^^^kikeige, that's lot of space to cover. I will suggest porcelain tiles for the high traffic areas and ceramics for less traffic area. Porcelain tiles are more rugged making them ideal for harsher applications such as flooring. Also, because of their higher density, porcelain tiles are less likely to absorb moisture (0.5%) which makes them more durable and more resistant to staining. See attached pictures.

Check your email for more details.

Am Alone, without any prejudice, the current installation looks better than the latter. Sincerely, the guy tried and I felt bad you fired him, but claimed it has nothing to do with our comments. Please, re-hire that guy and give him total supervision. It's not as bad as you think.

@CASEYMONEY! You falied to pinpoint what's exactly wrong with the tiling
to substantiate your claim. And @ EGIN! standard ceramic tiles(NON-RECTIFIED)
don't need spacers.
Read my post again.
caseymoney:
^^^ Am Alone, @Sprumbaba has said it all. Like I said previously, you got good looking tiles but your tiler did a shoddy job. You need grout for the finishing (I guess, that's what your referring to white cement). Grout is meant to fill the spaces between the tiles but unfortunately, I couldn't see any space between the installed tiles. The tiles are not well aligned  (For your personal digest, the grout space are not uniform. The tiler should have used spacer as many suggested). . Casemoney first, I must say that your words were just too harsh to say DIY can look better that than. I have take my time to study the work done by the tiler. I agree he is not all that good. But I monitored this work myself and make sure he give me what I want. Like I said before, the tilling is not completed. What is left is for the joints to be filled with white cement with is normal/common. Even at that, you can't say its so bad. Because from what I can see from the picture and at the site, the work is perfect!!!! Wait till I send you more pitures of the finished works.

@ Egin!!!
Sometimes it feel to good to see people stand up for criticisms. . . . Casemoney criticism for me is not constructive as he could not pin-point what exactly is wrong will my tilling. Anyways regarding your claims that spacers were not use. And doing some more research on the matter, I have come to understand that some tiles just like the onces used in my bathroom comes with factory/company fixed spaces. So that no matter how close you lay the tiles there must still be spaces between them. Just like the tiles in my house. Again spacer or no spacer doesn't mean the job is not okay or done right!!!!!! Spaces in-between tiles is a thing of choice and should not be considered as a bad tilling job. Attached are picture of some bathroom and wall tiles done abroad and see for yourself. . . .  The black and white below have got now space and the white have got spaces as small as mine!!!!
THANKS GUYS!!!!!!!

My interior door are the imported china doors. And its of 2 types
One sells for 14k5 and the other sells for 17k5
installation is 2k5 per door and the fixing of the handle
But for the main entrance door
It is turkey and sells for 120k

Then I have another 4 feet door like that on inside the house
It was used for the lobby
I got that one 32k.
Where is your source for the doors?
Note all my doors are the roof surface onces(it is a little bit more expensive and doesn't change color) (Noted)

Am Alone, are your interior and exterior doors local made or imported? Can you provide the cost of your double entrance door and interior doors. I'm looking at shipping some tiles for my house. However, I'm being skeptical, based on the feedback i'm getting in regards to a good tiler. I'm willing to buy all materials needed which includes tile, thinset and grout for the installation of the tiles.

Guys I have just notice that the houses above has gutter roof that does not serve the purpose, a gutter roof should have pipes connected to it to  allow water flow to the drainage, those pics above don't have pipes.
Nigerians like good things but doesn't know the purpose of a gutter roof. The aspect they like is the beauty. That's the reason non of the attached houses have channels for water to the drainage.

I'm absolutely sure that this house is one of the most incredible houses I've ever seen. Of course, the pictures help a lot, but the shapes, the straight lines, the use of a few materials, elements that I believe are main points on the contemporary architecture, are all too evident on that house in La Finca, Spain.

PropertiesRe: Building A Luxury Block Of Flats: Day-to-day Updates (with pictures) by caseymoney(m): 4:50am On Jun 27, 2011
Building houses back home for some of us abroad might be a nightmare because we are not SMART enough. I have been able to build my house and also assisted a friend without stepping naija. Here's my strategies, I have friends, family and a Building Pro. I'm always a step ahead of these guys and even get things done much easier than people back home. I use divide and rule to get the best out of these people with internet, mobile phone and all other technologies in place. I think it's silly for one to invest several millions on a project and has nothing to show for it. This was how I started my project. I use a friend I trusted and knew he's comfortable and God fearing and not the ones that ask you for a dollar to eat. I wired money to my friend for exchange or do a wire from my account in the US to my Nigeria account. I tell my friend to scrutinize the builder for any excesses and my younger ones back home are also there to give me the progress report. I sent them phones, laptop and cameras before engaging them in such project. They thought it was a gift but It wasn't just a gift to me but an instrument to monitor all my project back home. They use the camera to capture work done and the laptop to attach captured photos to my ftp sites. I also have an Uncle I trust who left the US for Nigeria. I call him for help If I need to know the cost of building materials in Lagos. I also have my loving Mom who does the job with her phone without moving an inch. You don't have to entrust your money to just one person. However, some contractors in Nigeria are thieves. They take their profit from a project capital before the commencement of the project or use your money for a project they have abandoned due to misappropriation. They live beyond their means and tend to use peters money to complete Paul's project. In short, for those of you abroad like me willing to invest in the property business back home, get a good building contractor for your project and have somebody on ground to checkmate him because 80% of them are not reliable. You may go for young and growing contractors like Brabus and the likes who has a future and a career to pursue in the building industry and not those Big thieves that would use your hard earned money to chase married woman and drink guilder.  That's my own piece of advice.

@kalu_j, I fee you. You don't have to respond to Maria_P. She has nothing to contribute and the only thing she can do is post something controversial to get peoples attention. Guess what, the best reaction is to ignore such people. Please, nobody should respond to her post. Just put her on your ignore list.

Hope for the hopeless,

Jer 29:11
These words of comfort were originally spoken to the Israelites living in exile in Babylon. God assured them that despite their present difficulties, He had plans for them--plans for them to prosper and be restored. We don't share that historical context, but God's promise remains: He knows of our struggles and is working to help us prosper, even when we can't see it.

Job 4:6
Should not your piety be your confidence and your blameless ways your hope?

Job 5:16
So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth.

Enjoy your weekend!!!! smiley smiley smiley

@ Caseymoney!!! I'm A Looker By Profession grin grin grin grin
First I Don't See Any Good Reason Why I Will Want To Tell People That I'm This
And I'm That!!! Anybody Can Be Anything especially when all you need do is type it!!!

Before anyone interested in what I do for a living hear it! I will start with the fact that I am from
a wealthy home. Olodi-Apapa(where I Grow Up And Where My Family's House At!). Anybody living
around that area can testify. My family is not only rich, but we are the most famous grin grin shocked shocked
because of my grandfather that work with the government(I never come earth then o!!!) And was given
lots of land as compensation. Even our family compound(very big) was used as a court back where and my granpale the
judge!!!!

The above is not really necessary apart from the fact that it says, there are changes that I did make it grin grin grin
faster/quickly due to connections. Even if i no work, i go chop and I get lots of rooms wey fit accommodate 20 wives shocked
but na polygamy nai make me dey give them chance ooo/relocate to Ikorodu(I was @ Ikotun before. It was too close to
Olodi-apapa. Bob Come see visiting - lol). Because its the farthest place to that area(visit when my dad ask moi to)!!!!

I do C&F for a living @ tin can port Apapa!!!!(relocated to Ikorodu just mid last year) but the distance to Ikorodu na barrier. Sha I still dey run sh1t!!!!!
And I get two 18600 Litre Tankers(Me and my colleague own 1 And the other one I own alone).
I entered the business Early Last Year With The Company Name; Soprano OiL & Gas Ltd.

That same work, I don do am for two years wey I no get better pay at all
Later later the table turn around!!! That Is Why I Always Say ; No Be Him Wey Dey Work,
But Na Him Wey THE GOOD LORD SHOW MERCY!!

Oya make orna start dey take pictures na grin grin grin cool cool cool cool
@least you don get idea where the word 'AM ALONE' came from cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
You don't have to tell me who your father was. All you need to tell Colin Adua is you inherit your wealth and yet working hard to sustain. I also grew up in that same Olodi Apapa. Our family house and street is still there. My Maternal Grandfather's street is Alhaji Adebola Street and our family house not far from God dey Cinema off Idewu street. We have properties all over Tin-Can area (Olodi Apapa axis). Make you no come do us shakara here ( Just kidding!!!). I didnt inherit any wealth but got the best legacy a parent could give his offspring. "Education". Precisely, with your response and detailed explanation, Colin Adua would have a rethink if he's trying to do something stupid to acquire wealth overnight.

It will be better and cheaper if you have container going to Lagos. I bought tiles from the US and used them to fill in the blank spaces in one of the containers my humble shipper shipped sometime back. I spent a little shy of $1100 to purchase ceramic tiles and the tiles were enough to cover everywhere in a 3 bedroom house. Like I said, it will only be justified cost wise if you have a container going to Nigeria.
@jerryben12, thanks for your contribution. what do you think about the sanitary wares. Do you think it worth buying it in the states, please advice.
@ Am Alone, thanks for your contribution. Let me know how much the marble would cost and give me the name of the toilet ware you bought so I can insist on that quality. Im not visiting soon, but my wife would and we need the house completed before she arrives. Send the prices privately to my email. I appreciate you.
