Kelechi's Father is so greedy, he only cares about Money and not his son's career
Chairman, consult Google to clear your mistrust. The recency of the Pellegrini's statement and the other pieces of info I posted should be clear enough ..huh. Besides, I doubt if you know anything about the boy, the father or the "contract" beyond what exists on the pages of newspapers. And just to reiterate, the said father that is so greedy and f**ked in your words is the same person that has nurtured kelechi from age 0 to become a celebrated prodigy and all of a sudden you know what is good for the boy more than the father. My friend, have a good day.

SportsRe: Kelechi Iheanacho To Sign For Manchester City by bumdish:
The young lad has made the best choice. Man City is currently recruiting young talented players as part of their Elite Development Squad program which Patrick Vieira has been employed to manage.

Other players being recruited into this elite team includes:
Kjetil Haug (15) - Norway - Goalkeeper {likened to Peter Schmeichel}
Zacharias Faour (15) - Sweden - Forward {The new Zlatan Ibrahimovic}
Jose Pozo (17) - Spanish - Forward {rated as the best striker to come through Real Madrid’s academy in years}
Brahim Abdelkader (14) - Albania - Forward {Called the new messi}
Bruno Zuculini (20) - Argentina - Defensive midfielder{rated the best defensive midfielder in the Argentine Primera Division}

So, make una go sidon. Man City is investing £100m in Etihad Campus training complex for this lads. Nobody is throwing Kelechi into the first team right away.

We have to have a different style in the club and that is why I am here. It is impossible every year to buy three, four, five players. We need to work with young players, the under 21's - Pellegrini (August, 2013).

See a pix of the team they are currently fortifying:

PoliticsRe: Ex-president Obasanjo Paid A Surprise Visit To President Jonathan In Kenya by bumdish:
Okikiade: President Goodluck Jonathan and former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, had breakfast together in Nairobi, Kenya, on December 12, 2013, Thursday.
Both politicians were among other African leaders that graced the 50th Independence Anniversary celebration of Kenyaat the Safaricom Stadium in Kasarani, Nairobi, on Thursday, December 12.
Obasanjo's visit was said tohave taken everybody by surpriseas it contradicts the expected nature of the relationship between both men, owing to recent public criticisms of the President by Obasanjo.
The unexpected meeting held prior to the anniversary event, as the former president, Obasanjo, paid a surprise visit to President Jonathan at the Intercontinental Hotel, Nairobi, where they had a private breakfast together.
It would be recalled that Obasanjo had written a strong-worded letter, which went public earlier this week, accusing the President of performing below par and taking actions calculated at destroying the country.
Meanwhile, in his speech, at the event, President Jonathan called on all Kenyans to unite. According to him, there was no alternative to unity if Kenyans must move their nation forward. In building their nation, Jonathan told Kenyans that they must make unity their focal point.
He said that the destiny of Kenya lies with its people and as such, the people must strive hard to take their country to a greater height. President Jonathan said that he was happy that former Kenyan Prime Minister, Raila Odinga was present at the event and working with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"Nobody can love you more than Kenyans, so you all have to jointly develop your country. All Kenyans should come together to form an inclusive society.
"Since 2007, many African countries like Kenya have been celebrating 50 years of independence and freedom, our founding fathers talked of political freedom to be followed by economic freedom.
"The present generation of African leaders must work hard on science and technology as well as industrialisation, so that there could be economic development and freedom." President Jonathan stated.
Obasanjo was said to have sat quietly during the event and was making calls on his mobile phone at intervals while the event lasted. Source:naij.com

The bolded is crap. Have you forgotten that the social outcast called Abacha refused the Super Eagles a defence of their title in South Africa in a bid to slight the noble Madiba.

Read this and be educated
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was early 1996, and Nigeria's military government was becoming a global pariah.

The prominent Nigerian human rights activist Ken Saro Wiwa had been executed and among the most powerful voices condemning the regime of the military dictator General Sani Abacha was that of Nelson Mandela, the then president of South Africa.

The political relationship between Africa's most populous nation and its wealthiest had become alarmingly tense.

MANOSUB: You speak but foolishly and defeatedly. This is my first time of using harsh words on someone on NL. Whatever it is that is worth doing is worth doing well. Nigerians can not continously be subjected or enslaved in its own land by those who dont care in any way about welfare of the people. We have to stand up against them because this inhuman attitude cannot happen in their land.
You are a brother/sister, harsh words have no place...We can discuss without been rude.

"Our own land" mentality is why a loaf of bread goes for 1 Mlillon dollar in Zimbabwe. Now that is it your land, what have you done with it? Is the Chinese man your real enemy or some misplaced aggression. Try to get my point my friend.
CareerRe: Ill Treatment Of Staff At Huawei Technologies by bumdish:
Op, sorry about the pain, but I do not see anything that reflects differently from what many workers endure across so many industries and companies in this our obodo naija.

Is it the rate of hire and fire going-on on daily basis in the banking industry or the peanut 17,000 minimum wage government is paying? Go and check the last time many one-man businesses paid their employees or is it the N5,000 salary many private school owners dash their teachers in the name of salaries. Do you even know the extent of child slavery being perpetuated across homes in the guise of house-helps in this our very own Nigeria?

It is a joke to expect the Nigerian government to come to your aid when the government itself is unable to honor a simple agreement that has kept the lecturers at home for over 5 tortuous months. Bros, do you not need to ask about the faith of millions of pensioners or recently laid off PHCN staffs.

My brother, no need to throw tantrum, it wouldn't amount to much. Go to the balcony if you think the kitchen is too hot. This is not individualistic, it is common sense. How many of such outburst has yielded good fruits?

Tell me one company where there is no office politics and where people get paid for every extra hours they put in? Ask your banker friend the number of hours on his employment letter, the number of hours he works and how much they regularly credit his account with overtime.

I do not know anything about Mr. Francis Agbodike but I can tell you that you need far more than aptitude to get going at a place of work and besides, nothing can be more false than saying only Mr. Francis Agbodike achieved the single digit thingy you mentioned. He must have subordinates and superiors that worked with him. There must be a secretary and a driver in that office, someone must have updated his payroll figures. He didn't do it alone, everyone contributed.

Modification: To those who continue to miss my point.
Expecting that the quality of ethics the Asian man coming to build the Nissan factory or the European degrading your ecosystem in the Niger Delta with no regards to sanity click here to see or the winner-takes-it-all practices of your bank CEOs will be better than the dictates of conscience of your government and its ruling class is like barking up the wrong tree.

OP!!!!! The thinking behind your write-up is probably one of the reasons the project "failed".

What parameters did you apply in arriving at your conclusions?
When did the project start? How far has it gone?
Who or which office is in charge of the project?

Your review is lacking in both facts and figures and your adjudicated reasons seem like an indulgence in baseless imaginations.

Do your homework, read this article http://wiki.laptop.org/go/OLPC_Nigeria and flesh-up your write-up.

Even the design of the graduation thobe is from the muslims....

The roots are still there.

Just saw the full match again http://livefootballvideo.com/fullmatch/world/friendlies/italy-vs-nigeria

I must admit that the SE performance is highly commendable given the context of the match. I give super kudos to the back four. These are home tutored, Sand field playing, Nigeria road traveling, PHCN frustrating, Bribery and corruption embarrassed Nigerians (Oboabona inclusive, 'cos he just changed base recently). Expecting them to match a Barloteli, De Rossi, Parolo, Diamanti, Alessio Cerci, Giuseppe Rossi or Pirlo shoulder to shoulder is like scolding a Unilag 2nd year mechanical student for coming the same position with an MIT PhD student. Abegi, the 4 guys were wonderful and should both be commended and encouraged. Keshi should be praised for doing wonders with our local players, middle to low level European league based players and some players like Shola and Nsofor who most people had already written off.

Having said that, I believe Keshi now has two options:

1. Stick with these guys, continue to give them opportunities they could only have dreamt of and see what could be made out of them whether in 2014 or in the future
2. Tinker with the team, ask in more players to prove themselves. . . who knows

Whichever way keshi goes, I believe in him and his style. The opinion of a man who converted an almost disbanded squad into a trophy wining team should be respected

Benjamin Francis (Heartland), Solomon Kwambe {This bros should work on his recovery}(Sunshine Stars), Godfrey Oboabona (Rizespor/TUR), Azubuike Egwuekwe (Warri Wolves) - I salute you guys

SportsRe: Amazing Super Eagles Jersey created by Nairalander for BRAZIL 2014 by bumdish:
Great thoughts Jimmah however, you have to understand that reaching NFA and getting Adidas to accept your design is near impossible. Though I hate to use the work impossible but I couldn't find a more palatable word in this case. Adidas is multi-billion dollar company that can boost of the crème de la crème of sportswear designers. There is too much at stake here;Contract terms, Intellectual property, Company pride etc to even look at your design.

You are obviously skilled so I would advise you approach local clubs to start with, then you can think of growing upwards... Besides try to make your fonts look consistent and do something about the #7 on the last design, it looks like an overlay that is not part of the jersey. The "pattern designed by ......" doesn't look professional or consistent either.

Nice efforts.
Car TalkRe: Is It Better To Buy A Car Outright Or To Buy Using A Loan? by bumdish: 3:59pm On Nov 13, 2013
linearity: Your question pre-supposes that you already have the cash on hand and are in a dilemma whether to use it or get a loan.

The best option is to treat it as investment and see if you will be a least even at the end of the day...

First see what the loan will cost you in interest rate or APR....Also see how much it will cost you to get a personal on secured loan from the bank...if the situation currently in Nigeria is same as it is in developed countries, the interest on the car loan will be lower than the personal loan because the car acts as a security.....look at it this way..

Given the above, I will invest the money and take the loan....at the minimum your investment cash flow has a boost which is equal to the difference between the above two interest rates.

A good and effortless investment for that cash is to buy a land, put a fence around it and either sit on it or gradually start developing it.

While the land is an asset and will continue to appreciate in value, your car is a liability will continue to depreciate. If you hit a financial bump in the road tomorrow, you can turn around and sell the land, payoff the loan...and you will still have some change in your pocket plus you will have your car to either sell to make more money or keep...but had you bought the car outright, you will get less than 50% of the original value.
Bros, I no know say you don write something this sound, I for no need type my own. You said it all.
Car TalkRe: Is It Better To Buy A Car Outright Or To Buy Using A Loan? by bumdish: 3:53pm On Nov 13, 2013
ayo ade: My advice...avoid any kind of debt by all means. If you cant afford it, you dont deserve it yet. Earn enough to deserve the lifestyle you desire.
Bros, it depends.
Would you rather dump your 3 Million on a car today just because you have the cash sitting in your account rather than committing 2.5M on a landed property and augmenting the remaining 500K with a 2.5M bank loan which you can pay over time?

SportsRe: Nosa Igiebor Injured After Attack On Eagles In Ethiopia. Eagles Set New Record. by bumdish: 6:30pm On Oct 14, 2013
Okija_juju: Very wrong?!

Did you miss the part in the match where the Ethiopian Goalie threw the ball away so that they can go have a drink of water?!

Look the altitude and weather was a key tactical factor for the Ethiopians.

Thats why Keshi begged the Ethiopians to wet the pitch prior to the match, that they refused.

Go and rewatch that match.. Even Musa that is known for running up and down like a fowl, curtailed his runs until the last quarter of the game. The Ethiopians nay be good at atheletics, but if Football were solely about running in a straight line for hours, the Ethiopians would prolly be the highest throphy holders in World cup history.

I will agree with you that their performance was poor on the night in general, especially with our poor passing, defending, e.t.c, but the tactics to hit hard in the end was definitely there and obvious to see and thats what got us the win.

Notice that the Ethiopians that were so stylish in their passing in the first half could barely stop the Super Eagles in the dying minutes of the game?!

I am attributing it to tactics more than luck.
Indeed, you have seem to have a point but I would still insist that it was Emenike and his goal that broke Ethiopian's spirit and spiked the push for the eagles. It was almost a nostalgic feeling of the fumble and wumble days of Amodu Shaibu. Do you think the "tactics" would have worked if Ideye was to have played Emenike's role yesterday? In Amokachi's words "Ethiopia's play scared us in the first half..."

Ethiopian's abysmal finishes, the controversial goal Oboabona cleared behind the line and Emenike's individual doggedness were the factors that gave us the victory.
