DonBobes: THE TRUE WOMAN [left]
This is a woman of essence and courage. Courage in the face of danger. Danger of allowing her husband depart to answer to the clarion call. Whatever the price or odd, he must depart for combat. Either precarious or not, good or bad. She must wait; endure without the love and affections of her husband. She must pray hard at home for the battle to be won by her husband with a celestial dexterity and his safe return. On the survivors' return he must appreciate her for the help she rendered either directly or indirectly during his darkest hours in combat. But if the battle is lost; the salt from his body added to that of the earth and the dust from his bones gone with the wind. She must take heart as it is of the nature of the job. She will now learn to live without him for the rest of her days, hoping to see him again in a place where there will be no mortar exploding, artillery guns smoking, where there will be no iron birds in the sky to release their enigmatic eggs. A place they will be to part no more.[\left] Nice piece |

Some wealthy men help the poor while others don't. Either ways, I can't blame them - the world is so evil.
Furthermore, this dude was so damn wealthy but he sponsored wars and stuff. It's better he kept his wealth to himself.
Look around you, we survived and doing quite well at that. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Why Is Qatar Next Target? by calberian: 7:59am On Jun 11, 2017 |
12Monkeys: Back in 2012, with crude rising higher than a Saudi prince on viagra and coke, the US economy began faltering towards bankruptcy and the green back began to take a major hit.
Chavez, Qaddafi then decided to take a serious look at joining BRIC with an intention of dumping the worthless US dollar.
Nigeria then quickly started considering BRIC by diverting crude earnings into other currencies notably, the Chinese Yuan.
US responds quickly by cutting crude imports from Nigeria opting to buy from Saudi Barbaria.
Nigeria responds by going east to open talks with India and notably China for crude swaps.
2014, Nigeria hosts the WEF with China dangling well over $60BN in FDI for African countries with Nigeria expected to gulp half of that in 50%!
Then Washington stages the massive psychops known today as BBOG to coincide with WEF.
Didnt deter china or Nigeria.
Obama decides on bringing out a regime change in Nigeria and succedes with a western stooge known as Buhari
Buhari heads to washington to get the much needed US bailout which will steer Nigeria back and permanently under the sub-servitude of Washington, Wall Street and the City of London.
Frustrated that he could not access the evil loan fast enough from Obama and the west, Buhari olodo will head on a globe trotting tour of the world begging for alms like the almajiri he has always been. Not getting anything from anyone, Buhari does the unthinkable and decides on a currency swap with China which has been stalled ever since he was given a toxic cocktail of Orange juice at the last G7 meeting. Now Old Soja rests his beleaguered battered old self in a hospice wondering how he got so sick. Valid a-z! |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Why Is Qatar Next Target? by calberian: 7:41am On Jun 11, 2017 |
Got me thinking:
"what will happen if Nigeria begins to steer towards these kinds of stats?"
"Maybe some people would rather die than for quality healthcare, water and electricity to be free and available to all"
"What if they all just die?"
"That'd be great but that's just wishful thinking. And besides, today is Sunday so you shouldn't wish death on people"
"When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices; when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy"
"Proverbs 11:10"
@Bridget95, who do you think invests more human, financial, diplomatic and technological resources in terrorism than the US? I don't know how old you are but, in 2003 the US ignored the UN (that they own) and invaded Iraq on grounds of the Asian country's position of being the largest sponsor of terrorism in the world. Some point after that, it was Libya. Some decades before these, it was the USSR. Today, it's Qatar. Ask yourself this question, what do these countries have in common? The answer should prompt you to hit the modify button in your post. |

CoolAmbience: Learning shouldn't be by compulsion.
If you say you were correct, so be it. Community is the same as LGA. Noted but I can't be involved in such kindergarten argument. You say community is the same as L.G.A. I opine that they could be but not necessarily all the time. When you haven't learnt, you could be likened to a blind person. In this case, if you try to correct another blind person, that's wrong. If you try to correct someone who's not blind, that's just foul. If you refuse to learn consciously, you might be compelled to learn unconsciously. Whatever you do, quit correcting anyone on stuff you're ignorant of. |

CoolAmbience: I guess the rush to spot the inadequacy in the report rather than xray the opportunities had the better of you.
The report named 3 catchment LGAs not three communities. Who's this ignoramus? I chose my words carefully. A community can be as large in land area and population as a local government. It could also smaller. |

Femi Adesina is campaigning for his bosses with respect to 2019.
He has written an essay to debate for the motion which says Nigerians should be grateful to his bosses. I opine differently but, I'm not on the debate panel.
I'd have pleaded for someone to put up an argument against the motion but that will be a waste of time.
The argument is on the streets. It's at the fuel pumps. It's on the dinner table. It's at the police station. It's inside the potholes and craters on our roads. It's in the 2015 campaign promises of the current junta. It's everywhere.
If these guys could postpone elections indefinitely, they would. But God pass them. Pardon me, I'm just tired. |

Cuntslayer: The policeman had to leave that location since his cover had been blown and you had four other guys with assault weapons that could easily outflank him. Anyway this tells us that policemen have to engage in battle simulation training on a regular basis. He'd taken one out. Another was outside the premises and out of sight. He pretty much had no plans of returning since he'd successfully waylaid the victim. The other two were about to alight from the vehicle, of which the driver seemed unarmed. In such instances it's very difficult to get things right because of the unplanned nature of things and the near and present risk of personal harm or even mortality. I'd have just felt better if maybe just one more of them was taken out. I couldn't agree more with your suggestion on training. The cop did very well though, even without our assumed regular training. |

kindredspirit: That's not true. There's an acquaintance of mine, a lady, who did her Msc in U.I who couldn't string together a complete sentence correctly. Her spelling ability was atrocious and I used to wonder how she coped and completed the Msc program.
If that lady could do it, despite her below-secondary school spelling and writing (dis)ability, then maybe anybody can pull it off too. One would have to believe your female acquaintance's claim first, and then believe your own claim but, the resources required to achieve such a feat could be put to better use like joining the group who are giving sound advice or learning from them. |
