It was a joyful moment earlier today after a woman in labour put to birth through the help of good spirited women at Akwa Ibom Plaza in Uyo, the state capital. Massive crowd who gathered to watch was happening - jubilated and rejoiced as the woman gave birth to a bouncing baby boy.

According to reports, both the baby and the mother are alive and in good condition.

It was a show of shame in Onitsha area of Anambra state, after a policeman parked by the roadside to attack and molest a young man for insulting his "unique" car. In a video footage sent exclusively to National Helm, the policeman can be seen chasing the young man after stopping him from a motorcycle.

The young man revealed how he was coming back from Fegge area after buying goat head popularly known as Isi Ewu in Igbo language - when he spotted the policeman driving his car. The young man who was on a motorcycle/Okada - said 'Imagine what this man is driving', not knowing that the policeman heard him.

Immediately, the policeman stopped his car and confronted the young man - asking him why he insulted his car.

The policeman hit the young man with the gun multiple times and even cocked the gun as he threatened to shoot him before the young man took to his heels and fled for his life.

Guess they were meant to be with each other. A young man who got married to his longtime sweetheart in Imo state - has shared a brief insight to the journey of their love story. The new husband, Excel-galaxy Ajah Anayo, tied the knot glamorously to his partner, Amarachi Uka-kalu, on Saturday, November 18 in Owerri, Imo state, as he revealed how they met in the same school, met in same fellowship, did internship in same company and are currently serving in same state as Youth corpers.

Excited Excel took to his Facebook page to share photos from their wedding as he wrote;

This is quite disheartening. A man has been left in sorrow and lament following the unfortunate situation he found himself in. The man identified as Mr Ini Emmason John from Ikot Ebok in Essien Udim, Akwa Ibom state - was recently blessed with a set of twins (a boy and a girl). Unfortunately, his wife died a week after giving birth.

The man who now carries his babies around - is now soliciting for help from spirited individuals to help him afford proper medical care for the newly born babies because they have not received any health treatment since birth.

The suspected leader of a gang known as the "Great Men" Mr. Chinedu Akpunonu (AKA Obrocho) that allegedly masterminded the shooting in St. Philips Catholic Church, Ozubulu, has opened up to his counsel Okechukwu Ikenna and narrated how the shooting was carried out in Ozubulu.

Recently, the Anambra State Police Command paraded four suspected members of a deadly gang (The Great Men) including their leader Mr. Chinedu Akpunonu (AKA Obrocho) who confessed to have masterminded the Ozubulu massacre that had 13 people killed and about 22 injured on August 6.

Chinedu who further confessed to have never sent his boys to attack the St. Philips Catholic Church that led to the shooting of the congregations said: "our target was Bishop, I sent my boys to get me bishop, and when they went to his house and could not find him, they decided to check him in the church and after they realized Bishop had left the country back to South Africa they resorted to killing members of his family which resulted the careless shooting in the church.

One of the suspects, 44-year-old Vincent Ike condemned the killing and disassociated himself saying it wasn't in their plan but the boys overreacted.

The engineer, Alex Ephraims from Imo state who became an online sensation after constructing a 'made in Nigeria' combatant vehicle by using locally available materials - was recently spotted with his unique engine in Imo state. A Facebook user shared photos of the man explaining to his admirers the functions of the specially made vehicle as it attracted attention in the area

Ephraim was trained abroad and returned home to use his talents to impact the society positively. His workshop where he designs vehicles and builds them - is one of the few automated and mechanized ones in Owerri.

According to reports, this is Ephraim's third design....

A young man was killed after being attacked by his friend in Gusau, the capital city of Zamfara state. According to reports, the sad incident happened following a heated quarrel between the friends before one was attacked by the other with a sharp knife. People in the area reportedly confirmed that conflicts broke out among the friends before one was stabbed in the chest with a knife.

The victim's corpse has been taken to the mortuary, while the suspect was handed over to security agents.

A baby boy has been reportedly abandoned at Oredehin Street, behind APC Secretariat at Oke Ado, Ogunpa area, Ibadan. According to an eye witness account, the corpse of the baby is still laying unclad beside the Ogunpa River. Relevant authorities are urged to quickly intervene.

Scores of persons have been confirmed dead after a bomb blast hit Adamawa Mosque. Reports say, a teen suicide bomber was among the early morning worshippers in a Mosque at Mubi, Adamawa State who later detonated explosives, killing over 15persons and leaving about 30others with various degrees of injuries.

The suicide attack by the teenage boy after early morning prayers at the Mosque is said to have claimed the lives of at least 30 persons in Mubi, adamawa State.

According to the adamawa State Police Command, the suicide attack occurred around 5:20am local time, at Kunu Araha, a suburb in Mubi North.

It was allegedly triggered by a yet to be identified teenage boy who set off the suicide vest he was wearing.

A young man identified as Abdulmalik Kabir Yaro, has died after he was allegedly beaten by a gang of boys in Malumfashi Local Government Area in Katsina State. According to Maiwada Dammallam, the young man passed away on Monday morning (yesterday) after he was attacked by the gang for trying to prevent them them for seeing his younger sister.

YET ANOTHER SENSELESS MURDER

This is Abdulmalik Kabir Yaro, a wonderful son of my friend from childhood. Abdulmalik lost his younger brother to leukemia about 4 weeks ago. This morning he’s dead, killed (read, executed) by a local gang. Abdulmalik’s offense which earned him death sentence in the court of this gang was his effort to stop the wayward gang from seeing his young sister who’s hardly the age of courtship.

The gang somehow cornered Abdulmalik and beat him up to pulp yesterday. He was rushed to the hospital in coma and gave up the ghost today around 11 am. This is not in Katsina, Kano, Lagos or Port Harcourt, this happened in the heart of Malumfashi, my sweet serene hometown. I’m devastated!

That the victim was my son while my hometown was the theatre of this ungodly violence, made it even more disturbing. That it’s another crime induced by passion and possibly drugs when Nigeria is debating yesterday’s callous murder of a young man by his wife in a case of domestic violence made it even more tragic and cause for concern.

My heartfelt condolence to the parents of Abdulmalik for the tragic lost of another promising son when yet to overcome the pain of an earlier bereavement. Allah ya jikanshi da rahama.
