lexy2014:
if you are abroad and your passport gets expired during your stay there, what will you do?
First, your stay should always expire before your visa. And your visa will always expire before your passport.

So right before you travel abroad, you plan your stay within the duration of your visa which will always be less than the period remaining on your passport.

Can you apply for a 3years visa on a passport that has 6months left?

If your passport expired abroad, it means your visa expired much earlier and you've been staying illegally from thence.

There are few things you can do;
1. Renew your passport from the foreign mission overseas and then apply for an extension of stay on your visa. Each cases can be different in this regard though. And you may have to answer to why you allow your visa and passport to expire.

2. Take your expired passport and go back to your home country.

It's no issue. The government welcome back all the people Japa did not favour even if your passport has expired.

Obviously you must have been overstaying illegally with an expired visa too if your passport is expired.

Yinmu.

Quit the idleness and vain entertainment of the social media, go work hard to build a formidable business like Erisco foods first then when your sweat and hardwork comes under attack, let's see what you will do. Talk is cheap.

Erisco did the right thing by taking the lawful and legal route instead of taking the laws into his own hands, all these media escalation doesn't help the lady.

What her lawyer is alleging above is a civil case where her lawyer is demanding money while the client he claims to be defending is facing a serious criminal case. In my opinion, the strategy is incoherent and seems that he is not ready for reconciliation. I believe that it's only reconciliation and amicable resolution that can help that lady. I pray she comes to that reality soon enough.

May God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!
Try compare the way the Erisco man dey mouth around VS the way Landmark owner is going about his own current challenges.

You will understand the difference in their managerial skills.

I'm so happy the Solar Eclipse did not pass through Nigeria. By now you would have seen our governors killing rams and celebrating planetary activity.

Meanwhile I do not believe this swimming feat.

Who covered it? Can we have the 2hrs 30mins video of him swimming the Atlantic?

Tomorrow someone will still come with a story that he flew like a bird from Lagos to Abuja without evidence and one particular governor and his group will still believe that.

As Franz Kafka puts it....."One idiot is one idiot. Two idiots are two idiots. Ten thousand idiots are a political party"

So why that one come be your business?

Everything should not be about first class, do other people with other grade not deserve good things from the government too?
Where does our priority lies in this country?

Someone that can afford to go to London and even get car, has enough money for fueling the car, barge the car on ferry to cross the Mediterranean sea or cross the Mediterranean to Morocco and pick up another different car to still continue her journey....Such a person is definitely not suffering as far as Nigeria of today is concerned.

There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions Lagosian that the government should try and assist to bring them out of poverty.
My neighbor just came to beg for garri now for him and his two sons. Not like I have much, I had to add some change for him too.

On Fox news few days ago, it was analysed that more and more Gen-z are ditching college and university for learning trade and other hand work. Over here in Nigeria, our youths are more interested in Nairabet, Play football or become a musician. I guess the reasons are not far fetched. The society has put priority upside down. Even the government is very guilty at this.

I'm not saying adventuring is not good. Infact it can be a source of education in itself. But truly we need to put our priority into right perspective. Imagine each state government funding thousands of pilgrimages to Israel and Mecca every year and asking poor students to get loans for education? O wrong gan now?

Where does our priority lies in this country?

Stop speculating since you're still thinking.

The Nigerian market is their target. Most of this foreign airlines can come to an abysmally low price just to hold the market.

Nigerian government better be ready to buffer airpeace and also compel all government officials must use airpeace only for foreign trips.

I've been thinking this too for over 2months too. I need answers from her. For what I know, it's absolutely impossible to drive from London to Lagos.

I still can't find the land connection, linked bridge or subsea roadways that linked Africa and Europe together.

How on earth did she cross the Mediterranean with a car? If that's possible, illegal migrants will not be doing the dangerous and deadly sea crossing over the Mediterranean sea just to get to Europe.

She should tell us if she has Moses staff with her!

So do you order the items online, and just go pick them in store? Or do you walk from aisle to aisle in store picking your items. I ask because running costs of outlets located in say Chelsea would be higher than the same costs for a store located in say Woolwich Arsenal. I would expect the prices in the Chelsea outlet to be slightly more expensive. I would expect a Heathrow outlet to be even more expensive than Chelsea
I go to the stores. If you order online, delivery cost varies depending on your location but the price of the items remains fixed both online and in stores across the UK for the superstores.

The prices are the same because they operate as a multi-superstore system as against individual outlets. In a multi-store system, they have a department that operate online sales. So if you make an order for an item for example, all they do is to check which of their outlets closer and convenient to dispatch from there if the order is in stock there.

All the stores are on one interphase, all the items are on one interphase, sales and payment goes to one global unit but identifiable. So in real time, they know what people are buying most in every individual stores and thereby supply more of it to that particular store. Also, they can see the stock and inventory/items remaining from the each stores.

The running and operating cost of individual outlet is borne by the global enterprise. Thus, for example, an outlet in Fleetwood can make huge profits due to low operating cost while one in Birmingham can make low profit due to high operating cost.

Maybe in the UK, but prices definitely vary across retail outlets of the same Supermarket brand in the US. Definitely in Walmart at least.

In Nigeria, the same Supermarket sef does not know the price or inventory in another of its "branch". I put branch in quotes because they are not really branches. These several outlets are actually franchises that just use the main business name. They are most often independent businesses and do not (refuse to?) share their prices with other franchisees under the same business name
I totally agree with you we are not operating a multi-superstore system rather each superstore is independent which is why it's so difficult to have a web/app listing prices online for them.
Business › Re: LASG Threatens To Seal Supermarkets Over Non-disclosure Of Price Tags On Product by CaptainFM1: 8:41am On Apr 07, 2024
airsaylongcome:
And have their prices widely available on the Internet? Not going to happen in Nigeria. Not yet.

Plus online price is not necessarily price at the outlet. This a truism even for the likes of Walmart
Online prices are accurate with store prices in the UK. Once I've listed all my grocery items I first use price comparison apps such as "Superstore verison" to know which store gives me the price comparative advantage for each individual item. The app tabulates the prices of the items I picked along each superstores and recommend which store(s) to go for each item.

Sometimes I save 5pounds in groceries of about 50pounds. Since I shop on the High streets, all the superstores are often within walking distance to another.

Also each superstores have apps and websites which I often use if I'm going to a single store. I simply use the superstore app cart as my shopping list and walk into the store. The total on the app/web is exactly what I pay at the store. This is accurate 100% of the time for me in the UK. I think this is so because in a multi-superstore system, the HQ sets the price and issue price updates to the branch managers to paste as price tag rather than individual outlets coming up with their own price for every single items.
Business › Re: LASG Threatens To Seal Supermarkets Over Non-disclosure Of Price Tags On Product by CaptainFM1:
airsaylongcome:
Never going to happen. Do the supermarkets themselves know the prices of the same product at their different outlets?
The prices are set by their headquarters. That's why if a Fresh whole milk is 1pound at ASDA, it will be the same price in all ASDA stores across the UK.

Once the headquarter releases price update to all the stores, the branch manager comply as instructed and gives feedback to the HQ within a stipulated time frame.

It's not easy to drive efficiency, but hey it's this inefficiency that kills Nigeria.

I like to "pick" your brain a bit. Would you have benefited from a Price checker? Customers can scan the item to get it's price and decide if they want to make the purchase or not. You make an intital upfront capital investment to acquire the devices. But subsequently price tagging is eliminated. I've seen it at some Ebeano outlets and my neighborhood supermarket and have learned to rely on them for updated prices
No need to go far. Prices can be scanned with mobile phones. Our superstores just need to improve on consumer's service and experience.

Most of the people applauding this are saying it from their place as just consumers. If you've been an insider or ever worked with or managed a big or medium sized supermarket or related shop, you'll understand why most of them don't put price tags.
What if I purchase items today for 10 naira and I put the selling price tag at 13 Naira. Then later in the day, the cost price has gone up to 20 naira. It means I have to change my own selling price so that I can be able to restock next time. Imagine if there were price tags, the shop assistants will be tagging and retagging the products almost all the time. It is a waste of useful time.
It's not too much of a job to do.
What they could do is to use erasable system and hand written the prices. Once there is a price update the store assistants can then go to the particular product and update the price.

The erasable tag system should be placed behind a secured plain glass because some consumers too are unscrupulous.

Also, our superstores too should harmonize together and have a price comparison website or apps such as "super verison app" in the UK where you can enter all your groceries and you automatically know which store gives you the lowest price for each individual items.

Our supermarket need to improve consumers experience.

Do you carry a cart and walk round to pick your groceries at the Aboki store or you simply tell him what you want and he hands them over to you?
