Car Talk / Re: Kia Rio No Get Airbag???(with more pics) by cassidy(f): 11:04pm On Apr 17, 2010
@ aktunde

point of correction Kia Cerato has air bag, the ones sold in Nigeria except you buy a base model
Car Talk / Re: Kia Rio No Get Airbag???(with more pics) by cassidy(f): 11:02pm On Apr 17, 2010
Well i use a Kia Rio at present and it has no air bag which is no fault of the producer. I can tell u authoritavely that even Kia Picanto comes with air bag and alloy rims but the price you will be getting that for will be like getting a toyota yaris. So in order to make it more affordable for Nigerians this cars are stripped off some (important) specifications so that someone like me can be able to afford it.

So it is a simple marketing strategy sell a cheaper spec against the established branded name cos personally if Kia rio and Toyota Yaris cost the same amount i will surely buy the toyota.

My slogan has always been that it is better to buy a cheap new car than to buy an established brand name car that is second hand!!!!

I am married to one but i can tell you from experience it is not exactly exciting but it gives you a deep sense of peace cause you know your man is not out there chasing skirts.

I have come to the conclusion that men either chase work or skirt, and i prefer the former
Politics / Re: President Jonathan "demotes" Aondoakaa To Minister Of Special Duties by cassidy(f): 10:17pm On Feb 10, 2010
The Bobo "Acting President" surely knows how to move fast against the backdrop of Baba-Go-Slow

lets see what "Dora" will be rewarded with after all she saw these change coming and decided to pitch her tent with the then VP by calling for Baba-Go-Slow's transfer of power. Remember Adedibu's words about her, hmmmm who says old men lie
Politics / Re: Dora Akunyuli Asks Yardua To Step Down! by cassidy(f): 11:16am On Feb 08, 2010
i cant be fooled by "DORA" whom i have always known to be an oppurtunist since her days in NAFDAC, the hand writing is now clear on the wall that Yar'dua will not be coming back as the president and now she wants to pitch her tent with the next likely president.

it is such a pity that Adedibu's words about her are now coming to light.

When one of your own is wrongfully held back at the Airport for no concrete reason then you will know that Nigeria is just a Country lead by people without foresight.

Sumtime in September 2007 my husband coming in from d middle east (where he had gone to conclude a business deal with 2 other Nigerians) was held back for 2 days by SSS and what explanation did dey give him - that is name sounds like a terrorist's name (funny).

He was arrested (detained) without being able to make contact with any1 cos his phones where collected. We now had to make contacts with sum people who got him out and SSS said his was a case of mistaken identity but i tell u from den till now each time he travels out he is still held back at the airport minimum 30minutes.

Then you wonder what kind of country are we leaving in?
Car Talk / Re: Please Can A Kia Picanto Transit Between Lagos And Port Harcourt by cassidy(f): 1:14pm On Sep 24, 2009
From my own experience it is better to buy a cheap brand new car dan any tokunbo brand. My husband uses his Kia Picanto to ply Abuja - Owerri route regularly and ve not had any problem maybe because he does his scheduled service on time (i dont know) but i know Kia/Hyundai Products are cheap and reliable that is if u call 1.4million cheap. I use a Kia - Rio and equally ve not had any problem with it for the past 1 and half years.

The problems with a lot of drivers in Nigeria is in-patience, u see a pothole/bad road instead of avoiding it or go over gently most drivers just speed over dem. No matter how great a car is, if proper maintenance and careful driving is not adhered to it can collapse even on the day of purchase

In all honesty u dont need a marriage certificate to chang your name, just go to any print media and give them your details. You are required to pay certain amount, i did mine with dailytrust newspaper and payed N100 per word.

Afterall islamic weddings dont ve marriage certificate

the issue at hand here is the cold reception Hilary got, Nigeria's failing State is a different issue totally
Politics / Re: Hilary Clinton Gets Cold Reception From The Federal Government. by cassidy(f): 10:09am On Aug 13, 2009
We should all remember that Hilary Clinton is just a minister and u dont expect the President to go welcome her at the airport d best she deserve is for a minister to welcome her even at that it is only protocol and not binding, dat is why they have an ambassador here who is suppose to take care of their affairs like Robin did.

Remember the Abacha days when dey banned Nigeria Airways from flying in the British airspace he retaliated by banning British Airways from the Nigerian airspace and alas who had the worst hit, d british of course.

Maybe it is a good way to start - learning self respect then they will know we are a force to reckon with!!!!!!!!!!!

it took so long for d church to be completed as against d mosque cos of d different denominations of christain, argument of which denomination would it belong to --- catholics, anglican, protestant, deeper life, several pentecostal churches ----------------
Religion / Re: Hurray! Pastor David Oyedepo (jnr) Wedding Today! by cassidy(f): 4:04pm On Jul 29, 2008
Baby I simply marvel at your ignorance. So you feel it is only a weeding that is highly publicised that would pull such a crowd? How wrong you are! Just pray that God will use you as a vessel that will touch and affect people's lives positively then you will know that you don't have to advertise in the dailies for people to know you want to celebrate, five people is enough to carry the news round the world. Even if you don't want an elaborate one, those you have made impact in their lives will want to be part of your happy mioment even when they are not invited. So forget moderation in this context because you can't drive your well wishers away can you? And as for the followers feeling oppresed i strongly disagree with you except of course a follower who feels he can never be greater than his leader. Have a blessed day

let me give u an example with my wedding, my husband has lot of friends and well established ones whom he too has affected their life in more ways than one positively. when we were planning our wedding last year because he knew dat if his friends get enough notification they will want to blow it out of proportionand he wanted a quite wedding, d first thing he said to me was dat we were not goin to print invitation cards, dat settled i tell u thursday preceeding the saturday we got married was when my husband sent messages to his friends at 1am so dat there will be no room for any planning and the wedding went well.

so i assure  u the only reason people have overcrowded wedding is when it is being annouced

Religion / Re: Hurray! Pastor David Oyedepo (jnr) Wedding Today! by cassidy(f): 12:44pm On Jul 28, 2008
@weebee

D only reason any wedding will pull crowd (usin ur lang) would be one dat was highly publicised. Everyone is free to have their wedding as it so please them but as a man of god i believe thing shld be done in moderation so dat ur followers dont feel oppressed.
Religion / Re: Hurray! Pastor David Oyedepo (jnr) Wedding Today! by cassidy(f): 8:57am On Jul 28, 2008
well said, why shld a church dat is known to have monthly mass wedding now choose a day for the bishop's son. i thot we all are equal in the sight if God. remember when his father died (oyedepo's dad) it was annouced and celebrated in church meanwhile this is the same church that says they dont annouce the obituary of their members because dey only celebrate the living.

what does it all say dat the bishop people are more special than d people dat enrich them (followers) cos lets face without the church offering d bishop will be no where.

abeg lets lot all not lose focus religion is between u and God, and not the measurement of ur wealth
