ran away from Yii cos of the command prompt wahala.
ProgrammingRe: Let's Learn Object Oriented PHP! by bumdish: 7:48pm On Apr 04, 2012
Cool thought but I would advise you not to waste your time. Just pick up CodeIgniter (a simple elegant PHP Framework, and U can still do you classic PHP with the framework). I constraints you to OOP PHP without you even knowing. You would also enjoy the power of MVC all join. You can be up and running in 2days. Once again, I'l advise don't waste you precious time. Cheers

AutosRe: New Tires : Death Trap?. by bumdish: 5:08pm On Oct 10, 2011
Since i lost three of the four tyres that came with my brand new car in an accident, i have had to buy up to 6 new GT RADIAL tyres in less than 2 years for one reason or the other. The wear & tear rate has been alarming whereas I still use the Hankook Tyre that survive the accident till date. Not until recently did i meet a kind Igbo seller who pointed it to me that GT Radial wat tyres with "made in china" inscription are exactly wat they are; MADE IN CHINA.He showed me another GT Radial tyre with a Made in Indonesia inscription apparently with an higher price tag and presumed better quality. He advised me to go for particular brand "Double Star" which I bought. It is 2 weeks now and I can only hope time has good gist for me.

ProgrammingRe: Which Programming Language Holds Brighter Prospects In Nigeria by bumdish: 8:23am On Oct 06, 2009
@Beaf: That was a very sound analysis only that I would not completely agree with your php/mysql assertion. It isnt that bad. I work in an enterprise enviroment with .net, php & coldfusion developers; for me, PHP applications remains the most stable of all. A whole lot depends on the developers/administrators of this systems.

@TCDURU, I think your question is quite vargue. You might realy need to be specific and clear on what "brighter prospects" means to you. Do you mean Job Oppurtunity, Cost, Infrastructure, Market demand, Academic relevance etc, else this thread would leave you more confused.

Remain Good.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Do Stammerers Have A Good Chance In High Stake Job Interviews? by bumdish: 2:55pm On Aug 21, 2009
Picked interest i this topic. My financee kind of had this issue to contend with but after some peroid of mentoring/coaching, she overcomed that fear, treat & trauma associated with the Job seeking/Stammaring. She presently works for one of the best companies in Nigeria after having rejected more than 4 plum jobs in the Oil, Insurance , IT services & Manufacturing sectors.
My brother/Sister, all Good & perfect gift comes from God, the father of light.
1. You need to be clear prospect for your prospective employer. Make sure you establish that in ur interviews
2. You need to accept ur imperfection, no denial. But be quick in converting the imperfection into your winning point.
3. We all need God's grace & favor. Strenght & Might as failed and will continue to. Only God can save.
