It's time for change and Nigerian shouldn't relent. If the NLC and Co decided to sabotage the masses efforts as usual. I think people should insist and Occupy Nigeria. No Labour leader assisted the masses in taking Egypt leader off the thrown. Civil Society and the masses did. This is democracy and the Govt should listen to his people. Pls don't relent OCCUPY NAIJA!!!!!! |
I hate when some people compare developed world with an under developed world like Nigeria. The minimum wage in the US is $1,343/Month the average cost of PMS in the US is $3.38/gallon. Nigeria on the other hand Average monthly salary is $112/Month and with the removal of subsidy a gallon of PMS cost $3.50. So, a poor and under developed nation is even paying more than an advanced country like the US. So, where does the comparison comes in? |
Beaf:What makes them selfish? There's no continuity in Nigeria Govt. The only thing that has been consistent about the military leader and PDP led democratic Govt is Fuel subsidy removal. There's nothing like subsidy but an avenue for them to enrich their pocket. If the four refineries are working, cost of local production shouldn't be more than N35. What brought about subsidy? Corruption, since the Abacha Govt then realize it's more profitable to import exported Crude Oil. In fact, I could even remember some bad oil imported then, knocked engines. PDP have been there since 1999, what is GEJ going to do that his Mentor and Political father hasn't done. The same Ngozi promised all these nonsense during OBJ. I support Subsidy removal and my approach is as follows. 1. Borrow money and fix all four refineries. 2. Refine locally and there would be no need for subsidy. 3. Alternatively, Govt should fully deregulate the downstream sector and not in the business of fixing prices. They talk about foreign investors, do they think a reasonable company will invest in an unrest country. Abeg, Jonah fight corruption and insecurity in the nation and everything will follow suit |
kulutempa:Seconded |
No going back. Before any increase or removal of the subsidy, tet this Govt give room for negotiation and revert to N65/ltr. N65/ltr or Nothing!!! No money, Ngozi and Jona looking for money to steal because he knows no 2nd term. Don't be deceived, he's not a magician and 4years is not enough to turn things around and implement those mouth watery project. Ngozi promised all that during OBJ, what happened to the money they made from deregulation. Naija Wake-up!!! Even US, is still struggling to restore its economy but, all to no avail and that makes Obama look like a failure. It takes time to build but little time to destroy. No to subsidy removal. The Govt should go borrow money to fix the refineries. |
Nigerians, should not trust Jonathan. He's a f**king liar. What happened to the Ultimatum he gave to Dangote and Co. on the price of cement? Nobody takes him serious because he's a figure head and can be toss by beaf, Ngozi and Co. Don't let this f**ls deceive you here. They are beneficiaries of this Govt. Our struggle took GEJ there when the Cabal and Turai took over Aso Rock. So, GEJ shouldn't bite the fingers that fed him. It's only in Nigeria Govt the cart is place before the horse. Cut all arms of Govt expenditures by 80%. Let them live like public servant and not Kings. How would you trust a Govt that said publicly the subsidy removal will be sometimes in April and changed his decision overnight. People should be skeptical of such Govt. GEJ will only be there for 4years. What gave him the impression the Cabal would not take over after 2015. 4years is not enough to implement all their promises and there have never been continuity in Nigerian Govt. I think the protest tomorrow should be a call against corruption in all arms of Govt from local to Fed. |
Am Alone, take note of the advise above. I never expected you to disclose your interior beyond the tiling. I could recall what they did to me at the time I was building my house. We had the burglary and door fixed but somebody went in overnight and stole the generator without breaking doors. So, be mindful of what you post online. The web is like a real world. Some people like Me, Fhemmmy and the likes are here to learn while some are here to kill and steal from others. A word is enough for the wise. Don't give out your artisan's number, because those guys may screw you up. |
Spyder, it seems the Eastern States are not affected by this subsidy saga. I think other States should learn from you guys. There's lack of trust between the Government and the people. I want to continue work at my site but I had to tell my people to hold. I know people would get tired soon. |
@Dayo, No, they are Irhobo Jihadist from the SS. |
I think the next step is to cut the cost of running Govt. GEJ should also reduce Govt spending. Nigerian politician are making more than the US Politician. GEJ advocate should defend the raised argument. |
Ogbeni Am Alone, is this the end of the thread? Let's see how far you've gone. |
^^^Seconded |
It's unfortunate, most of you guys are calling for war and does not understand the consequences that follows. The useless Almajiri's that blast innocent souls are animals and will rot in hell. Animals don't even kill each other indiscriminately. I've visited some Northern state and have met indigene that are Christians. Religion or tribal wars is not a good war, because it will set Brother against Brother and Son against his Father. If you go down southwest, you will realize Muslims and Christians co-exist. If this blast becomes a warfare, that means most houses and family with diverse faith will be in trouble. There's something you guys doesn't understand. All these bombing is all about GEJ. The northerners are not happy an unbeliever like GEJ is ruling. I bet you, If GEJ leaves today and a Northerner takes over. Nigerians will be at peace again. |

^^^Colin Adua, are you an independent marketer? Those tiles are from the US; we can ship to Nigeria if there's a truthful and committed buyer. Those wood looking tiles are porcelain tiles and nobody should mistaken them for laminate or wooden floor tiles. |
