Foreign Affairs › Re: Zambian Currency Is Now Best In Africa After We Voted In A Good Leader. by Caseless: 4:35pm On Aug 02, 2022
SmartPolician:
Zambia has a population of about 18 million with voting population of about 9 million.

On the other hand, Nigeria has a population of over 200 million with a voting strength of nearly 100 million people.

Of the large number, a huge fraction is uneducated and poor. This means that politicians can easily influence their decisions with gifts and money. Nigeria, without mincing words, is in a deep mess and achieving the feat that Zambia has achieved is difficult (if not impossible).

That's why many people argue that this country should be divided so we can better manage our differences. People are easier to manage when they have similar beliefs and small in number. But then, such calls are always greeted with threats of war.
Unity is not uniformity. Breakup does not solve any problem. India - Pakistan - Bangladesh... These were part of India before and broke away and they're still same.

China and India are still working. We're not the most diverse people on earth. Quit the lazy excuse.

Politics › Re: The Misconception About Votes From Northern Nigeria by Caseless: 7:48pm On Aug 01, 2022
leksite120:
Your calculation is one-sided.
The same way North need just a region in South to win is the same way southern votes cannot secure a win without at least two regions from the North.

See it like this, if someone has the whole South votes and another person has the whole north votes, the northern person would win. Infact if someone has the whole South without having NW and NE support, he'll still not win.

Forget south, SW is the only vote power in south. The whole votes SE gave Atiku which is like 90% vote in the last election is just something a state like Kano can cover for one party, so imagine that.

I watched a documentary on CNN where they said Russia has been able to evade the sanctions because it was mining gold illegally from Sudan. In other words, according to the empty heads, it's Sudan's gold that is running Russian economy.
CNN are actually dumb at lying
those idiots are senseless.

The same Russian gold they imposed sanctions on could not have been the driver of Russian economy, if they put their thinking cap on.

Ruble is the only currency in the world doing well right now. Russia has been making 1 billion dollar every day since this war started and the demand for their currency has increased because they now sell in rubles and have discouraged capital flights(template we should use to protect our currency) .

Those said they can trigger a regime change in Russia are the ones feeling the heat in their countries. Boris Johnson is one of the casualties of this war. Wait until there's winter to see what becomes of Europe without Russian gas.

Some of them have defied the sanctions and gone on to order Russian gas.

You people should stop this debate.

Peter Obi attended a crusade. Show us a program organized that's that huge that Tinubu attended. Tinubu has to pray 5 times daily and that's what he's doing here. Peter Obi was not seen doing morning mass here for us to compare. At least, that's what he told us he does every morning.

Stop this nonsense.

Things are not looking good for the democrats. The last time Trump won, they blamed Russia. Now there's inflation, high cost of living and high energy cost due to the war in Ukraine, I'm sure they have enough reasons to blame Russia this time around.

I knew this war would cause a lot of political upsets in the west and here we are.

Once again, sanctions haven't worked, if anything, it boomerang on the imposers.

Of course, your intention is to use those photos, especially the first one, as an attempt to say he was a poor church rat before becoming a governor, unfortunately, you have failed. He was not a poor man before becoming a governor, and that first photo was taken while he was overseeing an environmental sanitation inspection back then.
so, he was a rich man before becoming governor?

And he messed up the chance to write his name in gold. He's the biggest '' moomuuu man'' *in asari's voice* to occupy such seat in recent time. Ortom is his comrade in that category.

No significant change in looks. He just changed from being a boyiboyi to a boss and he has a failure in Ochendo as a political godfather - so expect failure like he has been.

Peter Obi and Datti especially Obi need to identify a bit more with the North/Muslims.

His Campaign and his beliefs need to be a bit more Pro northern Masses.

Seen him in Churches not bad,I want to see him in Mosques and with more Northerner too.
if he has strategists, this should be his moves.

He hasn't been anywhere in the north (apart from Abuja of course) to consult. It's really poor for a contestant who needs votes from the north. He thinks the entire South will vote for him and the whole Christians are with him.

Obi, as far as I can see, no Igbo man in recent time has created a bit of national appeal in terms of politics like he has done.

I commend his 'doggedness' for deciding to leave PDP at the time he did just to create a political base for himself.

At least, even uf he does not win, he has a created a base upon which he can be considered a worthy candidate by major political parties un the next election 'cycle'. But before this can happen, igbo must use this election to make a statement that they're ready to have their own occupying that seat.

You don't gain presidency by threatening people. You gain by appealing and forming alliances.

cool

You guys have really tried. Even if you shut it down now, I don't think any discerning mind would 'arbitrate' in discountenance.

Give Nigerians till the eve if the election to register, those who won't register will not - we're that non-challant by nature.

You need time to prepare and print the PVC fir those who have registered - and you can't be printing and also registering at same time

What I think INEC should do is, they should make it possible for people to be able to register at anytime of the year to avoid this stamped we always have whenever there's an election.

Is it advisable to use these generators in such an enclosed place with no natural ventilation to cool off the heat? I'm not an engineering inclined person but I know big diesel generators with inbuilt noise cancellation boxes always have it open during operation. Kind of like it defeats the main purpose due to feasibility and sustainability anyway.
