well i dont know your reasons but traditional wedding is a must in african setting because this is where you settle the bride price and do other traditions rites attached to that occassion so therefore i doubt if you can skip it maybe you can only delay it infact i had a friend who did just white wedding and court yet the family of the lady didnt recognise that their daughter was married until he fulfilled the tradition rites. |
for the weddin we spent a little over a 700k including the tradtional rites because we kept it low key but the ring itself cost close to half a million,my wife told me she wants that expensive ring because its once in a life time and since we can both afford it we went for it. |
i will tell u exactly what i did before i got married,i disguise myself, rented a one room apartment in lagos, borrowed a friends toyota celica 1980 ooo made sure AC de sha then i started the project and i tell u my broda afta one year i got the deal sealed,my wife got upset but she later understood my reasons. |
@opyabs,i guess u are new to nairaland pls go check the price of the car in the major market and re-fix ur price cos its not reasonable atalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll |
Date each other as if you weren't married. Dress up, wear make up, cologne/perfume. Recreate your early years. Meet each other on site and pretend as though you're meeting for the first time–or have your partner pick you up from work or home. The whole idea is to go all out. |
I got married |
I feel embarrassed to narrate an experience I had with an aboki okada rider few days ago.A friend of mine who work on the island had the same experience, being the a karate red belter though works in the bank, the guy came down from the bus, remove his suit and beat the blue day light out of the okada rider while lagosians stand and watch the nollywood, meanhwile the don mak enuff noise on how he will beat my friend and people were infact begging in but as soon as my friend boarded the bus,he insulted him in hausa calling him tif tif men when we go station go collect my friend the police de infact hail him but giving the guy enuff beating to keep him quite. |
my own wahala is how is it like to have a sister or sisters,we are all male children 8 of us and while growing up our house was hammer house of horror,i know the advantage of having brothers,u=you dare not touch me as my older brothers will kill you since i havppen to be number 7 in line,it was fun they treated me well and beat me well too at those times i feel stubborn,i remember an experience where they dealt with me mercilessly during one of those times daddy and mummy travelled, they tied me to the bed and they all went to sleep just imagine that but those were sweet memories i must tell you. |
my best advise for u is to take the engineering job,i work in biggest oil and gas compnay in the world and i understand what it means building a career on the engineering line, however what is this indigenous compnay into, what kind of projects do they do,who are their clients in the oil sector?sorry am asking these questions but it will assist me to do an assessment of what they can offer, let me pain a scenerio we have projects that will last up to 20yrs they have been given to some indigenous companies in nigeria and some of these companies have an entry level of well over 200k for further info you can send me a mail at anjola9ja@yahoo.com as i can assist you to check updates on any indigenous oil company and their strenght |
