An Enugu based lawyer and journalist, Chijioke Okibe, has revealed his displeasure after seeing some cows grazing openly at the "highly-secured" Michael Okpara square in Enugu state. According to him, the popular Okpara square which is used for series of top events in the state - is not open to citizens who want to exercise there but is allegedly opened to cows for feeding.

Below is what he shared on Facebook;

At Okpara square Enugu Cow right is superior to human rights .

It is ironical that the gates of Okpara square are thrown open to cows and sheep every morning but locking human being out from entering to exercise but I don't think the authorities in Enugu are aware of this development. Let human right at okpara square be returned to be superior to that of cows, this we ask in Jesus Name, Amen. We are worried that the duty of stern looking security personnel at the Okpara square gate is simply to prevent people from going in to exercise only for the same security to open the gates for cows to go in and graze. Is it part of the bane of third worldism? Let us think about this or Gburu gburu will hear it....

It would have been a sad moment for the family and friends of Pastor Dave Ogbole who was yesterday involved in a ghastly motor accident along Gboko road while coming for the KSS Cultural festival in Gboko, Benue state. The pastor who was driving a white vehicle - collided with another car on the highway.

The pastor who was rushed to the hospital after the accident sustained a minor fracture on his first fonicum bone (sic) and a dislocation on his left ankle, after undergoing an X-ray.

Tinubu's First Daughter Welcomes Bouncing Baby Boy After Years Of Marriage

Congratulations are in order for the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, Chief (Mrs) Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, who has welcomed a bouncing baby boy after many years of waiting. The baby was reportedly given birth to on Monday, December 25th. Both the mother and baby are in good health, according to reports.

Chief (Mrs.) Folashade Tinubu-Ojo is the first daughter of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and is married to Hon. Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo, a member of the House of Representatives.

The Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mr. Onofiok Luke, has revealed his excitement after meeting his former classmate Ndotke Micheal, who was and is still very intelligent. The lawmaker also revealed how he tried to connect with man and it took him 26 years for that.

What a great reunion. We use to compete fiercely in academics at the primary school, some of us had to change our handwriting so as to write like him. He was and still is a very intelligent guy. We took a decision to go the same Secondary School, Lutheran High School Obot Idim, but sometime at about our JSS3, we returned to school and he never showed up again till we completed high school in 1994 and 1995, all effort to connect with him proved abortive until last Tuesday when we established contact and today we had a wonderful reunion after about 26 years.

This guy was a great challenge to us all in the class. He taught some of us mathematics.

He is a great guy.

Very excited to meet with you again, Ndotke Micheal.

My thought: how I wish death were to be like this, where we can get to meet our loved ones again on earth after a while.

A vehicle transporting passengers fell off a bridge at Bassa local government area in Kogi state. According the driver veered off the bridge and fell into a shallow river in the area. No one died in the accident as the occupants sustained minor injuries.

Some Nigerians have taken to social media to condemn Hausa movie actress Rahama Sadau after revealing she is not a virgin. The beautiful actress promised to answer her fans truthfully during a question and answer session conducted recently on her Instagram page.

One of her male fans asked her whether she is a virgin.

While many Nigerians are celebrating the festive season, a young girl has been left injured after being hit by a commercial bus at Abakpa Market in Enugu state.It was gathered that the speeding bus reportedly failed brake and rammed into the girl who was standing close by before crushing her leg in the process.

The victim was rushed to the hospital by passersby and witnesses who were at the scene.

A 24-year-old girl was reportedly arrested by police after a gun owned by her boyfriend was found hidden under a seat in a cab. According to reports, the girl was 18 years at the moment of her arrest which happened in 2011 when she left for a party with her boyfriend not knowing he had concealed a gun underneath the seat.

The lady was freed last week after six years of awaiting trial at kirikiri prison in Lagos as her boyfriend was convicted for unlawful possession of firearm.

HER STORY

Beautiful Amanda was 18 as at 2011, she left me in SARS custody and I thought she was gone. Later saw her in 2012 in Kirikiri female prison during one of our Prison Fame Talent Hunt Rehearsal.

After I was brought back from Police College Clinic Ikeja, I was giving a bed to sleep at the corridor. Right there in cell 3, I saw Amanda, young and beautiful and was tempted to ask` her crime. She told me all that happened.

'Amanda a student of Lagos State University on 24th December, 2011 left for a party with her boyfriend. They stopped a Taxi and entered.

At a police checkpoint, one of the passengers sitting close to Amanda's boyfriend told the police he noticed one of the passengers was hiding something under the seat . The police searched him, searched the car and discovered a Gun (Pistol). Amanda's boyfriend hid it.

Driver and all the passengers were taking to the police station and they all wrote statement. Driver was released and the other passengers but Amanda and her boyfriend were detained for further investigation.

Case transferred to SARS Ikeja and charged for Conspiracy/Armed Robbery. Though the boy confessed to be a cultist and also told them Amanda knows nothing about the gun or know his cult activities.

She said to me "At night, they will call me out to question me about my boyfriend. From there he (IPO) demanded for sex. My refusal to give in landed me in kirikiri'

Last week, Amanda was freed after Six (6) years Awaiting trial, boyfriend convicted for Unlawful Possession of Fire Arms.

Yesterday, she came to visit to say "THANK YOU"

A distraught man identified as Sylvester Ajodo has taken to Facebook to mourn his close friend who was killed on Wednesday, December 20th. According to Sylvester, his friend Ojimah Ohiemi Monday, was killed after he was allegedly shot severally by policemen along Lokoja-Ajaokuta road in Kogi state.

The circumstance surrounding the death of the deceased is yet to be unraveled as at the time of filing this report. May his soul rest in peace.

It's a sad moment for the family and friends of former Senior Special Assistant to the Bayelsa Governor on Youth Development, Torukori Nasko Egei, who died tragically on Friday in Bayelsa state. According to his friends, the deceased was warming up to contest in the Bayelsa state assembly as his popularity continued to grow before his demise.

The married man and a father of two children was found dead in a room at Aridolf hotel in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital. He was said to have died in his sleep just few days to Christmas.

Some of his colleagues think that someone or a group of people had a hand in his death. May his soul rest in peace.

A Nigerian man is today celebrating one year of survival after he was attacked by a policeman, one Francis Haruna, who descended on him with his gun in Akwa Ibom state. The policeman attached to First Bank broke the man's head while hitting him with his gun.

December 21st 2016, remains memorable to me, many who saw me on that day had given up hope on me, they all thought my end had come.

Mr Francis Haruna a mobile police officer attached to first bank of Nigeria Abak road branch tried his gun hitting skills on my head and broke the fine tiny head, thereby sending me to the land of pains and briefly to the land of attempted death.

Some members of the Nigerian police force tried to cover up their colleague but thanks to those honest police officers who had refused to be biased and sentimental, my case was a clear case of attempted murder by an officer under the influence of alcohol, the court shall make her verdict in due time..

After the neuro surgery, I survived, amidst all odds, I couldn't walk, I couldn't see, I had pains living with me, in my spinal cord but even before today December 21st 2017 being exactly one year after, God had change my story,

I got the priviledge of being refined by jide taiwo and co Estate surveyors and valuers they had polished and develop my real Estate skills,

i went for NYSC Orientation, stayed in camp and participated in all her trainings, stood under the hot sun and early morning harsh cold, of Niger state and I did not collapsed.

It would have been my memorial service but God change things
