Why do the SA Keep phewing tells of inferior war arsenals, otherwise claimed to superior. Ok let me do a small contrast between Nigerian military strength and the South Africans conterpart being totally unbiased in my judgement.

In a possible war (which i pray shouldnt occur) between the Nigeria and south Africa, there are many things to be considered, not just how many jets,tanks or assault riffles a country has determine its military capability but also salient factors like; size,military flexibility,combat experience,active military personal, military cordination and national wealth(GDP),natural resources, foreign reserves to fund war . Taking all these factors into consideration then we will be able to denote the actual military potential of a country.

ocelot2006: Your post is riddled with so many inaccuraccies. We do jot own any UH-1 Huey helicopters or C-160 Transalls transport aircraft. Never have, never will.

ALL our A-109 LUH (bought just a few years ago) are pretty much in service (Enugu). Four AS Puma utility helos have equally been put back in active duty after beingupgraded in Romania. 2 of our C-130s are currently on active duties flying sorties in Mal, and 3 more are expected to return this month from Europe where they were sent for upgrades. All 6 G-222s are in active service, with one that flew in NAF technical teams and Special Forces into Ali and Niger Republic during the start of operation serval in Mali. Alpha jets and Mi-35 Hind assault helicopters have also been deployed to provide combat are support for troops on the ground.

But yes our old Mig-21s and Jaguars have been withdrawn from service. But we DO NOT own any F-5 fighters or MIG-29 fulcrums.

well am very sory bro! U are a bush meat! Dont you know the "Defense Act of the federal Republic". The soldiers are meant to secure the country against attacks and in external interest like mali. The police members that constitute the JTF are those that are reinductrinated and the dont event take part in live ground combat nor aerial offence, they just do intelligence gathering handed down from NIA a nigeria equivalent of CIA, My freind dont let me go into military affairs!
