Actually you need to disclose it. If you do not, I think the blood test will probably give them an indication she is on some form of medication.

Then, you can be thrown out on the basis of misrepresentation. However, I do not think the condition is enough to disqualify you. it is more common than you think, it goes away soon enough, it is not a terminal sickness, she's of no risk to the public, it is not a communicable disease, her vital organs are still intact etc. I don't think you have anything to be worried about.

Lmao @ the bolded. Anyway na because you write you "think" so make I no yab you. grin

But it won't show up if you're not looking for it. It's like saying they test the blood for alcohol to know if one is a drunk. That is not their concern. They're testing for STIs, HIV, and blood type. Not whether you sniff cocaine or do meth.

Good day house, I will like to get your opinion about my current situation...

I have pass my IELTS since last month but was unable to create my profile because I was unaware my BSc has to be verified by WES. Meanwhile, my PGD had already been verified since last year so I have to now wait for WES on my MSc verification.

My questions:
Is it advisable to get all my documents ready i.e reference letter, once I create my profile?
My spouse did her MSc in the UK, what is the process of getting a police certificate, is there a way we can get an express Police certificate? Yes she has a friend that currently lives in the city where she studied.
Lastly, I will like to submit my application latest 2 weeks after I receive ITA (by God`s grace), what should be my concerns? POF has been ready since last year.

Thanks

You need to do yourself a big favor by visiting the CIC website and read the requirements for Express Entry/Applying for Permanent residency. These questions you asked means you'll muddle things up as you get on. Please go and read up on the website including PCCs so you know what you're doing, and not come back asking more questions.

Ijiji now that I have noticed you, congratulations!

Is it that you didn't notice I mentioned NYSC or you were too daft to think it's an acronym for some multinational? How could you be oblivious of the fact that some people are not even paid at their PPA during service year? Some of these people have other basic amenities provided for by their PPA including mattresses and other off-record assistances- with value more than the expected stipend. Did you sign any employment letter with your PPA stating your monthly SALARY?

Did I ever mention that the federal government allowance was not paid? Recently, Abia State Polytechnic Staff (people that are on conventional employment by the State) are on strike for unpaid salaries of 11 months. So, they should burn down the polytechnic, abi? The question can go on and on, but I'm pretty sure your low RAM cannot processes them at the pace they come.

I'm a typical Nigerian, no doubt. But again I ask you: Is it your "typical"? Or is it your "Nigeria"?

As to your prayers to the man, may someone else rain curses on your behind too even when truly you're insolvent and couldn't meet up with your financial liabilities.

P.S: I wanted to ignore you when I saw it's coming from you, but your "notice me" is too much. You actually need to be tamed to see if you can be domesticated. B.S!!!

So in your mind you have tamed me? Nigga please! Everyone and their mother wants to shine on top Canadianfly's head. Get in line.

And you're the daft one. You wrote stipend from NYSC, assuming I didn't see that, is your daftness in play. So because not all PPA pay corpers makes what the man did right? Is your behind for real
So you rather the workers being owed by the State government go home quietly like you did when you were denied your stipend? No one is saying they should burn down any place, but you had the dirty nerve to write and project that you got your reference letter because you were the "nice one" that didn't talk to the man. That my friend is sentimental BS! And if that's how you see life, may your right be withheld in future. And please be nice about it, because you never know when you'll need them again. Anu ohia.

Hello House!
Happy to be chatting here, finally.
I have been reading all: part 1-3. Thank you all for the world of info out here. Please people just read, then there will be less questions to ask :-)

My IELTS came out successful. Now I want to create the EE profile. My question is: I have a sister in Canada. She's got PR. But we are estranged (yeah, family issues, sh*t happens). So I WILL NOT BE CLAIMING POINTS FROM HER.

At the beginning of the form where it asks do you have sister, aunt, uncle in Canada? Will I have lied already if I ticked NO?
Or do I tick YES?
But when asked to show her PR card number to get 15 points, I simply decline? (As I stated, I will not be needing those 15 points).

Hopefully someone will put me through on which part to tick what. I do not want to mess it up by ticking one and the other would be what I should have done.

Thanks all.

PS: @Newmum ayam coming for u :-) NOC Queen.

Why did you quote me To get attention?

Exactly! I remember when I finished NYSC. After the POP, the school proprietor was owing us about 3 months stipend. Some corp members did the unthinkable and were abusive towards the man when he said he couldn't pay then because he was insolvent. However, I kept my cool and advised others to follow suit because obviously the man was struggling as a startup entrepreneur.

Fast-forward to earlier this year, I called him to request for reference letter (by the way, who knew I would ever have need for him). He remembered those days and said he will help me anyway he can and asked me to draft the letter the way I want it and send to him to go through it and adopt on their letter head.

#NeverSayNever

This is some major BS. You give your time to work and in the end you don't get paid because your employer is starting up, then you're expected to understand.? BS!!!

You are a typical Nigerian. That is why we are where we are today. Because he gave you letter doesn't make the others that came for him wrong. Do you know if they had sick mothers they needed to take to the hospital with that their unpaid salary?? Wtf? Infact eh, this your post is very much what is wrong with us as a nation. Terrible infrastructure and economy but because we want to be nice and respect our elders, we are smiling and keeping quiet like Emmasonic4me. In fact he should be giving out reference letters as compensation for denying people of their livelihood, if not the curses they rained on his behind must come to pass! angry

Yes thank you.. We already communicating via DM.. By the way thank you for your awesome tips on ielts listening. I did a search on tips mentioned on the thread and yours stood out. Do you have anymore tips for maps and diagrams apart from tracing with a pencil?

Tracìng with pencil is the best way to do maps. For diagrams, depends on what diagram it is. A diagram like the Biogas plant (don't know if you've come across the practice test on mini ielts website) requires full attention because the audio is being descriptive so you have to follow quickly to get each part being described. A good way is to study the diagram quickly in the few minutes you're given before you start that section. Hope this makes sense?

Hello house, good afternoon to you all. I booked for my IELTS with IDP today but I have a question:
1. I registered multiple times before payment and in these times, I gave the wrong passport number and I did not upload the scanned copy of my international passport. My issue is that I tried to log in and these usernames are still lodged in their databaSe. I have registered the right one and uploaded my passport with all the right details. I was given a new username and this is what I used in sending my proof of payment to their mail. I HOPE I DID THE RIGHT THING BY INCLUDING THE RIGHT USERNAME ALONGSIDE MY PROOF OF PAYMENT? I tried calling their lines but it was busy.

Go and write this test already so we can hear. Everyday you have a question about ielts registration or how to get there. Over 2 months you have been disturbing us angry grin

Ok. Look at what i have written. I don't know if it is right.

My Address
CIC Address

Dear Visa Officer,
Letter of Authorization for the Use of My Account
I, (My Name) the accompany spouse to (Her Name) wish to state that I have given her the full authority to use the funds in my account (Acc Name and Number) as our settlement funds in Canada. The funds will be available to her whenever and wherever it is needed all through the process.

Yours faithfully,
Signature
My Name and date

I don't think there's anything else to add. Only thing I would change is the title. Rather than say Authorization for the use of account, I think saying "access to funds in my account" is better.
Then in the body should be something like " has full access to the funds in my account number xxxxxx, for the purpose of migration for our family......blah blah blah"
Does this make any sense?

Please guys, i have some couple of questions make una no vex

1. I want my spouse (PA) to use my account for POF. Sending POF to her account will not make sense due to some reasons.I think using my account is better. Please i need a sample of the letter of authorization for her to use my account. I have drafted something but i feel i didnt capture it well. Please can someone help me with a sample?

2. She has the experience in the required NOC but her company is a small one man company with no web presence and customized email address. I wonder how CIC will confirm the reference letter. Is it better to notarize any reference letter they give her? Will it make things easier?

See answers below:

1) would be better if you share what you drafted and we can help you 'flesh it up' (in the words of Newmum0615)

2) Wifey doesn't have to be working at an MNc before her reference letter is valid. She should get her reference letter, then add any proof of employment she has. E.g. Pay stubs, bank statement showing salary payment or employment letter. Anything related to the work she can find is fine.

@Ysteph Firstly, I quite agreed with most of your points and the necessities to reduce the repetitive questions as well as encourage people to read themselves. I didnt attack anyone and my post was just solemnly base on my general view. I wont drag any names into this but we all know people who goes above and beyond to help people adjust and interpret their roles. In addition it took 2 or more pages for one of our gurus to explained to people about claiming point for work experience while studying. i doff my hat for them and others, they respond or waka pass. i do believe in self reading and research as much as anyone here. There are better way to politely refer people to page0 and i have seen people helping others with a link. lastly, i don't understand what u meant by "she is teaching us to learn the hard way" who are these people she is teaching the hard way?

Well, everyone will be happy at the end of the day but remember no one will ever forget how u make them feel.

What da heck are the bolded words? No sarcasm, this na honest question

And as for feelings, bros go to ya girlfriend if you want to feel good. I don't come online looking for total strangers to make me feel good. Funny thing is, I don't even refer people to page zero, I ignore. I only respond to DUMB questions like "how do I register for IELTS" or which bank can I make payment from? grin

Good day all,

I got a very dissappointing result for my ielts. This is my third attempt and i really prepared for the exam but to my dissapointment the result is worse than the previous ones.

I had Listening 7
Reading 6.5
writing 6.0
speaking 6.5

i have wept my eyes out. Please i think something is definitely wrong because i studied hard for this exam. i used the jays youtube session, studied with ielts buddy and ieltsliz. i am thinking of applying for remark. kindly advise if it is really worth. what is the cost and process. thank you.

Well I never do this, and I'm not the mushy type but somehow this your post got to me.
