Expecting Jose to change at this stage of his career is akin to folly. Let him fail at winning us the title before we have a go at him. . For them it's very ok to destroy mourinho with fallacies and myths, but once you praise him, you are supporting anti-football and should keep quiet immediately |

Or you think you're the only one who knows José is currently the most successful manager in the game? Smh. Your moniker says it all. He is the most successful manager in the game, how is that your problem, and I can type anywhere in the cyberspace any number of times I want, but my surprise is how that is your concern. So dayo posting an image of. Mourinho not winning his away games is unknown to everybody and one will need the almighty formula to decipher it. When using Stat to prove KDB is better hazard, same will be used for Lamp and Iniesta. By the way, Hazard is out scoring KDB in their national team. Na true, whenever the stat thing favour them, they will be throwing it around, but when it's not in their favour, they shove it aside |

hoopLA: unfortunately those crucifying Jose for yesterday are acting deaf, dumb and mute to this fact.
I clearly remember, seasons 2004/05 and parts of 2005/06 where United were playing arrant nonsense. Even in the League Cup.
But no one wants to touch Fergie, because they can only remember one game he "parked the bus", and it was against Almighty Barcelona.
I'm sure these same fans enjoyed City pummeling us 6-1 when we were still bombing forward, even with a man down. All na performance. The 5 goal swing eventually did us in at the end of the season. Such a mistake from a manager of Fergie's caliber and experience
Fair or unfair, the defensive nature of his tactics have tended to be a microcosm of Jose's tactical outlook and as such he is easy fodder for bashing. Jose deserves the criticism he gets for being negative at times, but I still don't get the panic stations folks are running to under these circumstances. During those Seasons, my younger brother who was also a UNITED fan, quit watching our games, he was very angry our performances, TBH honest those Seasons were dark ages, even the 2003/2004 Season that ended with our FA cup win against Tim Cahill inspired milwall was not even good, a lot dross served up. I don't blame him though. When Ronaldo and Rooney took over the league few Seasons later, everybody was happy. Fergie too, has useless Seasons too. |

joeace2020: BLESS YOU! We know how to overflog issues unnecessarily here. Anyway knowing Jose Mourinho and someone who has countlessly said he leaves clubs (or maybe forced out) when there is nothing interesting him anymore he won't be building any 20 years dynasty here, not in this era... At Chelsea it was the players, the owner.. At United its the fans looking for Barcelonaesque football, the legends and the press who can't stay off writing some nasty stuff about United and how we play so they can sell.
All in all, who could we be looking at to start grooming now before he leaves? I am not trying to link it, But Mourinho brings competiveness, and dodgedness to any league he goes to. When he entered EPL in 2004 it coincided with when the beginning of English dominance in When he left England was back to shit. he went to Laliga in 2010 Spain took over, he came back in England last year, English team has started putting in shifts with the recent results. I not reading any meaning to the coincidence though. But hate him or love him, he is a serial winner. |

pharod: The SAF that I know will do anything not to lose against Liverpool. Fergie was even shown applauding the team after a strong performance from a defensive point of view.
If we can be able to avoid defeat away to the top teams and pick up the points against the lesser teams, the way I see it, we are still on course to win the league. Every manager has his own tactics, Jose's own is defend when necessary , and batter the smaller teams, he is the most successful manager still in the game. His records speaks for him. |

hoopLA: for me, it's not the issue of bus parking.
It's more of this obvious need to complain when there is a hint of a bad display, even when we win. That is the part I still don't understand.
The team has made its best start in years to a Premier League season, but all we get is complaints.
Defensively we are more sound and appear more sure footed than last season. Yet no one sees tthis as any sign of progress.
We are second on the log. City will encounter periods when things will go wrong for them. Hopefully we will be able to capitalize. Thank you very much, and this "park the bus" people are slating will help us in no distant time. Our solid defence will be handy one day in the later stages of the champions league, if not this year, in the coming years. At least we can be confident of closing up games we won in the first leg some day. |

And for Ferguson, I adore him so much, but sometimes his teams puts up shit performances, Even when winning nobody can deny that. |

hoopLA: It's not hard to see that some folks are just typing for the sake of it. They now even lump it together with games we won. Even when we put 4 goals past opposition while not playing well.
I thought the result is what mattered the most. apparently, sexy football is also needed. If that's the case then they should not hold their breath, because Jose will go to anti-football tactics to win if need be.
Nostradamuses here have seen the downfall of the side. No one is talking of the fact that we've only conceded two goals all season long in the league. All is just wailing galore. No improvement anywhere.
I just tire. People here are not even talking about how Jones put up a very masterful performance yesterday, all they bang on about, is the overused " Park the Bus" crap. hoopLA: disingenuous at best. Firstly, Fergie had Rio Ferdinand (2nd costliest player in England at that time) and Wayne Rooney, both around 30 million pound players each.
Secondly, making references to an era where transfer fees were still reasonable as against now is not a fair argument. If Lukaku was available in 2007, would Fergie pay 75 million (excluding add-ons) for him?
Perspective abeg. When I saw that comment I don't want to answer it. So that the Einsteins will not say we are defending Jose and don't want any criticizm for him, but if you want to condemn someone please be fair to him. Lukaku, Mkhitaryan, Herrera, Rashford and even Matic cannot play in a team that has Rooney, Giggs, Tevez, Ronaldo, Scholes and Carrick. The market now is not same with now and there are no Arab money then. If it's now that Rooney Emerged breaking all records and went ahead to boss Euros, we would have been talking about 150million upwards, but was gotten for 27million. Sometimes some United fans sound to me like trolls wahali, no hard feelings TBH. |

JM parked the bus against Liverpool 2 years in a row, that is what i know. I also know that nearly all the matches you have listed that Fergie parked the bus in have been disproved. Fergie rarely parked the bus and FYI in the premier league era we have won more matches at Anfield than Liverpool when we have met.

You can't access our midfielders that kept running into trouble? And Smalling together with Herrera messing up a clearance? Jose have to shoulder some blame, but our players are just rubbish. afrodoc2: We didint park the bus in that game either. Being outplayed is not the same thing as parking the bus, it is not every time an opponent plays better than you that you can be said to have parked the bus.
Honestly without checking records i can only remember one time Fergie truly parked the bus and that was the Barca tie in 2008. . So why can't you also excuse the Southampton game we won this season as being cautious or being outplayed? After all didn't we scored? Didn't we have other chances apart from the goal? Or when it's Jose it's park the bus, but when it's Fergie it's cautious and outplayed. And Conte it's Defensive masterclass |

(Mou is crazy for playing him yesterday) but when you consider that Young will be coming up against Salah, you might want to reconsider that. Mou used the 4231 to contain and hit them on the counter but Our midfield just collapse like the wall of jericho and you can't blame them really 3 midfield against 2 with Cutinho dropping deep to support and collect the ball. The question then is what did our own players did with the ball when they get it, you can't tell me that Mou instruct them to waste the ball anytime they get it. We played with 1 man down till Miki went off and Klopp maintained his superior midfield by continuing with the 3 men in the middle of the park. Thank you sir, instead of blaming mhki and herrara for putting up dross, they are bashing Jose their easy target |

What about having a balanced or even cautious approach away from home but mixed with some attacking drives or counter attacks? How many matches in over a year that jose has been with us have he packed the bus outrightly witgout any attacking drive or counter attack? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by CapitalCee(m): 11:47am On Oct 15, 2017 |
afrodoc2: Yep. In those 2 matches we had more possession, more corners, more shots at goal and more shots on target. It si not every match that we lost or played badly under Fergie that we parked the bus in. I know I wasn't even referencing the games we lost, we won Everton in 2012 Season but once Chicharito scored earlier they dominated us, same with Southampton around that time once Rooney has given us the lead. Vs Norwich etc. My issue with those condemning mourinho is saying he packs the bus without any plan. Honestly it's unfair to him. Since he came to United how many matches have he actually packed the bus? If you check it it's not up to 5. We have scored over 30 goals this season and conceded just 4. Getting a goalless point at Anfield is not bad at all |
