Business / Re: E-Naira: Company Sues CBN For Trademark Infringement by Buzx: 8:04am On Sep 29, 2021

Now i have just found the golden comment i have been looking for.

Like, i don't get the nuisances being constituted by the private organisation, the NAIRA name absolutely belongs to the government.

Government suppose to even sue his ass for making money with government franchise without remitting any forms of royalty to the government.

Using your logic, government can sue Nairaland, too?

My question is, how is the e-naira generated?

It is minted. Like they just click a button and a new e-naira would be created. They'll probably do this at intervals and control each minting so has not to flood the system and cause more inflation.

That one na lie .. Nigerian govt willl never allow anonymous money

You can just onboard through the app. That's the KYC. It will probably require BVN tho. These days you don't even need to go to the bank to open an account.

CBN will never allow transparency. I even doubt that its building it on blockchain. CBN is high on bombast and low on delivery; and has a history of misappropriation of words to deceive the public

If that is so and it isn't a proper CBDC hosted on a blockchain, transparent and visible to the public, then I'm not interested! I'll use e-transfers and the likes. I don't see any difference.

It's on a block chain.
Your transactions are viewable on a public or not ledger. Also you can be automatically taxed, fined at the push of a button.
And if you misbehave FG can order your money deleted. wink

I doubt the government would allow transactions to be visible to the public. I'm very sure this will be restricted to them.

One is a crypto-currency, and an e-wallet...signed by a country. It is running blockchain.

It is safer, going to be faster...and without those big surcharges. Ever thought about dollar to Naira black markets too?

I am a freelancer and I feel it is nice.

The latter is a business from a private man...and merely a transfer protocol.

I am waiting to check its features, and interface before concluding tho.

cc: NaijaNaWaa, unbitchable

If the e-naira is going to be on the blockchain, can the transactions be transparent like every other blockchains. Can one just go to the e-naira blockchain and look at transactions being processed or it's just restricted to the government. What are your thoughts?

You're a clown if you moved from IPhone 8 plus to Redmi 9c and you want to get similar experience. It's illogical. You ditched iPhone for Xiaomi and you went for Xiaomi's lowest offering. Abeg your next iPhone, make sure you buy iPhone 5.

Raya care has been no good and it isn't even operated by Xiaomi. It's just the brand they choose to handle their aftersale service because they're still gaining ground in Nigeria.

Someone that is planning to come home soon. U kid always believed money making is easier there. I remembered in one of my trip over there, I saw one popular actor who used to act in mostly Yoruba movies, I don't need to tell you the kind of job is doing, honestly he was happy over there with the kind of decision he took having seen what the likes of Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola have achieved in the movies industry. The likes of Muyiwa Ademola, Okunu, Sanyer, Latin have their family children living legally in Canada but they never relocated permanent cos they know life over there is not easy. Muyiwa Ademola even have to make a movie titled "ILE" just to educate people that always believed life is greener over there. I'm done with you.

You keep calling everyone who doesn't agree with you a kid. Grandma, sorry o. I think that your friend should disassociate from you. It's obvious you're happy she's struggling. She'll be fine! She just needs to hang on a little longer. I will still say, tell me 10 stories of Nigerians suffering abroad and I'll tell you 100 success stories. I'm sure you tried and it didn't work for you, so you're just one of the failures and probably why you're so bitter.

There are educated, legal and hardworking within the citizens of America and outsiders that are finding life there difficult. Covid-19 even added to this difficulty. My friend is telling me what she passing through even though I wasn't surprised cos I've been there, you that is on nairaland that have never travel out want to justify her just because you have the same mentality of I MUST TRAVEL OUT.

In summary I am stopping you not to travel out.

Your friend is going to be okay! It takes time to adjust. You mentioned 200k. How much is 200k in Nigeria? And how many people earn this here? Your friend has made a very good decision to leave this country. If you tell me 10 stories of Nigerians suffering abroad, I'll tell you 100 success stories of Nigerians who has left this country. E no work for you no mean say e no go work for another person.

If you follow this thread this have been preached severally here.

NG tracking numbers are Speedaf. And before it gets to Nigeria can be tracked with cainaio website and Speedaf website when it get to Nigeria

Alright! Thanks, bro.

Nope. Nipost still handles a large bulk of deliveries for now.

Alright. So, is there a way to know if your package is with Nipost or speedaf? Or it's just to check their sites?
Technology Market / Re: This Thread Is Only For Aliexpress Shopper by Buzx: 9:17am On Sep 20, 2021
aminusodiq:
contact Speedaf, your package might stil be around and if not you might pay additional fee for the delivery. Ps- edit your contacts on AliExpress

It has stayed with them for more than 2week so it was returned. I've been using the normal aliexpress tracking so I couldn't get all the details. I'm watching this other package. I guess speedaf handles all aliexpress shipping for Nigeria? I'm asking so I could contact them when the next package is ready for dispatch.
Technology Market / Re: This Thread Is Only For Aliexpress Shopper by Buzx: 9:16am On Sep 20, 2021

You should go and edit your details and always confirm your address and phone number before placing an order.

Meanwhile find a way to contact Speedaf if the item haven't been returned.

If you had tracked the package you could have contacted the Dispatch driver when you didn't get a message.

Thanks. I just called them and was told the package has been returned. I recently got to know you could track through speedaf and it was from there I found out about 3 delivery attempts. I'll anticipate the next package. Like do this company do all delivery in Nigeria for Aliexpress?

Hey, guys. So, I just found out the number I entered on Ali express is incorrect and from tracking, I saw that my package is being processed for return because the dispatch rider couldn't contact me. I have another package incoming. How do I prevent this from being returned?

So what will the people use to purchase, is it with paper or with currency? Mr dumb, purchasing power is all about currency

It seems, you don't what you are talking about.

I am going ask you again, why is data cheaper in india than the United states?

At your question, purchasing power is not the only factor to check, they're other factors that determines the cost of data, with purchasing power being the dominant factor. Competition can also determine the cost of that.

What's the correlation between having less than 1000 people earning 5.2/month and being the poverty capital?
There are more millionaires in Nigeria than you think.

You still don't get what the guy is trying to say. Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world because "majority" of it's citizens live on less than a dollar per day. Yes, some Nigerians are rich, but the question is how many percent of Nigeria's 200M population are elites? Let's say 5% are elites ( I know it is lesser than this) and earn over 5.2M in a month, can you say most Nigerians are rich?

Poco na 200k na.. and it's a 256Gb ram device..
And from the reviews, it looks like it's worth every penny..

The madness is Tecno that is sold for 250k and above but can't beat my phone of 129k by a mile..

X3 pro is 130-135 for the 256gb version. You'll get the 128gb version for 125. I got mine 135k for the 256gb version. And I don't need to tell you it's a gaming beast.
