Same here, i have kept that pending too. Whenever they call me fine...if they dont do that in time they have lost one valuable employee they wish they ever had.
Xenox: I've not been invited for interview.. I did my test on 8th June and I was successful. Tired of waiting though.
Webmasters4 Ways To Get Your Pagerank Up Quickly by Carsonv(op): 10:19pm On Jul 07, 2013
Want to get your PageRank up quickly? Most people don't realize that your visible PageRank is very different than your real PageRank. Google tracks your real PageRank internally, but only updates the visible PageRank (the one you can see with PR checkers) a couple times a year.
So, technically, it's impossible to speed up the timeline on your PageRank update. That said, there's a lot you can do to immediately boost your internal PageRank and improve your rankings. This will also help give you a big jump once the next PR update rolls around.

1. Buy Expired Domains
One quick and easy way to get a lot of link juice to your site quickly is to buy up high PR domains, or domains with a lot of backlinks, and 301 redirect them to your site.
This technique used to work really well, but has lost some of its effectiveness in recent years as people started to overuse it.
Instead, you can use its twin sister techniques of buying old high PR sites, putting up mini sites and linking to your site from there.

2. Target Links You Don't Have
Look at your link profile or use a backlink checker to see what kind of links you currently have. Try to get different kinds of links from the links you currently have.
Do you have a whole bunch of low quality, low PageRank links coming in? Then try to get a few high PageRank links.
On the other hand, if you have a few high powered links to your site already, you should try getting a bunch of lower quality links to your site instead.
Try to vary up your link profile so you cover the whole spectrum of links.

3. Launch a Viral Campaign
One way you can skyrocket your PageRank is through a viral linking campaign. Get your website to the front of a subreddit or get a bunch of upvotes on StumbleUpon, and the resulting links can quickly jump your PageRank by as much as two or three points.
Create some sort of controversial page that caters to the audience of an existing social bookmarking website. Write an attention-catching title and post it up. Rinse and repeat until a campaign gains traction.

4. Guest Blogging and Paid Blogging
Finally, you can use guest blogging and paid blogging to get in-context links to your website. It's arguable that in-context links (links that are inside the content of another website) are valued more highly by Google than any other kind of link.
If you can get guest posting gigs, this allows you to get these coveted links for free in exchange for your time and content.
If you can't get guest posting gigs, you can get a similar effect by using one of the many paid posting services online. Naturally, the higher the PageRank of the link, the more you'll have to pay.
These are a few different ways of getting your PageRank up quickly. Your PageRank in Google's eyes will go up first, then your visible PageRank will increase once Google rolls out its PageRank update. But then this is not all… In order to get long term results from your SEO efforts this year, you need to follow a set of proven, immutable SEO fundamentals.

Webmasters4 Immutable SEO Fundamentals You Must Follow The Rest Of 2013 by Carsonv(op): 10:09pm On Jul 07, 2013
In recent years, SEO has gone through many tumultuous changes. From the Panda update which uprooted many sites to the implementation of social metrics, it's clear that SEO ranking factors aren't staying stagnant. However, in spite of all these changes, the underlying fundamentals of SEO haven't changed.
These immutable fundamentals have been the same from the early days of SEO until now. In fact, they've only become more and more important as search engines have gotten smarter and smarter.
These are the four immutable laws of SEO.

Law #1: Content Is King
Google's goal since day one has been to help the best content on the web find its way to the top of the search engines. As Google gets smarter, it's only going to do this better and better.
Trying to game the system is not a very good long-term strategy. It's extremely, extremely rare for people to be able to game search engines for any real length of time.
Instead, the best way to get ranked in the long run is to provide content that people genuinely like and want to share. This will generate organic backlinks, which Google loves.

Law #2: Think Long Term
Short-term SEO thinking is not only ineffective, it's also extremely unhealthy.
People who try to get ranked in weeks rather than months inevitably get burned.
The methods you employ when you're thinking long term versus short term are different. In the long run, you'll lay much more solid foundations with long-term thinking than if you were just trying to get ranked as fast as possible.
Get in the habit of thinking in six months to a year in terms of your SEO goals.

LiteratureRe: False Pretenses <1ST POSITION, ROMANCE STORY OF THE YEAR AWARD, 2013> by Carsonv(m): 12:27pm On Jun 26, 2013
First of, very nice story! Got something naija proses rarely have...suspense! I was forced to read every word to the end so I don't miss a thing.

But somewhere within the story, Ise's word became something short of the Cambridge/Havard graduate and crme fela you described him to be. Not the part he conversated with Kenny in pidgin...well I guess you know what I mean. The senstences looked kinda everyday and colloquial.

All the same superb story! I'm abticipating the end already!

Lemme guess the end: Ise falls in luv with Kite and mama fights against it but the end they live happily eva after! grin

Then no one should make it a point that "men take advantage of women". Cos in essence what men do is "do more for the female

dasparrow: @Post

I really enjoyed reading this interview on bellanaija.com and I think Yvonne Nelson answered the questions in a mature manner. I personally think that this is why ladies should never offer up their bodies to the men they are dating except in marriage of course. Most courtships of nowadays are fueled by lust and not love and the men are just looking for sperm receptacles to empty their sperm into. So, ladies should be wise because this so-called love game of today is just all about people wanting to fornicate with each other.
Everytime women are that they're giving their body to men! Oh Puleease! The man gave his body, strength, time, sweat et all. You just took all else. Besides who said women don't want sex before marriage too? If men go on sex strike now, women will suffer!

NB: Ever asked yourself why there are more intimacy gadgets for women than men? #foodForThought

NYSCRe: Ex-Corpers, How Much Did You Save From Your Allowee? by Carsonv(m): 7:18pm On Jun 17, 2013
Well truth is saving is hard when you don't have a secondary source of income. I have a friend, she hasn't touched her alawi account cos popsy is always bucksing her up on a weekly basis. And she's living the good life...so no need to touch alawi.

I served in Cali with a ppa that paid me 30k. I didn't save per se. But I used the money to get things I needed, bought a laptop, got an int'l passport, got my transcript and other stuff I can't mention here. At the end sha I still came out with 100 grand.

Its not really in the saving but in actually using the saved money for something tangible. So if you're using your alawi for something worthwhile, fret not that you have no savings...you're actually better off to those that save to later go buy BB Q10 and iPhone 5 and a tab with it!

eonaiviv: I just received an email today for Saturday as well. I pray I pass it. Dont want to mess up ds opportunity.
Just read up as much new words...big words as possible! Or atleast learn how to answer synonyms and antonyms based questions. That's usually where people flop.
Then know your simple mathematics...algebra, ratios etc. And finally sentence correction.
And hopefully you'll come back here to tell us your succes news next week!

CelebritiesRe: Saka Porting To MTN Was A Mistake - Etisalat Boss by Carsonv(m): 12:32am On Jun 09, 2013
TechyGuy: I know "Etisalat youths" will never believe the info.
For your information, MTN has more new subscribers daily than almost all other networks put together (don't ask me where I got the stats, wink grin coolwink)
MNP is in favour of MTN as it stands, Etisalat is the biggest looser so far. By the way, it is not just Saka's ad, but MTN's strategic marketing and investment in infrastructure.

Right now:
MTN has over 45 million subscribers
Glo follows with 27 million
Airtel with about 27 million too
Etisalat with about 17 million

MTN has grown since the MNP launch and Etisalat dropped some figures. Major chunk of the figures dropped from Etisalat added to MTN base.
Mind you, I know Etisalat is highly needed in the industry. They are price crashers and also they force MTN and others to continually give promos and freebies.

Though Etisalat has the smallest subscriber base and infrastructure, they are giving MTN run for their money.
The only reason I'm still on MTN is the cheaper call rates to MTN numbers (the majority). You know that, I know that and MTN knows that.
On th issue of QoS, MTN falls flat on their belly. Don't argue based on the fact that they have majority of the market. If you want to control 51% of the telecom market be ready to install infrastructure that would deliver the QoS needed. Can you compare the subscriber base of Cingular, AT&T to MTN Nigeria? Yet these telcos deliver out-of-naija services! MTN Sucks...and I can't wait to port my call services from them. Cos currently they can't handle my data services. Etisalat rocks... Saka or no Saka.

Don't blame Saka though...man must wak!
CelebritiesRe: Saka Porting To MTN Was A Mistake - Etisalat Boss by Carsonv(m): 12:21am On Jun 09, 2013
Vires: So true !!!!!
For every 10 calls I get, 8 are mtn
Almost everyone I know that uses mtn, abuse, insult, curse them everyday
But would they drop their mtn, NOPE
The worst they do is have additional networks
Truly mtn have juju
MTN-Subsciber relationship is like an abusive relationship...you don't enjoy it but you just can't leave!
MTN still tops because:
1. They control a huge percentage of the market.
2. Since they have majority, they have cheaper ON-NET call rate which in essence is more economical compared to any FLAT tariff offer by any other network.
For other networks to be able to compete favorably, NCC has to bridge the wide gap between ON-NET and OFF-NET calls on the MTN Network. That's the solution to creating a truly competitive market...else we'll keep having the trend where the 'smaller' networks slash prices and MTN readjusts without losing sleep and still remains in profit.
Remember once when Vmobile did this offer (can't remember exactly)...but I think it was N1/min slash. People streamed to Vmobile...and it became tough to call MTN numbers with Vmobile line. Everybody was forced back to MTN!
