Business / Re: Central Bank Of Kenya Says Flutterwave And Chipper Cash Are Not Licensed by Carsonv(m): 6:02am On Jul 30, 2022
Usually this would’ve been a matter the government would’ve tried to intervene knowing fully that Fintech has been a major area of growth, FDI and good publicity for Nigeria. Knowing that Kenya Fintechs are a major competition in Africa.

But the inept government has no clue and cannot look past their nose and looting the country dry.

Education / Re: What Kind Of Wicked Teacher Is This? What Would You Do As A Parent? by Carsonv(m): 11:51am On Jul 27, 2022
Blessedmercy8:
Even though this is highly unethical, I still feel some parents need to be informed of some strange or akward behavior their wards exhibit in school.

“Behave like a human being” is vague and diverse. You can’t say that as a teacher. Of course there are kids with all kinds of behavioral deficiencies and anomalies. As a trained teacher you need to be precise with your evaluation.

What makes you think he/she doesn’t behave like a human being? That’s what you need to write in your assessment. But saying, “…doesn’t behave like a human being” portrays the teacher as lacking empathy, coherence of thought and effective communication. And these can get the teacher labeled as “not behaving like a human being”.

TV/Movies / Cee-c Clears The Air On The Controversial N45million Comment by Carsonv(m): 8:51pm On Feb 09, 2018
It's no longer news that CeeC's statement has been twisted, misunderstood and rehashed to make her look evil.

Yes we agree she's not the most outgoing housemate. Yes we know for some reason we're yet to find out, Tobi is so into her. Maybe he'll explain what he saw when the show ends. But the undue misinterpretation is totally uncalled for.

Here are the exact words she used in her statement:

"For me money is not important to but who I become. I know if I leave this house today or tomorrow without that N45million naira I know I'll make that more than 45 ...what is N45million. You can make it in a week if you're someone... "

We know that just one person will win the N45million but what you become after that is far more important. N45 million is a great deal of money, but should the rest 18 or 19 housemates who don't win it suck up and end the world of them? You can make that N45 million if you were someone who was focused on doing that.

Trust me there are people who make that money in a day. And when u hang around them for long, it becomes your frame of reference.

Though I'll say she exaggerates for emphasis but I believe that any of the housemates there can make that N45million even without winning the money.

It's all about what you believe.

If you believe you or you can't, you're right!

Let's cut the girl some slacks on that one please. We know where her wahala dey.

Well see what her Instagram account manager wrote.

What is wrong in being a debtor? I almost used to think there was sense in the brain of the person behind this handle.

But alas! Big English is never common sense!

Business / Re: See Two Sure Ways To Earn Income Online Without Spending Money by Carsonv(m): 3:15am On Mar 17, 2017
Anyone telling you that you can make money online without money is a lie. Truth is you can start with less money than in most other businesses. But the downside is that what would have taken you less than a year to achieve, you'd have to work CRAZILY for more time.

I started at zero about 3 years ago. I tried the no investment model and made $24 profit which was refunded afterwards. Fast forward to today, I just finished a product launch that grossed more than $12000. And i make $1500 on a vad month. And I know people who make $200k+ monthly (NIGERIANS LIVING IN NIGERIA). I'll get there though!

If you're planning to make money online and you can't work 17 hours a day...uncle gaan teach in that primary school across the street.

I got a lot I could share but, these kinda info can't be given out that way.

By the way Clickbank doesn't allow Nigerian affiliates and anything you do to get make you an affiliate is an underground hack and not a sustainable model for starting up your business.

The Gospel Truth You can take anywhere is this, "The real people making a killing online are SILENT". You need to work your way through some level of success to meet and know them.

*******MODIFIED*****

By the way you need money, a lot of it, to become an affiliate marketer. Don't buy into that crap!

To be successful at AM you need,
1. A responsive subscriber list. And on average it costs $1 to acquire one. You can ignore this, which I really discourage only if you can run badass Facebook ads or any other form of getting targeted traffic.

2. You need an AR (Autoresponder ). And last time I checked the cheapest will be about $15/month.

3. Then you'll need a domain.

4. You'll need an optin system. You can get free ones though.

5. You'll need to know how to setup a simple Web page or hire someone or have any of the drag n drop page builders like Clickfunnels.

So my guys Affiliate Marketing can't be done without money. Freelancing? Probably Yes! But you need patience and peace that passes all understanding.

Celebrities / Re: Let Igbos Pause On Biafra For Now - Charly Boy by Carsonv(m): 5:37pm On Jan 25, 2017
My thoughts about the Biafra idealogy succinctly put. You cannot defeat the enemy outside you have defeated the enemy inside. If Biafra is realized today, nothing will change...because we will carry the same mindset of divide and rule, corruption and nepotism over. South East should show they love themselves enough FIRST before looking for who hates them.

Investment / The MMM Solution! by Carsonv(m): 9:37pm On Jan 19, 2017
I have watched the threads about MMM come and it's really heartbreaking to see that a lot of people are going to lose substantial amount of money.

I have had my time of "Shey I told you" and I just wanted to finally lend a hand(or in this case an opinion).

First anyone who ever invested in MMM knew in their hearts that the system was unsustainable and would crash but no one thought it would come this fast. I never thought so too...but for whatever reason, it has. And we need to find a solution.

WHAT THE SOLUTION IS NOT!
Now I see a lot of people screaming MMM give me back my money. That's not a solution. MMM doesn't have your money...at least not all of it.
They(and their guiders) only have 10% of it. But the bulk of it is with fellow Nigerians who participated in the scheme.

So the solution is...
Let everyone bring back the money they got from the scheme and 're-invest'. Then the system will come back to life. This is the most practical and more tenable solution. Everyone bring back the money you took from the system so it can keep rotating and rotating and rotating.
But unfortunately most of you have used it for one frivolity or the other. And kudos to the few that actually used the money for anything meaningful.
But those monies are needed now,so if you truly want MMM back, then bring back the money into the pool.

OR

You go on a mass propagation and marketing, just like the way you all did when it started. Some people had to go into churches to get people to part with their moneys. Get new people to join MMM...and as the system works, those new monies will be used to offset your debts.

Where did all that marketing skills go to? To be honest, I never saw more unity than in the drive to propagate MMM.

That fire is needed now more than ever!

But as the remaining 167 million Nigerians are not ready to 'invest'...MMM Nigeria can expand to neighboring countries.

But sitting in your room, holding your money tightly close to you, and whining about some concerned Nigerian making a post about MMM will not bring the system back to life.

But on a second thought, do you want the system back to life, or do you just want your monies back?
Honestly, I think it's time for a reality check! The system is and has always been unsustainable...the death of it was inevitable.
So if it has suddenly shown the signs of death...I'd really advise we quit flogging the dead horse.

And cut our losses!

The resurrection of MMM again in Nigeria will be more disastrous!

Family / Re: A Frustrated Woman by Carsonv(m): 12:04am On Oct 26, 2016
Maaamaaa:

I want my child to have a normal family.

I don't know how deep my comment would have gone but I sincerely hope you read it.

I was in this same situation. Had this girl I love and wanted to marry but wasn't ready to marry just yet but somehow she got pregnant and I felt she did that to trap me. Long story short, though I controlled myself not to show how much I hated the situation it still showed.

I've handled it and we happy as ever.

Now your man is likely getting sad for 2 things
1. He feels you intentionally did it...and you forced yourself inot his life. Maybe you did but from experience it may not be for same reasons you did.
2. He's not ready to lose the emotional bachelor freedom to go after other women
And unmentioned 3
3. He's really scared of the financial pressure that may follow all this.

Now instead of fighting him, you should do the following :
1. Assure him that with the two of you fighting together you guys will overcome the future and coming challenges and the need to stick together. No matter how he feels you guys are in this together and need to work as a team else your loved are ruined forever.

2. Show him you don't actually NEED him to survive cos right now he feels he's the center of your existence. Be strong, live life, bounce back, cease crying, love your work, hustle like a boss lady. When he sees you holding your end he'll know he's actually just a bloody employee earning salary. And he might rethink his actions.

3. Support him emotionally too...whenever u see he needs it. Trust he'll need very often. And try to make him feel like nothing had changed, he can still be the whoever young chap he was and you can still be the sweet sassy lady or whatever you were. Just try to show him nothing much changes BTW you guys. ..it's a lie that will help. Remember fake it till you make it.

Then finally you guys need to hustle like never before.

My whole point is that you might need to be the bigger person right now till he comes around to take his rightful place. You guys are in it for the long haul...better just find a way to make it work than ruining the rest of your lives.

I know somehow you wanted the pregnancy but that's no longer necessary now.

The good thing that happened to me is that I'm doing way better than I was before the marriage and I love my wife like crazy. She's the most caring and selfless woman I've met and my baby girl is an additional bundle of joy.
So how you decide to handle this will ruin or lift your lives!
I wish you the best.

*Edited* I just saw people saying walk away. You're just in the first marriage test and you want to run? Please don't take that advice. Work on your marriage and your man. If you run you'll keep running.
P.S. This will most likely not be the last time you'll feel like running so hey prepared.

I'll flog my kids whenever necessary!
Education / Re: Corporal Punishment In Nigerian Schools, Any Alternative? (Video) by Carsonv(m): 4:45pm On Jan 07, 2014
My father was a teacher and whenever he flogged us, he made sure it made MEANING...real good lashing! But something surprising about him was that he never flogged his students...Never!

For me, flogging should be the last resort when all other means have been exhausted. Most of what helped me in life are the times my parents sat me down to talk whenever I did something wrong. I dreaded that part most.

Flogging made me timid growing up, I had to consciously reeingineer myself from its effect. Talk to your kids. Children know when their parents are saying something serious!

But don't forget the cane...when a paricular insubordination goes on repeatedly, it think the cane can put the kid aright.
