Prosecutors have said the Tate brothers recruited their victims by seducing them and falsely claiming to want a relationship or marriage.

If this kind of offence is taken very seriously in Nigeria, a majority of Nigerian men will be or would have been in prison grin... Nigerian men that can promise women anything just to hit the puna undecided

A breach of promise to marry is an actionable wrong under Nigerian Law... But the rather difficult complications involved in proving such case has made it a very undesirable path to pursue justice, as opposed to simply killing the man or using Ogun to swear for him while standing naked at a T-Junction grin

Sitting pretty here.

My own is that I was expecting emphasis to be more inthe use of CNG which is cheaper if price is the major concern but

CNG is cheaper but burns more.. Besides, it isn't yet as available as Petrol, LPG and diesel.

This is hopefully, a rejoinder and an avenue for constructive appraisals relating to a thread where a popular Kazeem on this forum advertised conversion of fuel generators to LPG/CNG for money savings.. And after I had read his savings mathematics as per that, whether it's worth it or not is a relatively grey area... At least for me.. Moreso that he did that LPG comparison with petrol, and left out diesel which considering the now narrowed price gap between the 3 fuels, is now back in the game.. Ehn, some of una go ask as op don do im own, why I no do the comparison of LPG/Diesel? grin.. In response to that, I am not the one marketing a fuel saver LPG generator add-on.. It's up to that marketer to explain how his add-on will also be more economical and safer (emphasis on safer) than a diesel gen of similar size... Abi diesel no be fuel too? grin

That being said, I read a lot of back and forth on that LPG Gen advert thread and most of its critics were shut down by an argument that if you could safely use gas cylinder/burner to cook in your house, then it's perfectly safe to use for Generators.. While at first sight, that retort seems a very logical explanation, it kinda crumbles on closer inspection... Then there was this other funny guy who said he keeps LPG in his house, but fears having a gallon of fuel in his house, thus LPG is safer than Petrol grin...

Now to the Petrol/LPG safety debate...money savings aside.. Na who dey alive dey save moni cool

There is a reason why petrol stations are drive-in while gas plants aren't....as in you can drive you car into a petro station, but for gas plants, at least the ones I know, one has to park outside and walk in with the cylinder for a refill.. There are even self-service petrol stations in some countries, but I am yet to see a self-service LPG station..LPG hasn't gained that kind of operational trust yet.

Vehicles have been known to crash and not burn even with full tanks of fuel.. Heck even fuel tankers tumble, spilling their contents on the road, but sometimes don't catch fire until external factors accidentally ignite it....Black marketers, some with lit cigarettes in their mouth, sell fuel in jerrycans all across this country with little or no consequence..

Your gas cylinder is inside your house connected to a burner whose functions are regulated solely by members of that household, and overtime, a safe pattern of public usage of gas to cook has been developed and generally understood.. Now even the most illiterate persons can safely operate a gas burner.. Yet, even with that extended and generally understood pattern of use, gas accidents still happen.. And are usually very fatal when they do..Gas, coupled with the high pressure under which they are stored in steel cylinders are a potential bomb (iron shrapnel from the steel cylinder included as freebies) , if even slightly mishandled.. Leaking petrol generators will mostly leak out the fuel from the fuel tap area and go off when all the fuel has leaked out, very rarely starting a fire..

To take it further, forgetting to close the petrol tap in a generator will at worst lead to flooding of its carburetor or fouling of its plugs, causing a hard start.. No generator will catch fire because its fuel tap was left on after switching it off.. But with this whole gas/carburettor generator concoction, what exactly happens if pesin forget to off d gas tap after gen is switched off?.. At least we know what happens when people forget to switch off their gas taps after cooking...Take it further, what happens if pesin leaves the fuel tap on while the gen is running on LPG?.. Will efritin now mix together and explode danu?

Another trouble with these generator gas contraptions is that it hasn't been extensively used in Nigeria for people to be very familiar with its workings... So there might be operational errors which might be fatal.. I saw some persons on that thread seeking operational clarifications... Carburetor say, carburetor no say... This one say, that one no say.. If the operational guidelines are still a bit grey for such a potentially incendiary device, can we with all fear of God say this thing is ready for public use when we know a basic operational mistake by a user can raze down an entire neighborhood?

Secondly, no one has ascertained what kind of fumes these gas powered generators produce, if they do, and the effect of these fumes on people, short-term and longterm. Gas cookers are virtually "fumeless", as far as we can tell at least... Or they produce fire which comes with its own fumes... At least we know that the fact that we can't perceive a fume doesn't mean it isn't there.. Odorless carbon emissions from generators have been known to wipe out entire families.. . But how safe, if any, are the emmisions from these fuel combustion generators which are now converted to gas use, and who certified them safe?..

Saying dem don dey use am for India, Pakistan, etc is just being smart by half .. These countries are more of a shithole than Nigeria... . Giving us instances of where these LPG carburetor generator contraptions are approved for public usage in any 1st world country will build more confidence in the product, rather than pointing to Asian shitholes who have a reputation for not valuing their own lives.

Instead of all this roundabout, pending when other people have used their own lives and that of their families to test the safety of this contraption, simply get a small diesel generator and use.. Its price-energy ratio is better than that of petrol and may be on par with this LPG thing if not more than it.... And it's far less incendiary than both LPG and Petrol usage.. Yeah, I am sure that while frenzying over petrol, una forget there are small generators that run on diesel...and there is little to no risk of your diesel generator burning down your street..

Opinions, both aligning and misaligning, are very much welcome.. Most especially those with vast technical knowledge on this issue.. And by this I particularly mean those in the oil and gas industry who have a working knowledge of how flammable or otherwise these substances can be...

It's as simple as doing the same research by asking questions, first from People who specialise in Atf oils and then Google on the internet!!

Is Toyota T1-TIV (dexron type iv ) compatible with Honda Accord V6 in the absence of Honda ATF dexron T-VI(dexron type 6)?

Simple! No man knows it all.

Coincidentally one of the first search outcomes from google on the compatibility of Toyota T1-TIV to the Honda ATF dexron TVI was even from this same Nairaland and then other foreign sources, complete with analysis.

As a matter of fact, in the event of slight ATF shortage, generic brands like Holt Dexron III or any dexron III type brand can be used temporarily to top up, gearboxes that use Dexron VI such as Honda accord V6!

Note only for top up in the event of a shortage, complete Oil flush demands you stick to the appropriate brand or type!!

But so far, based on my research Toyota T1 T-IV is definitely compatible with the Honda ATF dexron T-VI

Definitely if I was in lagos, I will highly recommend that anyone doing Transmission Oil change for this car should look out specifically for Honda ATF, but if you can't acquire Honda ATF in your locale, then Original Toyota T1 TIV (dexron type 4) is very okay and handles very well without problems!!

A simple inspection, test drive and scan is more than enough to prove it to be so....

As for the blood transfusion, a simple Google search (which I now sense you are allergic to doing) defines it as Xenotransfusion!

As a matter of fact, the International Xenotransfusion association (IXA) exists......

What bars the Xenotransfusion from Chimpanzees to Humans is ethics and will only be welcome under the most extreme scenarios and under the strictest biosafety conditions.....

Till date Xenotransfusions between cats and dogs as well as some birds and dogs happen every other day.....

N.B:- Whatever quarrel you have with Google and
google search, try and settle. No be them swear in tinubu biko.....

Since you haven't heard of the atf with the below pics, I agree you are right and I am wrong Sir..

The way you keep going about this, I tend to suspect that some of your researched 'xenotranfusion' has been done on you.. So this will be my last response to you, as I don't have the mental advantages of the 'xenotransfusion' that appears to have been done on you.

The right transmission oil to use for this vehicle is the Honda ATF ....unfortunately that Oil cannot be readily found anywhere in Uromi (where that car was left and parked before I moved it to benin, let alone in Benin City or anywhere in Edo state for that matter).

Which is why I used the Toyota‘s T1-IV atf (a type IV atf), which is very compatible with this particular car's gear box which uses a Dexron VI type atf. I do thorough research before I put anything into any car I drive....you should do the the same

So the research you did told you to put Toyota gear oil in a Honda?

If you get sick and need blood, don't fail to accept transfusion of Chimpanzee blood because they also look a bit human.

Considering the new proximity of diesel price to that of LPG and petrol, please someone else should help us analyse as well the consumption rate of diesel for power generation in relation to LPG.. At least I know as a fact that diesel burns far slower than petrol.

Because way I am looking at it, diesel might be more cost effective for power generation than LPG or petrol presently..and far safer than these LPG to petrol generator wahala...

4. Good spray would cost?
5. Overall is it a good car?

Fragile electronics.. The older it gets, the more the electrical gremlins... Peugeot over-engineering

Expensive parts for what's supposed to be an economy vehicle.

Can only mostly properly be fixed by Peugeot experts with appropriate scan tools, etc...

Not worth the supposed fuel saving flaunted... all these is my opinion of course.. I can't understand why anyone will want a vehicle which saves you a bit of fuel money, but takes it back and more in parts, cost of specialist repairs, and significantly higher fuel consumption if vehicle is put under any significant load..

It will likely be much worse with the scrap specimen you are about to put your money into... A bad engine means you can't fully ascertain the correct state of the car's electronics, gear, and suspension... These "buy and replace engine" cars hardly ever need only an engine to run fine..

No, no, don't do that. You would be setting yourself up for a catastrophe. Since you've paid for it already, then use it for a while and observe in real time how it's economy fares compared to your Pathfinder. If it's something you can put up with for the gain of raw power on the wheels, then keep it. Else sell it and get the V6 which should offer slightly better economy. But don't attempt to change that engine from the stock. The engines on the 4runner are a workhorse, so they should serve you well.

There is nothing "raw power" about the 235hp Forerunner V8 engine...

Benz transmission do not fail like that trashy Toyota ! I have driven Toyota and I talk from experience oga

Yes Benz have problems just like every other car but they aren't as bad as Toyota

For the past 10yrs I have been driving Benz it hasn't left me stranded at road, it will go home until you park and remove the keys them it will not move ... I don't know if it's a safety feature and another thing is that I will always drive a car that has timing chain not belt and I have CVT transmission

Personal choices ... Can you respect that please ?

You advised someone to focus on body and interior, downplaying engine/transmission, and totally not mentioning Electricals... It's not a "personal choice" when you mislead others by omitting critical information.. It's witchcraft.

As for the rest of your rant about Toyota, I don't even know how that relates to my comment...

So at the end of the day its only fuel consumption that is the drawback. My previous car was like that so i can always manage.I went to market with the mind to get a pathfinder jeep but when i saw the machine(4runner) it totally blew me off my feet.

If fuel consumption has never been a problem for you, why then did you creat this thread?
