pquaver:If you check my post history I have always severally credited Buhari for leaving enduring infrastructural legacies. I have also always said I never voted for him because he was a poor economic administrator in 1984 and therefore it is no surprise that he was poor as a manager of the economy in his second stint. Finally I also said many times that fighting corruption as a military leader is different from fighting corruption as a civilian. Whatever the flaws of a leader, what is importanat is what you can point to decades after he leaves office and say this is Buhari’s bridge, road, airport, refinery etc. in that respect and despite all his flaws, Buhari has left more legacies than any president since 1999. Tinubu will exceed him. For all the praise Obasanjo gets, you cannot point to anything he left behind. I know his limitations but I have never insulted Buhari. |
id4sho:You are still in “might” mode? None of them will smell it. Tinubu’s successor will be determined by Tinubu. You don’t go through painstaking reforms, fuel and forex subsidy reforms, Lg autonomy, tax reforms, state police reforms on the way etc to hand over to someone who will destroy your legacy. Forget all this noise from 3 daft men who couldn’t engineer victory when they had 14.7m votes. |
aylipple:You are contesting against a political strategist like Tinubu, a man who has never lost an election, a man who engineered the defeat of PDP the incumbent president in 2015 a feat never engineered in our political history, a man who made an unelectable Buhari electable and in 2024 you are already revealing your strategy? Can you not see why these 3 men despite belonging to the same party and having 14.7m votes between them lost the election? They are so daft!!!! |
Menclothing1:Obi can never win a presidential election in Nigeria |
Anyone thinking Atiku or anyone in the north has any plan to suppport Obi as president in 2027 or beyond can see they idea is DOA! If Atiku’s plan is to tell Obi he will be his running mate for 4 years, then running mate to Kwakwanso for another 4 years, it tells you what they think of Obi! |
The process for the rehabilitation of the refineries was done by Buhari, credit must be given to him. It must be noted that if Tinubu takes the fall for the problems caused by Buhari that manifested after he left, then it is not out of place to take credit for the good Buhari did that manifested after he left. Same way whoever succeeds Tinubu will reap the rewards of the forex and fuel subsidy removals for which we are all enduring pain today! To me, the credit for the refineries to Buhari, just as I will give credit for subsidy removal and forex harmonization, tax reforms, LG autonomy etc when they start to yield the benefits to Tinubu. |
givedemwotowoto:Freedom of speech exists. If there is no freedom of speech, he would not have been able to post what he posted. Freedom to spread lies also exists but it comes with freedom of the DSS or police to arrest you. Freedom of Afe Babalola to report you to the police and freedom of ElRufai’s son to sue you. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences of spreading lies. |
marv1:Abeg stop that nonsense! Do not tarnish the legacy and fight of Fawenhinmi by mentioning him in the same breath as Farotimi. You can support Farotimi without dragging Fawehinmi into this. Let Farotimi stand on his own. He has achieved nothing, so far he is just a verbose tactless crying noisemaker who has achieved precisely nothing but vent his frustrations to the world. Let him go to court and prove his allegations. If he succeeds, then we can start to consider his application to be considered along the true freedom fighters. You don’t become a hero simply because you accuse people of corruption, spend a few nights in jail and cry in public. What is the net result? |
Namaster:She lost because she is incompetent. Simple as! |
Nonsense! |
Susily:You don’t know women! A woman will hold a grudge till the moment she doesn’t need you anymore. Observe the number of women who “abandon”. their husbands once their last child has graduated. At the heart of it are things you did years ago, you thought she had forgotten or forgiven. |
Like I said in a previous test, do your test secretly and don’t use your real name. Destroy all evidence, you are doing the test for yourself not for the world or the woman. If it confirms the child is yours, nobody needs to ever know. But as a man you must do test. No woman will ever forgive you if she knows you did a test and the child turns out to be yours and I won’t blame her. From the day she finds out never sleep with both eyes closed again and be very afraid once those children are grown and educated and hence you are no longer needed. |
abbey621:I suggest you ask your father to do a DNA, you may belong to the driver. |
abbey621:You made a stupid comment about making it known that you will require a DNA before you marry….fine for those who aren’t married. I simply asked what about those already married with kids? Stop making daft poorly conceived comments and you won’t be called out. Stop trying to redefine the conversation to cover up your intellectual lapses. This thread was about men with children. The implication is that the children already exist and they are likely already married. A man married with children is the discussion it is the point of the thread. |
abbey621:And what if you already married with children? Some of you don’t think before you post! |
EmperorCaesar:I detest her but she is right. If the results are positive and the child is yours, you need to shut up and destro any evidence that you did a test. Nobody (certainly not your wife) needs to know you did a test. Because now you will introduce distrust into your marriage that will never go till the day you die. If your wife finds out you did a test and the child/children are yours, instead of bringing peace of mind, that’s the beginning of your problems for you in that house. Even if the test is negative, You should keep quiet for a while, tidy up your affairs before you make your move or announce what you know. I will advise that when doing the test do t do it in your name. Don’t leave any records in case the children are yours. If they are not then you can do a repeat test in your name. |
No legitimate deductions would lead to any of the payslips you see above. Deductions as seen could be a number of reasons. The main one is they have collected advanced payment on their salary and I doubt any company will give you 100% salary advance. The system generally expects you to use your credit cards or bank overdraft. In all likelyhood these are either fake payslips or they are working through a scam agency that is deducting other fees from their salaries. For instance maybe they brought them to the UK under some illegal scheme and they are deducting certain fees from their payslips every month. This is illegal. A legitimate UK payslip will itemize every deduction including national insurance etc. furthermore, although it has been long I worked in the UK, I do know that your taxable pay and pensionable pay are never the same. Your taxable pay is always less than your gross pay because your taxable pay is net of tax free allowance. Finally these are not how payslips look in the UK. I have never had a payslip that looked like it was produced by Microsoft excel or word. Below is how a typical Uk payslip looks like. Like I said I suspect this are fake payslips or a scam agency exploiting illegal Nigerians.

muykem:Say it as it is….Obidients. I have never seen an Obidient make sense! |
Sharia can never fly in the SW. dead on arrival. If you look at the typical SW Muslim and the typical NW Muslim you will know why? I saw a video on Twitter from a man in the UAE. He said there is a difference between Islam and islamism. Islam is a religion, islamism is political. In the Sw we practice Islam. What they have in the North is more islamism! He goes on to say there is no country that practices islamism that isn’t a mess!

bro4u:If it’s only rumor of attitude you’ve heard, you’ve not heard the real rumors. Ask what happened when Aketi was attorney general, find out who ran naked in the middle of the night to the then deputy governors house, find out which couple never slept in the same room throughout their time in office, then you will understand what is happening and everything will make sense. |
His constant “a new Nigeria is POssible”. is actually a breach of the law. The electoral law says no campaigns during election off-season. His is trying to campaign by stealth but if he is is arrested, his supporters will scream blue murder but he is doing exactly what he preaches against….breaking the law. |
alanto:He is such an unintelligent man who thinks those whose votes he needs are as daft as his supporters and can’t see straight through his constant fake messages. That he can’t even send Christmas message without campaigning shows the insincerity of the message. I repeat what I have said many times: this kind of messaging can appeal to his followers but his followers are not enough to make him president and those whose votes he needs find his messaging nauseating and bordering on offensive to their intelligence. If it is the votes of those who didn’t vote for him he is trying to get, he won’t get it this way. |
helinues:Exactly! Imagine the number of Lagos-Calabar type roads we would have today if $10b subsidy hadn’t disappeared annually via exhaust pipes and fake claims? |
helinues:This is what happens when good leaders choose infrastructure over fuel subsidy. Cheap petrol disappears in smoke, good roads and infrastructure remain. Either way the money is gone. Tinubu has chosen to spend on things that endure. |
But Sowore was complaining about the police before Egbetokun became IG. Is he saying the police was ok before? |
I rate Tinubu 8/10 I rate the journalists 4/10 As journalists supposedly in tune with the pulse of the nation, you had an opportunity to ask the president unscripted questions and you played safe. If I were a journalist, I would have asked 1: why does the government continue to purchase guzzling jeeps, maintain long convoys and buy foreign made cars. When you tell others to “manage”? 2: Do you intend to manadate a “buy Nigeria first” policy in public procurement? 3: how do you intend to promote export lead value added products to capitalize on the devaluation of the Naira? 4: what efforts are being made to raise the standards in our universities? These are just a few Tinubu did very well, the journalists performed poorly! |
Trump go deport all of una! |
immortalcrown:Learn to read. I already answered you. The job of a presidential (or any) candidate is to win his election and to employ strategies that will aid in that. Post morterm is for those who lost! If a candidate avoided a debate especially one by an hostile organizer and wins then it was the right strategy to avoid it. The question you should ask (which I have already told you) is why those who focused on TV debates lost. For the last time good riddance! |
uvie66:I dont know how stooopid you feel reading what you just typed but you should. Did you bother to check Arise TV audience numbers, views, subscriptions, typical views per video etc? They are not as important as they (or you) think they are! did not occur to you that most people dont have N500 for data and do you know how long a debate is? My mechanic (who charged me 400K in the end) came to fix my car the other day, I had to pay for his data so we could communicate on whatsapp. You may be shocked how many of the masses are carrying smart phones around with no data! Talk less the rural dwellers! Put yourself in their shoes, if you were in that class of Nigerian to whom N500 is a meal, and you have N500, is it data to watch election debate you will use it for? There exists a Nigeria beyond the cities of Lagos, Abuja etc. they don’t watch Arise TV. And they certainly dont watch debates! The arise news is on right now on YouTube, less than 800 people are watching! In a country of 220m, they have less than 1m subscribers both local and international. The second picture is one of the presidential debates. 2 years after and after multiple views at home aand abroad, it never got to 500k views, most of this are the educated Uncle Toms in the cities and abroad. I am sure it never got 50k views on the day! And this is what someone should waste his time entering a hostile environment for? Do a YouTube search for arise Tv and Edo debates. Most of the views are 50k, max 100k. This is the whole of Nigeria and of this how many are Edo voters? I’m sure not more than 5K. So if as a Edo candidate I have a handicap and I know some presenters want to humiliate me, why would I attend…..for a max audience of 5K? How many views did Ighodalo and Apata get for all their Arise interviews and how many were from Edo? It may also interest you to know that in a country of over 200m people, DSTV only has about 2m active subscribers. With an average family of 6 it means only about 12m or 5% of the population have access to Arise TV via Satelite TV. Is it rural people who have no electricity that are watching TV? I keep repeating that elections is not a game for sentiment and emotions but stats and figures. You go where the votes are……they are not on Arise TV!
|
immortalcrown:Conversation has ended. dont be a hypocrite and continue to derail the thread! If you like learn a thng or two, if you like continue in your foolishless and delusions of grandeur that votes of English speaking western educated, Uncle Toms that constitute the TV debate audience in Nigeria are relevant! |
immortalcrown:all you have displayed here is the arrogance of the 10%. The 90% don"t watch these debates. These debates are for the educated English speaking mostly city dwelling wannabees to make themselves feel important and who think Nigeria is America so we must do everything they do. Clearly you still haven"t understood the message. Educated people in their arrogance still dont understand that when it comes to elections, we are not important! Election is a numbers game, people who watch debates dont have the numbers to be important and even their numbers are always split so as a demographic, the effect is Zero! If there are 1.5M debate watching viewers, .5m will vote APC, come what may, .5 million will vote PDP come what may and .5m will vote LP. You effort is better spent on the block votes who do not waiver and vote as a block. For example the ibo vote for Obi and the Northern APC votes for Tinubu. 300K Ekiti rural block APC votes are more valuable than the 1.5m TV debate audience in the last example. You will share the votes of the debate audience and not gain any advantage over your opponent while the EKiti votes will put you 300K ahead. So as a presidential candidate i will attend a debate 1) if the demographic is sympathetic towards me 2) i need their votes. Conversely I will avoid it if 1) they are hostile and 2) they dont affect the outcome. it is normal for a presidential candidate (or any candidate) to target those whose votes will make him win and avoid the hostiles who were never going to vote for him. it is a f0ol who targets 10% as the expense of the 90%. It is also a fool who goes into a hostile environment for votes he does not need. There is nothing to be gained!!! whether he debated or not, you were never going to vote for him, you only wanted an opportunity to mock him and he denied you because he is smarter than your ancestors.. Both Trump and Harris avoided debates or interviews they viewed would not help their cause. |
immortalcrown:Look who is talking? If anyone derailed the thread it is you and I put you in your place by telling you why he ignored you irrelevant, hostile and self righteous voters who think they are more important than they are and he is president today! There is electioneering and there is governing. When governing you talk to all, when campaigning you talk to those whose votes are relevant to you. |
