andrewza: We have not invented a jet but we do build them, upgrade them and make engeins and componts for them.

Some of the A109 nigeria flys where built in SA.

We opert and made one of only a few data link sytems, the 30mm gun on the badger has been called the best in it's class, the daphine sub that are now retierd in SA had local sytems in them more advance than many current sytems. Iraq chose the Ingwene AGM over american iquvlent AGM, not only do we have the best 155mm howitzer we all so have the some of the best mortas. Should I go on. I have a 137 PDF file of just SA arms companys not on sytems just companys.

Nigeria has many years to go.
i like arguing with pride bt when i see the truth i accept unlike some SA Guys i knw of(name withheld to avoid namecalling)! SA is truely ahead of nigeria in terms of defense aero-technology bt i wouldnt obvioulsy accept the fact that you think because SA is ahead then nigeria must be stagnant!0
because of your sense of degradation i guess you havnt heard of the "FARAWA I Trainer and light role bomber jet" whose design was completed and presented to C of AIR Staff during the unveiling of the nigerian built "bomb diffusing robot". And also during the unvieling of amebo iii.

xcitedjay: Next, we'd hear that the Air-Force has been listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Is this now the function of the Nigerian Air-Force? Instead of concentrating on protecting our Airspace, they thinking of making 'more' money.

Well, I'm looking forward to the Nigerian Army launch of commercial Armored Tank Transportation.
how wil the receive funds to defend our airspace if the dont get enough benjamins coming in? Especialy now that the FG is anticipating defense cuts, the guyz must surely find alternative ways to make ends meet and finance the AIR FORCE.

DictatorZAR: Hahahah what refueling capability F-7grin are you talking about because none of your jets have a refueling capability.

Yes google is your friend also like we told your countryman before you aren't dealing with a bunch of ignorant South Africans, we know full well what NAF's limitations are, including our own SAAF. Google is your friend don't try to run when u can't even crawl properly.

By the way your bro mr aguagust aka military expert, gave us the source to his BTR claim now he disputes his own source when he been proven of being a liar.

Captain now show us that you're not on the same foolish level as that wanna be analyst and show us the proof not 20year futuristic dreams.
lol. Who is talking about 20yr futuristic dream?
I can remember vividly arguing that nigeria were getting the 24 L-15 trainers but your comrades refuted saying it was a lie, now deliveries have started alongside "II-76 aircraft, 24 units of j-10B, 24 units of JF-7A's, 2 units of Mi-26TB, 3 UNITS of Ka-60/64, 10 units of Mi-17-iv, 2 units of Mi-17-ivA, 4 units of Ka-29TB, 24 units of Mi-35M, 6 UNITS OF Ka-26 etc . . . .
Please to verify this do check janes aprill 2013 updated inventory or most importantly Z9.invisionfree military acquistions thanks.

andrewza: How come littel chad has sent 1000 more solders to malili than the giant of africa.

Nigeria 1100 out of promissed 1100
Chad 2200 out of a promised 2200

Nigerian army 62 000
Chad army 20 000
i hope you are not hading towards your normal "per capita" stuffs. Anyway do you know how many nigerian troops are in baracks? Very few because most nigerian troops are either in sudan,UN Peace tour,DR congo, niger or engage with islamic insurgents in the north, militant groups in the delta or protecting nigerian citizens against camerounian gendermes in bakassi! Our army is really over streached, so sending a battalian was the least we could do at the moment! And we also have contingents in the UN Peace force that would be sent to to reinforce french troops coupled with our troops in niger and mali. Our troops are not idle bt rather constantly engaged in combat bt in nigeria and outside. Chad had no problem requiring military force as we did, so sending 2 battalions was no big deal !

FG PLAN MILITARY BASES IN BAKASSI; ARMY FOB PLANNED FOR IKANG, NAVAL FOB TO BE SET UP ON DAYSPRING 1

DAILY PUNCH

There are indications that the Federal Government has concluded arrangements to set up two forward operational bases (FOB) in Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River State to check cases of alleged incessant killings, maiming and destruction of properties of Nigerians by the Cameroonian gendarmes.
Commander of the 13 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Calabar, Brig.-Gen. Okwudili Azinta, who gave the indication on Tuesday when he paid a courtesy visit to the state secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, said the two operational bases would be located in Dayspring 1 and Ikang. No fewer than five Bakassi natives, who resisted forcible eviction from Efut Obot Ikot, a settlement in the ceded peninsula, were allegedly brutally massacred on March 7 by Cameroonian military authorities, while 1, 800 displaced persons are currently being camped at Akwa Ikot Edem Primary School in Akpabuyo LGA. Azinta, however, said from indications, the Navy would establish their base at Dayspring 1 while the Army would have theirs at Ikang.
The Commander said the establishment of these bases would enable the armed forces to have easy and quick access to Nigerians still living in areas close to Cameroon and also deter foreign troops from terrorising them.

Now this is what happens when nigeria decides to play good boy and leave bakassi because of UN VERDICT! The camerounians are brutally killing nigerians but Armnesty international, aljazeera, bbc and presstv have not seen, when nigerian aboki troops start behaving like true abokis the will start shouting all over the place.

sithwell: Nigerians started the race issue. So I fail to see how I am now the one that is interested in skin colour. You started it.

Now, we are talking about technology, right? You came up with that point. Technology means talent. If a talented German person has to choose between SA and Nigeria (not talking about being seconded to Lagos for two years). I am talking about changing countries. More often than not, the German will chose SA. You can argue and say that this has to do with infrastructure. But a lot of it also has to do with how cosmopolitan our cities are. Sure, there could be a lot of turn-offs, but race isn't one of those turn offs. In Nigeria, race is a turn off. Therefore, you have already cut off a huge section of global talent because of your insistence that you are a black country.

Even your understanding of integration is wrong. Diversity does not mean that cultures swallow each other up, so that a person "gets used to the culture and the philosophy" of the country he finds himself in. In the context of multiculturalism, integration and diversity does not mean being allowed to be who you are and being given an equal place in society without being expected to conform. In that setting, cultures then clash and shape one another. "Converting" Chinese people into blacks and having them speak in a Nigerian accent is not integration. It's survival and/or conformance. Just ask any black, white, Indian or coloured urban South African if they do not find racially monotonous nations to be a turn off. The answer will be an emphatic yes, whether those nations are black or white. If there is one thing that you learn about South Africa in your life, this is it.

In a "black country", people of other races will come, but they will go. And their global talent along with them. Having 300+ tribes of people from the same region, as well as a trickling of unintegrated people of other races means nothing in today's global society. It is not good enough when it comes to attracting and keeping talent. What you want is real diversity of history, culture, origin and race. This is what South Africa offers. Therefore, the issue is not that we had white people come here 300 years ago. The issue is that we did not chase them away 18 years ago. And as each race and culture participates in South African society, the quality bar keeps going higher.
i quite understand what you are aiming at, bt bro it aint all that! Why nigerians are proud of being blacks is diverse and gargantuos!
Nigerians tend to be proudly mostly because of the white feeling of superiority!
When nigerian troops drove japanese soldiers off britain colony a tast which an entire bristish army were too afraid to undertake, a nigerian troop told the commanding britain officer "i had always lived with the thought that the whites are superiors and meant to be our masters, but today and forever, i will be proud of being black because surely the white are lesser beings in some extents"-

when us african spy network a.k.a africom wanted an operational base in nigeria, using full diplomatic force, what gave nigerian power to resist is the same feeling of being proudly black, not wanting to succomb to western powers fuel the initiation of phrases like "the most populous -black- nation" , "giants of africa" , "giants of west africa",etc! This was all in a bid to prove to the west that we are proud being blacks and to some extent a fierce deterrent against political and military meddling! Thats the spirit of a true nigeria. Even in the spate of voilence in the north, we refuse US MILITARY INTERVENTION. Even in the worst of situations, a nigerian would say "PROUDLY NAIJA".

andrewza: You do know the SANDF sends more per capita and no african country can match SA in terms of providing foreign aid.
hahahaha. I would realy like to meet you one day bro. You keep insisting on this your "PER CAPITA DELUSIONAL GRANDEUR". Considering your huge 50million populace, i dnt think per capita counts, maintiaining an army of 500,000 wouldnt have been a big deal so that you wil not only send more per capita but also more GDP.(Gross domestic Man-Power)!. Nigerians are pressuring ministry of defense to increase troop strength every day and here you are talking of per capita?

andrewza: Nigeria is not diverse it is tribal. Each group dislikes and even hates each other. Nigeria has no unity. This very forum is proof.
your making assertions due to tribal e-wars is a fallacy!
Even as the south claim to hate the north, let the SA's try invading a northen state, and wait and see the reaction of the south! I guess you have never heard the BBC severally used the phrase, "the land of contradiction" to describe nigeria, guess why? Because today we fight each other bt tomorow we join hands to fight a common enemy!

Show me one satellite that is better then 1 SA built satellite even Sunsat which was launched way before Nigeria had a space dream is still functional today, and it was built by SA not a joint ventures like Nigeria always do.

So to achieve their goal, whenever there is a military raid, the claim civilians life were lost and that those killed are civilians, but funny thing is whether civilians always go around with IEDs and Ak's, and whether civilians always return fire with troops whenever their hideouts are raided by troops.[/b]
