naijablood: I started observing this pattern since 2018 I was posted away from my then girlfriend to another state for NYSC hence couldn’t engage in serious relationship through out my service
…But seriously that year was one of my favorite in terms of financial success. As a serving corper I was also working freelance for two different companies in Lagos. … coupled with other gigs … I was in money.
After service I met a lady and we kicked off a relationship, within 2months of us into the love affair, I lost the two jobs as a freelance was done with service so had to start some money making venture, but was tough, well the relationship lasted four months.
After three months of us breaking up I had a business idea, year 2020, got into it and within two months I made my first million was single for a year.
2021 I met a lady and started meeting … and within a space of 6 months, I was back to square one…
Early this year was tough and depressing, and by June, we were already having relationship problem, hence some space between us.
But from September I notice some positivity, business took off I started saving up and by November I had to buy a property to compensate myself for a hardworking year ..
Now my problem is I’m disturbed , this lady been asking for us making the relationship official .. but I’m scared loosing it all … I keep getting back to the ground when I’m in relationship…
But will I be single for life … I’m just lost. I have consulted for you....There's somebody you need to appease. Wake up 2am tomorrow, pray and think deeply. (Note: the offence may not be your fault, it may be from someone close to you, e.g your parents) |

Komu1048: Divorce influence on kids is disastrous as the kids most times end up with the wife. Besides Bible frown at it. Look, don't bring the Bible to matters like this because the Bible is written in such a way that any side you want to support, there are bible verses that will back you. For example a man is permitted to divorce his wife if she commits sexual immorality...Matthew 19:9I know Divorce is a hard pill, but most times it's the only solution. "About the kids".... Honestly, life can be very unfair. This is the point where the state has to come-in to ensure the welfare of the kids are taken care by both parties involved. |

Lagos2Berlin: I love the packaging, but the whole power grid isn't even installed across the rail lines yet, I know it's all for 2023... The train isn't even available for the general public yet, too many adverts on social media
I am waiting for one local boy that hasn't seen an electric powered train before to come and tell me I am wrong...
Also, the rail currently covers 2.7km (Mile 2 to Marina), if you're driving to Marina from CMS it's a 5-minute journey without traffic. They should hurry up and do it to Okoko so that Lasu and badagry area residents can use it. It's either you don't know or you just want to downplay the efforts. The first phase that has just been completed and undergoing testing for official Launch by Mr President is a 13km stretch. (Marina to Mile-2 is not 2.7km but 13km). The entire Blue Line rail will be 27km when completed. The Red line is a 35km lane and will be up and running by the end of next quarter. Below are the stations you will have when the Red and Blue Line is fully completed.

She don't wanna be a "numbered wife"
Yul f*cked up big time... Even though I ain't gonna throw a stone, cuz it's damn damn difficult sticking to one woman for donkey years.
A woman cannot find everything she desire in a man, in one man. Same with the man....
A woman might be good in the kitchen, top notch when it comes to relating with people, superbly neat and freaking smart, but terrible in bed...
Or she might be a ganster, a confamed nympho, but an empty brain that cannot impart a single knowledge in your kids..
In all this, understanding is the key. When you have that knowledge that nobody's perfect.. You have it all figured out. We only know what she doesn't want. What we don't know is "what she want"! If eventually she wants to divorce, the earlier the better for her. |

Emaprince: How does the last paragraph favour those business men and women he was talking about?. If a cray fish seller will have to be surcharged for withdrawing above the stipulated limit in order to buy goods to sell, dont you think she will add it all up on the cray fish..hence making the cost of things more costlier. Do you think this will favour the country at all?
Cashless policy might be good..bit Nigeria is not ready yet. No proper sensitization. Nothing have been done to get more people patronise the electronic route..yet they had to force everybody to do it out of no where. With all the millions of illiterates that cant make transfers or receive? Let me tell you the truth, there's no country that was 100% ready. Unless we start it, we will never get it done. I'm not really concerned about cashless system anyway. I know it's possible because I've personally not touch cash in over a year now. My focus is the cash withdrawal limit which I believe is good for the SMEs and the economy. Trust me, the policy is good even for the crayfish sellers. We are already paying surcharges for withdrawal anyway. One thing we are not realising is that the poor masses in generality are currently paying even more subsidy for the super-wealthy and those stealing and hoarding the money when they withdraw. |

lereinter: Your comment is not holistic What part is not covered? Mind you, the Apex bank policy did not totally say you cannot withdrawal more than 20k per day. All they are saying is, if you will withdraw more than that, a certain fixed percentage will be paid based on how much you are withdrawing. |
Politics › Re: Emefiele Must Go Protest Storms Aso Rock by CaptainFM1: 6:33am On Dec 23, 2022 |
wirinet: Maybe you reason this way because you are a salary earner. Me as a business man reason differently. I know the 30k minimum wage don't mean jack to business people. I know road side hawkers that handle more than 30k cash per day. Petrol stations make more than 30k per transaction. Even fish or crayfish sellers make more thN 30k turnover per day. I have not even mentioned construction contractors that needs to pay tens of workers their daily wage at the end of the day.
Nigeria does not have enough people banked at the moment to impose such strick restrictions. Only about 45% of adult population have bank accounts. The informal economy is way bigger than the formal economy. A wise CBN would embark on a drive to get more Nigerians banked before imposing such cash restrictions. I understand everything you're saying. Yes, they all MAKE more than 30k per day. With the emphasis on MAKE/day.....it's different from WITHDRAWAL/day. The policy is on withdrawal/day and not what people make/day. And mind you, the Apex bank is not saying you cannot withdrawal more than 20k/day. All they are saying is if you're going to do that, a fixed percentage will be paid based on how much you're withdrawing. |

That is why we contributed severally to erase Nigeria negative index. But this dumb governor is doing nonsense!
I cant make international transaction due to stupid policies you're just beating round the bush with irrelevant policies that has done nothing. Sir/Ma, ......Nigeria doesn't end with Lagos and Southwest alone. For your int'l transaction, I'm sure if you approach your bank, they will offer your platforms/ways to do it. |
Politics › Re: Emefiele Must Go Protest Storms Aso Rock by CaptainFM1: 1:47am On Dec 23, 2022 |
wirinet: You stay in big cities and project the rest of Nigeria to your personal experience. Have you been to riverine villages in the Niger Delta where you go on 3 to 4 hours boat rides to access from the main city? Such villages got no banks. There are hundreds if not thousands of such communities in the north, West and middle belt. Then we start talking about internet or network access to operate digital banking. Not all communities have electricity not to talk of network.
I don't quarrel with digital banking, but it has to be done slowly, tactically and innovatively, and not rushed haphazardly as it is being done. Their withdrawal is still not affected considering how much they've got in the bank if the bone of contention is about the maximum daily withdrawal. I'm not focused on the digital but on the maximum daily withdrawal. If all I earn monthly is 30k, and I can withdraw 20k maximally everyday by whatever platforms I chose. It simply means I can make withdrawal twice. The clause is that if however I want to withdraw all my 30k at once, then I will pay the fine stipulated for that...which was why I said the 20k is fair and 50k is reasonable. |

His job is to manage Nigeria's monetary policy, stabilize the currency and thus the economy and manage inflation. I don't know why we are all raved up. Is 20k maximum daily withdrawal for a country whose civil servants monthly allowance is 18k not over sufficient? |

How do banning naira card from making international transaction improved the economy?
Do you know how many technology business are being frustrated because of stupid policies. Most of you are celebrating because you think it's tinubu that is suffering it. ......Daily withdrawal..... 20k is fair. 50k is reasonable too. But, come to think of it....."Civil Servants only earn #18k monthly, and even at that some states are still owing them" Logically, the daily 20k should be sufficient going by what an average Nigerian earns. Notwithstanding, the CBN puts a clause to it that if you are going to withdraw more than the 20k daily, then a certain percentage will be paid...which is very fair. In my own view this is a very good policy for the poor masses because all they earn can be withdrawn in one day anyway. |

Olu317: Ofcourse yes, you are right. The problem being encountered is the derogatory interpretation of Yoruba names and lack of us not knowing our names are associated with Orisa.
The Christians misinformation on naming is a major setback and from Islamic angle even to an extent Yoruba Muslims bear Islamic name which ends up as prefix slavish name which is a taboo fromYoruba traditional doctrine but are often accepted by muslims. You hear people attached Abdul as a prefix before other names with joy but the meaning is Slave or servitude or one who is owned and in total submission to his owner. In Yoruba religious perspective or system, Yorubas are all sons and daughters to Orúnmìílà/Ẹlà,,who is also known as Olúwa etc (ibikéjì Elédùmárè-the other face of Elédùmárè).
On the angle of not having firm grip on Yoruba names and its meaning, then it will always be orientation and reorientation for people to have grip on their history and original meaning of their names without watery translation. When all of us start sending our kids to obodo oyinbo to start learning western culture, we gradually wash away our own roots and tradition. Even our school system and everything we do in Nigeria isn't indigenous anymore. Our preference tilts towards western life, western religion, foreign gods, foreign governance style etc. All these contribute massively to culture eradication. What is wrong if for example school uniform is made of Ankara or Adire The very first form of civilization is cultural identity. And I'm sorry to say, we've lost it. All we are doing now is patching up. |
