A Nigerian lady can't seem to contain her excitement ahead of her wedding to her longtime friend and sweetheart. It all started as a joke 10 years ago,he met me in my mum's shop for the first time and told me he will marry me, that was love at first sight for him, ever since then anywhere he see me he refers to me as (my wife) after sometime we lost contact until when he came back in 2014 but we did not communicate much then fast forward to 2016 he searched for me and found me at the appropriate time and to the glory of GOD it is now a reality...finally getting married to my missing Rib.......princess&francis..

A young man was gruesomely killed near Kwankwasiyya Stadium in Kano state after a heated fight. According to reports, the deceased had a conflict with another group of boys following a disagreement as they clashed and fought there in public.

In the course of the fight, the boys were said to have brought out a knife/dagger and stabbed the young man to death..

The perpetrators have been arrested and are currently in custody, according to reports.

Ethiopian Airlines, on Saturday made history as it transported its passengers from the Bole International Airport Addis Ababa to the Murtala International Airport Lagos on a Boeing B777-300 ER plane operated by an all-female crew.

The crew was made up of Captain Amsale Gualu (who commanded the flight), First Officer Tigist Kibret, and 11 cabin crew members. The flight is the first international flight to be operated by an all-female crew to Nigeria.

The 391 passengers on board the ET 901 flight that lasted approximately four hours, thirty minutes applauded the crew during take-off and after the plane touched down in Lagos.

On arrival in Lagos, the flight was welcomed with water cannons which preceded a ceremony to welcome the historic flight.

The Chairman, House Committee on Aviation, Mrs. Nkiru Onyejeocha, commended the Captain and the rest of the crew, saying that their successful flight from Addis Ababa to Lagos is proof that women can achieve so much if given the opportunity.

An outrage has been sparked online after some Igbo leaders paid homage to the leader of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and Aare Ona Kakanfo designate, Gani Adams at his residence recently in Lagos.

The Igbo leaders who have been identified as; Eze Ndigbo of Ikeja, Mr Uche Dimgba; the Eze Ndigbo of Gbogbo, Mr Livinus Chimezie; Eze of Coker/Aguda, Mr Jude Ezego; Eze of Ojodu, Mr Augustine Ebisi; Eze Peter Umeh of Mushin, Odiolowo, Iganmu land, Ejigbo, Agbado Oke odo and the Eze of Iba among others - visited Gani Adams as they pledged to work with him.

Now some online users have reacted to this development as they labelled the visit a "shame and disgrace" to the Igbos because the visit has no purpose. See different reactions below;

Pictured is a young lady who has reportedly been in active domestic by her baby daddy whom she had been living with. The young lady identified as Samuel Gloria who is from Delta State but resides in Lagos - is said to have been maltreated and brutalized by one Sanni Olalekan; her baby daddy who got her pregnant in 2009.

The man is said to have beaten the woman to the point of almost killing her before she was sent away. Now the distraught woman is looking for a way to get back her son whom she was stopped from seeing by the father.

Please, kindly pay attention to this: A young lady has been in active domestic violence since 2009 till date. Her name is Samuel Gloria with phone number: 080xxxxxx (available on request), she’s not on Facebook neither a JLAA member, she’s from Delta State but reside in Lagos. I do not know her but she newly packed to my area that was how I got to know her ordeal, her place is adjacent to mine.

Her story, her pain and suffering is as follows: I have observed her several times, she feels sad, defeated, rejected and humiliated always, one day I called her to asked what the problem all about, she narrated she was married (since 2009) to one Sanni Olalekan with phone number: 080xxxxxx (available on request) of Adamson street Ille-Ile bus stop ketu Lagos.

guy got her pregnant 2009 and since then hell was let loose, she always received heavy beating from the guy to an extent she fainted one day and she was rushed to the hospital. This made her to run away but later he pleaded with the help of people she came back believing he has changed without knowing he has become Anthony Joshua (the boxer).

The last incident that happened was on May 3rd 2017 when he wanted to strangulate her to death; it was her neighbors who saved her life that very day. The man sent her away and stopped her from seeing her only son of 7 years. She said she wants the boy to stay with her and the father to be paying some money monthly for his upkeep.

She said her son sent message across to her through her friends that he cannot stay with his father but with her mother. She concluded in heavy tears….

A Nigerian lady, Annie John Leyii, has took to Facebook to mourn her good friend who was stabbed to death yesterday night in Abuja metropolis. The lady recounted how the deceased helped her and drove her round town during her visit to Abuja for her Call to Bar screening.

On the 8th day of November 2017 when I went to the Nigerian Law School, Bwari, Abuja, for my Call to Bar screening with my friends Oluwakemi, Soty, and Ovundar, it was in Maigemu’s car we drove. That was the first day I met him.

Subsequently, he became the cab-guy that took us everywhere we went. When I visited my brother Fidelis at Baze University, it was Maigemu who drove me to and fro. He waited patiently while I had a walk and a chat with my brother. I remember introducing them to each other. He never complained. Maigemu was always patient. He was always available!

On the 11th of December 2017 when I arrived Abuja at about 11pm, it was Maigemu who picked me up from the park and took me home. We got home quite late, bargained the price for a while, and he accepted what I gave without complaints!

He picked me up on the 13th of December from Soty’s house to the International Conference Centre in Abuja where I was called to the Nigerian Bar & arrived just in time after the call to take me and Ngwu Jennifer to the Supreme Court for our enrollment. On our way home that night (my friends and I) in Maigemu’s car, his car broke down and we were picked up by another driver but stuck around long enough so he could fix his car.

Maigemu, our cab guy turned friend, the same person I laughed with yesterday, saw yesterday, touched yesterday, had conversations with yesterday, was stabbed to death last night - 14th December 2017. How does a person go from being full of life, energetic & strong to dead, lifeless, immobile, non-existent?? How does anyone tell a story such as this? That someone you already made plans with for tomorrow will not be showing up because his lifeless body is being carried right now by people he may have been stronger than while he lived to his hometown where he’d be laid to rest?? How?? Help us Lord....

Prince Aminu Sanusi Lamido, the first son of His Highness Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II and the grandson of the late Emir Ado Bayero, has become a police officer.

Prince Aminu born in 1991 joined the Nigeria Police after he graduated from University of Buckingham united kingdom with Bsc accounting after which he left for Riyad the kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he studied Arabic before coming back to Nigeria and did his NYSC in Lagos.

The prince then joined the service of the Nigeria Police, Plateau Academy where he passed out with the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

It could be recalled that the ASP's late grand father, Emir Ado Bayero was a police officer before he joined the diplomatic work, then became the emir of Kano.

Congratulations to the Kano royal family, particularly his highness.

A new born baby was rescued alive after being thrown into a gutter in a remote area in Potiskum area of Yobe State.. The baby who was reportedly thrown into the hole by the mother - was saved by some residents in the area. The baby was cleaned up and is currently being taken care of by some well meaning citizens.
