snydergp: This was taken from a UNODC report and it excludes terrorist related deaths. Go google the UNODC report yourself and then come and say that same sh*t again.

snydergp: How the hell is it low because there's more than 18,800+ murders per 100000 in Nigeria 12% average in contrast to SA's 15,650 per 100000 of the population which gives SA a 33% rating which is only higher due to our smaller population.

South Africans don't deny that we have a crime problem we are working at it and the results are there for everyone to see the overall crime rate has decreased on average by 8% year on year eventhough certain crimes have remained stubbornly high I must admit.

Thus said even with our high crime rate why are we still one of the top five worlds best tourist destinations withg over 10 million people visiting SA last year and over 12 million the previous year, making SA by far the premier destination on the continent especially amongst africans FACT. The same cannot be said about Nigeria.

Tribal and religious conflicts virtually never takes on a violent nature in SA yet in Nigeria it can mean the wipe out of entire families in remote villages why can u please explain this backward phenomenon of ur country.
the high murder rate is because of Boko haram manace in the north! It is years since i experienced robbery, and to be frank i havnt read of robbery incidents in any dailies or heard via tv/radio for the past 5 years!

If you ask my candid opinion, i will strongly support more diplomatic, bilateral and bi-national ties with countries like brazil, india, china and indonesia instead of the Us,uk and their puppets, this are the countries that can put us in an economic spotlight through mutual co-existence and relations.

A game programmer to me is just a programmer who optimises his algo-sense to create game program. Actualy any programer who has passion for games can dive into game programing without much stress, because he/she has a rather gargantous knowlege of the pre-requisite concept which is simply general programming. Just my assertions oh.

Amhatu: Thanks for posting. Its not hard to tell if true because you can look at Iraq and see the same tactics used in attempt to divide that country.
ya bro, same tactics! Take a look at what the did to libya! The supported both sides to fight to death. The provided amunitions for the rebels openly but secretly also provided amunitions to saudi arabia who will inturn arm the libyan government forces. America the chief con artist

alakid: All who do not believe this do not know how far the so called free world would go to force their economic policies on people. Its all about the benjamins mehn.
you see bro, that is the problem with some nigerians, when you tell the truth, the simply refuse to believe, even when given evidence. The ambassador of us clearly told fg after a boko haram bombing saying "america does not a permanet freind but rather permanent interest" and will go beyound lines to proctect it interest. Any wel thinking guy would understand the implication of that statement.

i have 1001 evidence to prove the validity of this theory, who ever doughts should just ask for it
Foreign AffairsRe: Wikileaks: Boko Haram Is A CIA Covert Operation by Capnd143(m): 10:06am On Feb 21, 2013
Ngwakwe: Op do you think boko haram can be easily bought with money.

You can believe anything, boko haram is driven by ideology the same with Taliban in Pakistan and Al-shabab in Somalia.
i feared as much! Bro,it is important you understand the western concept before jumping into conclusions. The islamist ideologies is what is being exploited by the cia to tear nigeria apart, no one is saying that cia invented boko haram, we are saying cia is supporting boko haram in a virtual war against nigeria waged by the western powers.

---------------------------- --------------------- --------------------- ---------------------------- --------------------- ------------------------------------------------- --------------------- ---------------------

ok, lets take a walk through memory lane; a wikileaks document leaked in 2011 clearly stated up to 5 propaganda cooked up by the west and fed to northerners to instigate hatred for southerners,
in the document is was clearly seen that the most of the reasons why the northerners hate sourtherners was as a result of conspiracy theory cooked up and fed to the north through religious and traditional rulers by the cia.

Looo . . .ng overdue! Countries like japan, south korea, china name them have trafic/security camera installed almost after every 60m in all roads. Wont be bad if nigerian followed same on developed roads while also developing/constructing other roads to follow same. BOKO HARAM MENANCE WOULD HAVE BEEN GARGANTOUSLY CHECKED,IF THERE WERE SECURITY CAMERAS ON NORTHERN ROADS. We are rich enough to handle this, if only bad belle govt officials wont redirect the funds.

Msauza: Democracy is an egalitarian system in which everyone is entitled to practice their rights freely without anyone including the government encroaching upon their rights. In Nigeria women are still impeded to exercise their full rights as compared to their male counterparts who are regarded as superior in decision making. Same sex marriages is still a controversial issue in Nigeria where those who are strongly defending tradition stand opposed to it. Stoning to death is still a widespread practice and remedial action against promiscuous women in Northern Part of Nigeria majority of whom have not successfully accepted democracy and instead are calling for Sharia law to take over the whole of Nigeria. The most important factor in democracy is when is fully and not partially accepted by those in which it applies. Democracy has been implemented in Nigeria, but about [50%-27%] of citizens do not believe in absolute freedom of person, rather believe that a person should be controlled with rules and principles that support religions and traditions.

Democracy does not support any religion and traditions, it anchors methods of freedom of person and limits such freedom through whenever it extents to trampling upon rights of other individuals. Same sex marriages does not encroach upon anybody's right, thus the reason why it has been legalised in modern democracies. Legalisation of abortions as well does not encroach upon anybody's right.
i refused to comment Msauza because of the respect, i have 4 you, but your comments above compelled me to! Ok . .lets go on a close analysis. NIgeria has practised democracy for only 13years, mainly due to military rule, with it gargantuos muslim population, it still strives to maintain democracy, notwithstanding widespread oppositions from "acclaimed" religion of peace codenamed "islam". Now which islamic country in the whole world, can say such of their govt modus operandus, just mention 1.

When almost most of the muslim population kick against democracy which entails egalitarianism that directly opposes the islamic belief of male superiority, do you honestly think there would have been an iorta of democratic tendencies? No. But yet stil nigerian govt are still democratic; freedom of the press, of speech, of religion, of association etc.

Even some "islamic miscreant" go to our dear president fb page and insult him, yet no military actions are taken because of freedom of speech, take for e.g recently when a Newyorker called obama a nigga on twitter, she was relieved of her duties and detained, this happen in a country that has practise democracy for who know? Maybe up to a 5-10 decades.

Nigerians staged protest without being clamned down on with force, can you say this of other muslim populated countries like libya, tunisia, yemen, egypt, in short the entire middle east and north african states? . My guess: No.

Preaching the gospel in countries like iran is a taboo and is sometimes punishable by death, which is in direct voilation of fundamental human rights, well a glance at nigerians spiritual nature will tell the tell, as even in the islamic core north, there are thousands of churches, and other religious set ups, notwithstanding the prevailing state established sharia laws.

There are many and many more, i cant just mention, please you are at freedom to express your self with validated truth dear Msauza. Thank you.

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Capnd143(m): 12:54pm On Feb 17, 2013
Msauza: This is really confusing because your minister of trade visited SA in November last year with a sole purpose of asking SA companies to invest in Nigeria as other developed nation do not have any interest of investing in Nigerian market. The reason is because of terrorists attacks that had been going on in Nigeria that scares away investors and the only country that seem to brave itself is SA. Majority of Nigerian companies are too small to meet the demand and the problem is many businessmen believe in sole trading and not in partnership or companies. It seems as if there is a lot of trust issue concerning business in Nigeria.
Msauza . . You are really at it! No matter how any country economy might grow, the still need investors!, we came there to seek more investors, just as we went to poland, china, japan, india,uk etc! Any the fact that it is only SA companies that are only showing up is a fallacy, we have several chinese, japanese, indonesian,uk etc who have shown up recently, some who have privatised are statutory power coperations! There over 20 international power giants currently in nigeria who are to take over generation, transmission and distribution of power, due to the reform of the power sector. NUCLEAR POWER IS ALSO IN NIGERIAS TO-DO-LIST which would probably attract foreign and indigenous companies .thanks

striktlymi: Good morning Capnd,

Nice one!

I am quite interested in knowing the outcome of your research when you are finally done. A research that has been on for about 13 yrs gives me the impression that you are quite serious about it. I wish you the best of luck in your research but a few pointers:

1) The poverty line threshold has been reviewed to $1.25 a day at 2005 Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) by the world bank from its initial $1 a day.

2) Your test sample should consider things like: Geographical spread, percentage of Nigerians in paid employment (whether business or otherwise) because if your sample only entails those who are working i.e earning something then it might be misleading. The sample should be all inclusive considering that we are talking about every Nigerian here and not only those who are employed (not necessarily with a company).

Thank you!
yes you are right striktlymi , and that is exatcly what i have been doing, i am taking into consideration, all area/sectors that actively employs labour; military, education, manufacturing, services etc and am placing priority on those whose wages/salary can take them over a period of time, with the possibility of availaibility of more than $1.25 cents per day and with some remaining cash to carter for other needs. I will soon be through with my research as it is in the final stages. I am sure of my stats because of obtained data from; the Nigeria bereau of statistics(NBS), the centraL inteligence agency(CIA), WORLD BANK,GOOGLE PUBLIC DATA,ECOWAS and other state and local data sources. Thanks
