* If you can't get a tazer, pepper spray should come in handy. * Date responsibly. * If you're single, make sure your private part isn't in a relationship |
Ko tie to ten pasenti gan! |
Even if you sell the waec office building plus all the materials and equipment and staff inside, you still won't get up to #800,000,000. |
bantudra:Do you have an idea in figures of how much is required to run the Nigerian economy annually? Do you know what sources of revenue are available to Nigeria? Do you know how much is provided by each of these revenue sources annually? When you sum up the figures obtained from the third question, do you know how much in figures is being used to operate the first question? And how much is wasted to embezzlement, misappropriation and profligacy? Of which the last three words are just the gentleman's way of saying stealing, thievery and robbery. Next, do you know what proportion of senior government officials that pay tax? Do you think that it is possible to allude apathy towards paying tax to fiscal irresponsibility and poor corporate governance and sheer neglect of basic duties by the government? The typical Nigerian family has been amusingly described as a local government on its own. The above could be attributed to the following: 1. You pay tax but you must provide your own security company by means of erecting high fences, house gates, street gates and providing street security men and home security men or man depending on how much you have available for it. And when you call the police, they usually come an hour later to arrest you whole household after the culprits have all escaped. 2. You pay your tax but you're your own water corporation by means of depending on privately drilled borehole water systems and wells at home and at work. 3. You pay your tax but you're your own power company. I don't need to elaborate on this. 4. You pay your tax but public education system is now a sham. In fact, it's now either a sign of abject poverty or some sort of abuse to send one's children to public primary schools (which aren't free as compared to the last couple of decades) 5. You pay your tax but you're at the mercy of landlords for accommodation as the government no longer provides affordable housing if at all anymore. 6. You pay your tax but you can't get quality healthcare. The government refuses to procure basic healthcare. The government blatantly and shamelessly patronises foreign medical services right in the face of the Nigerian Medical Association. And the shamed doctors and dying patients are expected to religiously pay more taxes. The Bible admonishes that you would be given even more to manage if you're found worthy in managing little. 7. I think the most painful part of the corollaries of the current system being operated by the Nigerian government is the fact that there's absolutely no plan for public welfare. Tax or no tax. In matters like this it's either the change starts from the top down or from the bottom up and, in the case of the latter, there'll be anarchy. If a peaceful change is impossible, a violent one will become inevitable. Leave tax alone because, it's an insult to us who still pay regardless and an affront to the others. Focus on whoever paid you to post this. Ask them to do their damn jobs. |
Mr. Bantudra, I want to ask |
bantudra:Government leaders should declare their assets. They should show evidence of taxes they have paid in the last 10yrs. They should show evidence that they and their family members patronise Nigerian health and educational institutions. My company is tax compliant. Furthermore, I am tax compliant. When the above requests are fulfilled, I will provide evidence should you need any. |
This is just sad |
The one that we have paid already nko, what has been done with it? |
This post had better get expunged, or else! |
Electricity |
Tellem bro. Tellem The demand far outstrips the supply so the government should invest heavily in affordable housing just like Alhaji Lateef Jakande did in the days of old. |
11. A bunch of nincompoops on nairaland post ethnotribal hate comments and label them with "NCAN" |
The bible didn't necessarily need to report every single thing that God created. When a job description is being outlined, only the pertinent matters are put down. Follow the international space station and NASA on IG to see their latest advances in exploration and you'll easily reach these conclusions 1. Earth is by far the most complex and important planet in the solar system. 2. Earth is the only planet that has all the complex conditions (temperature, pressure, humidity, light, vegetation and gravity to mention a few) in just the most adequate amounts necessary for the unaided proliferation of human life. With reference to John 3:16, if God really loves the earth and its inhabitants the way the passage explains, and if the two points above are valid, it would seem logical that that the planet that is home to human beings would be a suitable point of reference when the world is being referred to. |
AutoReportNG:Recall. In naija? Maybe we should allow them to be producing first. Those countries assist the companies in many ways so that the company is shielded from the economic effect of such exercises and consumers are safe. Nigeria will first-of-all, fine the company 2bn. Nigerian social media forums will infect the goodwill that the company had enjoyed in the past with their toxins. And the beat will go on. May the good lord make me (and all else) a better person because, sometimes, I'm complicit. |
bigtt76:Pretty much. I like the fact that, from one administration to the next, Lagos governments have specific foci backed by political will and execution. My prayer is that they expand the scope to accommodate other pertinent matters. And more states follow suit although it's not only Lagos state government that currently operates this way. |
Behankey:Now, I know it's true that some people listen to understand while others listen to respond. I was at the Tecno office at Opebi Road yesterday (Saturday, July 1). The experience was a sham. I refuse to grant your response more attention than it deserves. |
What criteria is this assessment based on? Who made the assessment? Anyways, what's my own? At a time when people are suffering in his state, he's spending NGN3.7bn on one house and his people are proud of him. |
Tecno may be treating its fans right but its customers, the ones who pay the money it uses in treating the fans right, are being treated like second grade humans. |
Uber kewl! |
It doesn't mean they never argued or disagreed. It's even possible that, at least once, one person decided just up and leave. But, that's where the manifestation of love and the right kind of company (spiritual, friends, business and family) comes into play. I'm encouraged this afternoon. Worthy of emulation. May God bless us with more of this kind of story in and around our lives and continue to bless the Nwagwus. |
We have heard. The Buhari administration is the best thing that happened to mankind after sliced bread. They should allow automobile imports via land borders abeg. I know three things: (1) One cannot pin a man to the ground without first pinning himself to the ground. (2) One cannot shake a tree without shaking himself in the process. (3) Ultimately, good triumphs over evil |
Anyways, I can't raise children in this country. There'll be absolutely no moral icons to look up to except their parents. |
LRU sha, dem don run reach there ![]() |

excanny:They way this seems, it's clear you must have done a lot of repeating in school. I'll try to accede to your request. |
