LISTEN, what anybody decides to do or not do in any particular case is not what we are debating. What we are debating is what is ON THE BOOKS as age of consent. Show the below to any person with the slightest idea about law, see if there is any possible way it can be twisted to mean AoC is 11.

The liability upon conviction clause in sections 7(3) and 7(4) gave rooms of escape to accused persons. One of the rooms is consent. There are many others.

Only section 7(2) was categorical. All that needs to happen is the act and the accused will be sentenced to life imprisonment except the judge decides to temper justice with mercy.

Of course, where there is no conviction, there is no liability! In sections 7(3) and 7(4), there will only be conviction if there was no consent.

But in section 7(2), the conviction is assured irrespective of whether there is consent or not. All that has to happen is the act. That's it!
