Anambra state elections is a focal point in Nigeria's political future. Along side other pre-2015 elections it may foretell the outcome of the next electoral showdown in Africa's most populous country.The new party is currently being baby sitted and it'll only take the firm hands of a former PDP member to steer the wheels properly (Ngige). Ngige in APC is till same Ngige when he was in PDP! Nothing changed. Same ideologies, philosophy, positives and negatives. APC's simply a conglomeration of loosers eager to oust the incumbent. Their manifesto is pretty much whacked and lack lustre, nothing to impress on the learned mind. Congratulations Ngige, but Anambrarians shldnt expect anything new!

Internal wrangling for the APC presidential ticket is on already, Mr Akande cannot deceive us! Choosing Buhari or failing to do so could seal APC's doom. Let us be honest with oursleves, this Alliance is a fragile one. I foresee hurricane utor sweeping APC to oblivion and complete non existence! When we recall the demise of APC, we must not forget the cause: A blend of Buhari's popularity in the north and his selfishness!

Democracy could embrace sentiments as much as it loves competence. It is never a function of academic qualification, age, gender or race, rather its about the people, their perception of what is right and how they want the game played! Mugabe played d game better, no matter how old and paralytic he is, he is still very potent in the electoral field. Nigerian opposition should realise that sentiments in our country is deep-rooted and desist from making reckeless unguarded statements if they really desire to unseat the PDP. Once upon a time I rained abuses on state governors and held them solely resposible for the escape of perpetrators of such acts of terror till I became wiser! The Governor acting as chief security officer is merely ceremonial, he cannot command any security outfit, he only reports to the president. The president is the commander in chief of the armed forces and till he begins to ensure that every human life lost on Nigerian soil via acts of violence is thoroughly accounted for by all relevant security outfits this will never end! I desperately wanted state policing to be effected but someone wants monopoly of control, someone has been corrupted absolutely by absolute power and wouldn't let dat happen. That person should therefore be held resposible directly! GEJ answer for yourself!

Its one thing you can't take away from the PDP; their ability to break ranks, put away sentiments at the nick of time in order to crush a common enemy. Now every rifraff has a handset and buys atleast a hundred naira recharge card per week, nearly every civil servant can save up for a car if they wish, many more can afford a fair formal education, there are fewer beggars on the streets now, a couple more nigerians can get a sip as the national wealth trickles down. Saying we were better off in 1996 implies we fared better under d military which is wrong! We are yet to attain d heights we desire as Nigeria but we've gone past 1996!!!

For Buhari the presidential race is a quest to regain lost ego and to get back at naysayyers and political enemies. Whenever a person gets this emotional about an issues, the brain ceases to function. Thoroughly and irreversibly blackmailed as an islamic extremist with a horrifying agenda for christians and as one who would nail the small but mighty elite class for alleged corruption over the years, there's not much hope for Buhari's candidacy. If only he would give hid to reason and endorse the candidacy of another vibrant, clean and visionary person irrespective of ethnicity, PDP will be up for a fight of their life! Buhari's popularity in the north is undeniably immense but gravely insufficient to win him elections! Nigeria's democracy needs a strong opposition to grow, I'm praying for APC
