To be honest, I know that 3 points makes a difference for your CRS but I honestly won't bother. I believe you'll get ITA with 427. It might be later in the year, but it'll happen. Seyitorl2: Pele. But don't be sad, coz even if you get 9999 you would still need PNP coz of age and no spouse IELTS. Just see it as you've gotten the basic requirement to pursue PR which is a language test. You'll be fine. Look into other provinces not just Ontario. All the Indians are headed there already 3 Likes 1 Share |

CanadianNurse: Lol Well try by registering with agencies. Try Pinnacle on Graham ave. they are usually quick in helping students from what I've seen, compared to other agencies. Don't just register with them and disappear, hound your rep by calling them every week and reminding them you are still out of work. They'll find you something. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

ysteph: You see this God in heaven? He doesn't disappoint His people. He knows I'm going to need a brand new FBI PCC as I'm due to be in the U.S soon, and I was worrying about having to wait another 15 weeks for a new PCC since the one I have now will be invalid. But Jehovah had other plans for me My husband would love this news. Oga almost canceled the trip because of PCC. Best news yet. 6 Likes |

gbemiigbal: You mean you're a project assistant? Then you don't manage the projects, you ASSIST the Project Manager who writes proposals, deals with grants, work plans and budget for the project. Make sure your reference letter tallies at least 70% with the NOC you're selecting. |

School admission is not the same thing as applying for TRV and Study permit. Two different people deal with them. School admission and acceptance - the school has approved your intent to be their student, either as an international student or local student. When you register for your classes/credits and your tuition is calculated, then one changes their status to PR with the school. Note: some schools won't allow you be enrolled or might ask you to wait for next session. They have slots for international students and slots for local student. My advise to anyone is to make sure he/she can change their status. I have friends who the school no gree them pay local student fee after becoming PR until their program was completed because they took the slot for international student and local student slot was full. TRV and study permit - you apply to IRCC for visa using your school admission letter. IRCC can deny ones application based on PR application. Make we no dey confuse ourselves. 1 Like |

DrDauda: I aced IELTS though using Australian study materials not British ones. You should look for E2 Language and listen to Jay on YouTube. If you are referring to cost, well I promise you the cost you'll pay for IELTS is cheaper and easier than going through PNP. So give it another shot. And your wife can take hers in Nigeria, then una go add am for your profile. Doesn't matter where she dey. 2 Likes |

Ofifi: If I understand you correctly, you are try to do the FBI PCC from Nigeria? To answer your questions: 1) The money order that they accept is usually done in the U.S at the post office or gas station. You are better off filling your card information on the Credit card form, and they'll charge it when they're ready to process your application. 2) I used DHL to send mine. I was sending for hubby and my self so I got two envelopes and sealed our forms separately then put the two envelopes in one DHL Envelope to save cost. So I sent two applications with one DHL transaction. FedEx I found was terrible service. 3) We did our fingerprinting ourselves. Hubby did mine, by holding my fingers and doing it correctly using an ink pad not pen oh, and I did his too. I should also tell you that we sent 6 sets of fingerprint cards each. So 12 in total. I took a cue from bbaby84's experience and advise not to send 1 set, in case they can't lift all the prints properly, they can have 5 more to try I should also advise that when you print the fingerprint card, you should print it on hard paper, like cardboard not regular printing sheets. In fact read the FBI website and follow their advise to the T. 1 Like |

DrDauda: Na you be the problem sir, not wifey. You need to get a minimum of 8 in Listening to get above 400 in your CRS. To maximize your score, you should retake IELTS and aim for at least: L - 8.5 R - 8 W - 7.5 S - 7.5 This will give you 128 points for Language skills and increase your skill transferability. 3 Likes |

I don't think there's a right or wrong answer....I think it's subjective and heavily depends on the VO. However from the snapshot of CIC rules on TB etc, it would take an extra wicked VO to deny him based on this. |

Just amazed how someone will click on a thread and see 200+ pages, and have balls to post on the last page asking for "urgent help". Like what did you think is being discussed in the last 200 pages you passed to post on the last page? I usually read at least 10 pages into a thread I meet to see what's up. To see if the conversation interests me, or if I'll find answer to what I need. It takes massive balls to just stroll in and ask a redundant question. Oh well. Ps: Elfman don go. Either dey ban am or he deleted his account. 2 Likes |

Talkingboy: Lol he was even nice to you. I would have posted worse. He didn't say anything wrong to you or claim to know it. He simply advised you to research yourself before running to ask questions. Then he addressed intending question askers. You are the typical Nigerian. Ready to fight but can't channel that energy to research and finding things out for yourself. 24 Likes |

honey86: So not Friday's for you? Oh ok. Yea my point was I have never seen the term bi-monthly in employment agreement. They usually tell you bi weekly. So I wondered where he got the bi monthly from. |
Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by Canadianfly: 11:49am On Feb 05, 2018 |
AZeD1: The friend with 15th and 30th payment is bi-weekly. There are two weeks apart, however you look at it. Except there's a month has 40 days it it but it's 14-15 days payment. The letter usually says: Salaries are paid bi weekly on the 15th and 30th of every month. Monthly payment is common too, especially with non North American companies. However bi weekly is more what you see than weekly or monthly. |

AZeD1: All my Canadian employment letters have the term bi-weekly on them. Could do you a snapshot, but I risk disclosing the organization coz of the paper used. I have never come across an employment agreement with "bi-monthly" written on the contract. Not that it doesn't exist, but to the best of my knowledge, you'll be usually told bi-weekly. Because payroll is processed EVERY TWO WEEKS, every other Friday not twice in a month. 1 Like |

AZeD1: Says who? That is the best time to use it, as an adverb. Regardless of whether a month has 5 weeks or 10 weeks in it, biweekly payment would be made every two weeks. |
Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by Canadianfly: 11:22am On Feb 05, 2018 |
AZeD1: That's wonderful. Bimonthly is usually used to mean every two months. But I see it also means every two weeks, like biweekly. Any which ways, you're saying the same thing. Getting paid every two weeks. An event of getting paid weekly that is every Friday, is usually if contracted under an agency like Ranstad etc. But direct employment under an organization would most likely be biweekly. Every two weeks. |
Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by Canadianfly: 11:11am On Feb 05, 2018 |
AZeD1: Twice a month = biweekly. Bimonthly = every two months/every 8 weeks. Which is impossible. English na the problem here. 1 Like |
