southsouthking:It is “respond if you please”. Not please respond. |
INEC ad-gov staff as part of their training should be told that they will lose all their allowances for any altered or mutilated EC8 form. This will cause them to count and recount and take extra care when recording votes on the EC8 form. This is a reflection of the sloppiness of the products of our school system. Most of them are corpses. Truth must be said. No surprise most of them don’t get good jobs. Too much sloppiness, anyhowness, lack of thoroughness and attention to fine details. |
Don’t deceive yourself. While PDP is no doubt the no2 party, PDP is dead. Fayose predicted this 3 years ago. He said PDP will win local elections but as a national force they are gone! All PDP has done is win a local election. If PDP is going to stage a comeback, it certainly won’t be for 2027. Everybody has that dumb cousin who lives in an alternate universe and always says daft things or outright lies. For example he has a story of how he once travelled from Lagos to Ibadan in 10 minutes…..that’s Olawepo Hashim. |
blamingthedevil:You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure this out. I have been saying this on Nairaland for at least 2 years. |
Sccarrr:Foolish elders! |
When we say, having 30 governors is not joke, they say a governor has only 1 vote. Wike is the governor of FCT, he didn’t vote because he is registered in Rivers, yet he delivered a landslide and never before victory for APC. If you like continue to listen to clowns. All noise and no strategy. 6 chairmanship elections in FCT. Obi only campaigned for the one with an ibo woman as vice chairman ignoring the indigenes and the other 5 councils. We will all learn this politics by force. Toh! |
sms4sure:It really is unfair to refer to Wike’s politics as Agebro politics. It totally obscures the reality that he is a master of politics, structure and grassroots mobilization. Agbero politics is usually associated with violence. Ironically that was the politics that characterized the Obasanjo era. If understanding and connecting with the grassroots is what you call agbero politics then you are basically insulting the masses. Wike is a master of politics because he understands the game. Second only to the Jagaban himself. I have been saying this for a while now that like him or not, when it comes to politics in Nigeria, after Tinubu it is Wike. No one even comes close. People also seem to forget that apart from understanding the game…one thing that separates Tinubu and Wike from others is that they actually deliver in governance on things that matter to the masses. |
A few weeks ago, I posted this. casualobserver: |
avalancheMedia:Funny that an Hour and a half after you posted this signed and stamped form EC8 it has not appeared on the IREV portal. Results from PU 39-44 are all on IREV except this altered PU 42. It’s only this your PU 42 with results for ADC clearly altered from 10 to 32 that strangely isn’t there 1+1/2 hrs later. Looks like Uchenna tried to alter the result and it was cancelled! Cc: fergie001 |
TolkowskyCut:So be it! If you must have a child, go and adopt a child that is not a product of deception. Personally, I would never adopt to replace a lack of biological children. I could adopt because I already have mine….not in place of mine. Once you accept that child, you are telling that woman she can do and undo and nothing will happen. God help the man who gives a woman that much power over him. As men, our logical minds would lead us to believe she would be so grateful but women are not wired that way. Women forget what you did yesterday, only today matters. Women push boundaries, they can’t help themselves, that’s why your boundaries must be firm with a woman. To a woman, this makes her she see you as weak and that she has control over you. If you can’t leave a woman because she deceived you into raising another man’s child as yours , tell me what is there she could possibly do that you can’t forgive? That is where you hand her a license to do and undo. The mistake men make is they seek the affection of women and do foolish things in the hope of securing it. They try to buy affection through material things and pandering to her. Women are incapable of love, I repeat, women are incapable of love. Fact check me, nowhere in the Bible does it mention a woman’s love for her husband because even God knows they are incapable. What a man needs from a woman is respect. You lose that respect the moment you pander to her. How does you accepting the ultimate product of disrespect make her respect you? The moment a woman knows she can disrespect you and get away with it, you are gone! Women only respect men who don’t tolerate disrespect. Be careful with women, they can make you do things that you know is wrong and they know is wrong but the minute you acquiesce, they lose respect for you and throw it back in your face because you have shown you are a weak man and women don’t respect weak men! |
It’s one thing to raise another man’s child full knowledge upfront, it’s another to be deceived into it. To buy into the emotional “bond with the child” gaslighting is to be fooled twice. He is not your child what foolish bond….bond of deception? Cut your losses and move on. Don’t be gaslighted, there is no courage or bravery in accepting deception. Pain is the fee we accept for living a life as a man, take your pain with grace and dignity and move on! |
FxMasterz:Yes it is recognized that there are different types of intelligence Emotional, analytical, social, contextual, fluid, creative etc and possessing one doesn’t mean you posses the others. It is the reason you should not automatically listen to experts outside their area of expertise which is something we do in Nigeria. For example a genius in music does not mean your genius in music transfers into politics or makes you a spokesman for current affairs. It is also a reason “technocrats” and “academics” generally make bad politicians. |
Let me see…I know you are investigating me, I am an intelligent man and I leave incriminating evidence for you at my residence. Then again I suppose, they have to dot the Is and cross the Ts. You never know some intelligent people can act very dumb…..like going on TV and saying they bugged the NSA’s phone. |
PDPGuy:Not going to happen. The era of governors going to senate to retire and continuous turnover of new faces particularly in the senate is over. The senate in particular is supposed to be a place of experienced, learned and wise people with institutional memory not a continuous conveyor belt of new faces. As they say, if e reach your turn as a senator or rep and you get the chance to pass a law that removes the stranglehold of governors over you and a president that will sign the law, if you like don’t pass the law. Hopefully this paves the way for better quality of individuals in the senate and house because they no longer need to rely on endorsement and hand picking by governors. If your people like you, you will win the ticket. If you do well, you will if someone more popular than you emerges, he will win. So it puts pressure on you to perform. |
PDPGuy:What qualifies as consensus is strictly defined by law under the 2026 electoral act. For a candidate to emerge by consensus, it means either he is the only candidate or other candidates must sign a letter withdrawing and endorsing the consensus candidate. Once 1 candidate refuses to withdraw, you cannot have a consensus candidate and it automatically goes to direct primaries. BTW this also whittles down the power of governors in determining who becomes senator etc. if you are truly popular amongst the party faithful in your district, no governor can stop you getting the ticket. I think this is progress. I know a governor in the SW who likely won’t be going to the senate. |
Never heard of him. |
What a joke! |
sinorte:I get really irritated and sad when we I read or hear “like western countries”. Make an argument because it is the right argument to make back it up with facts but that like western countries just belies an inferiority complex. For example, most of the food in America for example is bad, unnatural/ infested with chemicals, best before or no best before. 99% of our problems in this country is always trying to be like others and not appreciating or developing what we are. . Bread is very simple, organic bread should become mouldy after about 5 days left out in the open. If it doesn’t they are putting something in your bread. Secondly avoid breads with funny flavored smells, and other ingredients like “butter” or flavorings. To start with no bakery in Nigeria can afford to bake with butter. What they call butter is margarine and margarine is refined vegetable oil. I am not against labeling. Bread is very simple: yeast, flour, water and salt. Once it starts to contain anything other than that, you should avoid. You can tell from the smell, taste or how long it lasts if things have been added. There seems to be a trend for alll manner of funny smelling so called flavoured bread. Even the smell of the fresh loaf is nauseating to me. I lived abroad for decades, looking forward to coming back home to eat natural foods as nature intended only to get back to see we have “tried to be like the west” and infested almost all our foods with chemicals. No wonder so many are getting cancer! You don’t need best before for bread. Even in the UK if you keep bread for 5 days it will develop mould talk less Nigeria with 90% humidity. If it doesn’t stop buying that brand. That’s the surest sign it is infested with chemicals. |
lawani:Who said he is winning any primaries effortlessly? You people should also learn to critically analyze situations without using emotive language. The minute you start using emotive language, then you are consciously or unconsciously introducing your bias into your analysis. Secondly, read and understand. That the chances of you clinching the ticket rises from 0 to 35% does not suggest he will win or that his win if he does will be effortless. All it means is that with the new law his chances have increased where previously he had none. That said, in the event he wins the primaries, Obi Cannot win a presidential election against Tinubu. He can’t win a presidential election full stop. 1) Northern//Ibo history 2) If Nigeria is to elect an Ibo president, he is the wrong type of Ibo. He doesn’t sell in the North. Some people are just unelectable. 3) his history of disloyalty, abandonment and not keeping to agreements and the fact that he is not restricted to 1 term. 4) he needs a strong Northern figure as his vice. The 2 people that could have been possible vps have been more or less damaged by recent events. Kwakwanso declared a sponsor of terrorism by the U.S. and ElRufai’s recent travails. The new law simply opens a window for Obi in the primaries by overwhelming ADC with Obidient registrations. Where previously he had no chance. However in the event he wins, the majority of core ADC members will work against him or cut a deal with Tinubu. Just listen to some of the comments from core ADC members, it is an uneasy alliance, there is already a them v us mentality. ADC members do not like Obi or the Obidients, they are only fraternizing with him for SE votes but not at the expense of him becoming president. |
lawani:Technical correction: In direct primaries, there are no delegates. It is the registered party members that vote. In this day and age, I don’t believe I need to explain to anyone why Obi can’t win a head to head against Tinubu. To do so would be going back to retake introduction to Nigerian politics 101 course. |
otipoju:I don’t think many understand the impact of the new electoral act on Atiku. Indirect primaries have been abolished. It is now 1 man 1 vote. The days of delegates and dollar rain are over. This is a serious injury to Atiku. Obi’s chances of clinching the ADC ticket just shot up from 0% to 35%. That’s the good news for Obidients. The bad news is: if Obi gets the ticket, it’s a guaranteed landslide victory for Tinubu. |
OlujobaSamuel:It’s an AI generate image. Dele Farotimi said in December. “I will neither work nor vote for the Obi of 2023. That version of leadership, however well intentioned, is no longer sufficient for the scale of Nigeria’s crisis.” First, let us clear the noise. Responding to a question on X does not require writing an epistle or turning a comment into a manifesto. Not every opinion is a declaration of war. Sometimes, it is just an answer to a question. Nothing more. I am not a politician. I supported Peter Obi in the 2023 election cycle. That election is over. Support during an election does not translate into permanent allegiance. I am not beholden to Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, or any other politician. Democracy does not run on emotional captivity.“ |
Nastrademus:Get a life! The more you espouse hatred, the more the man soars!
|
Nastrademus:That’s a stock photo. If you bothered to look well and or were an informed person, you would easily know that is not the bill he is signing. |
I am sorry! Something is fishy here. This is what I know: 1: I wasn’t aware UI had offered law as a subject. In those days if you wanted to study law in the SW you went to Ife or Unilag. Unilag only offering law at the time as a second degree. I don’t know anyone who studied law at UI. 2: The top tier universities with the best law programs then were Ife, Unilag etc and I don’t know of anyone who graduated with a first class in law. It is such a notoriously tough subject to get a 1st class. Maybe you will see 3 in 10yrs talk less graduating that many in one set. 3: even Cambridge university in the Uk statistically o KT produces an average of 17% 1st class graduates in a class. So a law school graduating 40% of the class as 1st class is highly suspicious. 4: the argument that they had a high cut off mark for admission is invalid. The cut off mark for law in the best universities has always very high. They still don’t graduate with 40% 1st class. 5: that it is making the news shows it is an abnormally. If this is how they dish out 1st class then I am suspicious of a law degree from UI. |
angelboy01:Atiku does not have the money he used to have, he also has no governors. He needs a VP who can pump money into the campaign. |
ElSudani:I saw the interview. That’s not what he said. He was specifically talking about the SE voters and He said Obidients will not vote for APC or Tinubu. |
Thedon22:He removed the 2 biggest avenues for corruption just like that! Forex roundtripping and fuel subsidy. |
valentineuwakwe:When you groom a “young” person, it does not mean you hand over the reigns to him immediately. You mentor him over years in preparation for the job ahead. It does not mean he will get the job as a young man. The truth is there is no young person on the scene right now equipped to run a country like Nigeria. When you start a graduate trainee program and you are identified as a promising talent by your employers, it may take you another 20-30yrs before you become the MD but all your training, mentoring secondments, postings and assignments will be towards that goal because you have been identified as a bright prospect. |
This clown masquerading as a Monarch says Tinubu should send Kanu to Kenya or UK. He says he is an Ambassador and a Dr. I don’t know if his Doctorate is earned or bought but if he is truly was an ambassador, he should know. 1: Kenya is a sovereign state, Nigeria has no power to send him there. 2: Kanu by virtue of being a convicted terrorist has automatically lost his British Citizenship so which Uk is he talking about? 3: They may both be secessionists but igboho wasn’t involved in or convicted of terrorism. Kanu wasn’t convicted as a secessionist but as a terrorist. So they are not the same. |
Noise makers. Emotional unstrategic people. You are launching village boy movement that can’t scale outside the SE. you are wasting the energies you should use to cultivate new supporters outside the SE on voters who are already for you. The city boy movement is national, your village boy movement is restricted to the SE. is it Akure or Kaduna, or Kano or Ilorin, Sokoto or Katsina that you can carry this your village boy movement to? Those are the votes Obi needs not Sae votes. So if you are wasting your energies defending SE votes then Tinubu has already defeated you by keeping you busy where he wants you busy. Leaving you little resources to get the votes you actually need. What a bunch of clowns! |
