pslm23: I haven't been to Nigeria in 4 years. it's sad that the last 2 times i went was to bury my dad and mom sad For my dad's burial i spent a total of 3 weeks...(the funeral lasted a whole 2 weeks!! haba! and the deceased family are required to be there at all times....! For my mom, i only spent 10 days in the East because i didn't have enough vacation and personal days left.
I would just love to visit and spend like 15 days not for funeral or wedding or naming ceremony, but just to hang out with my family and friends, drink tea from mai shayi, eat suya, eat mamput, eat correct home made bitterleaf soup, ukazi soup, beans and plantain, rice and stew, jellof rice, akara, moi moi, ijebu bread (and chew stone in the process smiley )......hmmmm! I'm seriously homesick oh! but by God's grace, Naija will feel my footprint come December! smiley
Travelling home can be fun but at the back of your mind you're also praying that armed robbers won't attack you, or you won't fall into the hands of trigger happy policement looking for "kola", or you won't have accident, or plane won't fall on your house while you're in it, or boko haram won't decide to visit your neighborhood or even that snake won't bite you, etc....
sorry for your lose.. anyway carefull with all this foods wey you mention say you want to it wen you go naija, i just come back from naija last easter all the akpu,ogiri,moimoi,akara,e.t.c wey i eat still dey purge my belle up till today grin grin grin grin grin grin

CelebritiesRe: Nigerian Celebrities And Red Carpet Dressing by BUSHMAN1: 6:43pm On Jun 12, 2012
Miss EZ: They said celebs, but not sure who half of these people are.

I think most of them would look nicer wearing styles sown with our beautiful traditional fabrics. for instance methinks Sasha's outfit was simple but still classy compared to some of the evening gowns these ladies are wearing. Fashion is such that adire and ankara can be used to even sew those styles. Another thing is these ladies need to learn to dress their body types. Just cos A wore something doesnt mean that B should wear it too

I have noticed a shift in what is considered beautiful in African setting. Unfortunately we are using the western ideal to judge our own African body which is an entirely different make up. Yes people should keep in shape and not be obese, but to insult someones appearance because they are curvy is just low. I think that if someone dresses appropriately for their body type then that person should be commended. After all we see much smaller people wearing stuff that does nothing to compliment their figures. Let us learn to respect and appreciate ourselves and our bodies, and stop imposing the ideals of other culture on our own.

dolwell@yahoo:
did I say anything about his opinion? I only expressed my opinion, I dnt see why it should be paining anyone.. Provided you feel you are not part of it. What I know is tht it is good to be rich. Poverty is not from God, I believe everyone on this forum likes to be rich, if you feel someone is getting his wealth tru deceiving pple, it is just ur opinion nothing more. You can't stop it, you can't do anything abt it. Men simply hate what they cannot conquer.
so your idea of accquiring wealth is by deceiving your fellow human beings,if you beleif that why have you not opened up your own church? after all its very easy to manipulate nigerians especially when you mention GOD,

bros why is it paining you now? Did they use your money to build it? Or is a university to big for God to build?
just because they didnt use his money to build it, does not mean he shouldnt have an opinion on it
PoliticsRe: Lagos Fills Roads With Crash Site Rubble by BUSHMAN1: 9:35am On Jun 09, 2012
alj harem: we are talking of rubbles from the crash, others are complaining about human remains, silly dumb sentimental mentality. Maybe we should bury the rubbles then, tell me the difference

Even worse some are thinking those people remains would be used for road construction. Of course if there is blood on the raod people would complain not to talk of human remains.

A better suggestion would be to use the rubbles to build a monument for the people that died as a form of remembrance.

Rubbles would serve us NO GOOD and certainly would erode away. What remains the the things we did due to the event that happened.

How the rubbles (without human remains) should even be a subject of discussion.
i suggest the only way you can get people to see what you are trying to say is maybe you should put up a post on here about investigation, why did it happen and solution to the plane crashes, thus more important
PoliticsRe: Lagos Fills Roads With Crash Site Rubble by BUSHMAN1: 4:50pm On Jun 08, 2012
i agree, i think the reason you are been misunderstood is because at moment we are commenting on the rubbles shanenegan which i also think is less rellevant than the prevention of future crashes because by prevention we wont have more rubbles next time
alj harem: That is my point, if we do not investigate, at least do policies to prevent such from happening.

3 days before the crash, a Nigerian airplane kill a lot of Ghanians as well

We forgot about that, is it not time to start asking why do Nigerian plans keep crashing ?
PoliticsRe: Lagos Fills Roads With Crash Site Rubble by BUSHMAN1: 4:39pm On Jun 08, 2012
alj harem: SMH maybe some of you would eat the rubbles

Instead of asking questions which is more of a pressing issue, you are talking about rubbles

Why did the plane crash

What can we do to prevent it from occurring next time

How do we honour the dead

These are the questions you all are meant to be asking, not rubbles
i can understand your point i am also in support of prevention, but since when? has any thing been investigated or inquired into in nigeria without corruption even this rubbles issue they will still do what they like regardless of what people think or say i dont think the GOVT cares, as long as it didnt happen to them
PoliticsRe: Lagos Fills Roads With Crash Site Rubble by BUSHMAN1: 4:32pm On Jun 08, 2012
good idea let him use it to fill his back yard, instead of puting innocent residence of the area at risk contamination
Beaf: What has Aso Rock got to do with Lagos states affairs? Take them to Fashola at Alausa. Afterall, it is Fashola 's people spreading the remains of the dead on Lagos state roads for people to drive on.

BusinessRe: Help A Friend To Invest 500 Thousand Naira. by BUSHMAN1: 12:20pm On Jun 04, 2012
yea! right! pay tax to help me? i dont think so, because the legislooters will steal all the taxes, were are all the taxes nigerians ve been paying for the last 50 years since independence?
Hoodrat: This is a perfect example why Nigeria refused to progress as a nation. Do you understand if you help a brother to go about starting the business you invested into will end up paying tax that will benefit nigeria? This is main reason why black nation fail for we are too self centered. What europeans wouldn't do if everyone see the world in your u and your folks perspective the computer you are using won't be available to you even if you are as rich as bill gate. Nigerians are the problem of nigeria.
