Leonardo4:1: subsidy removal simply means we no longer borrow to pay for subsidy. It isn’t money we had and save due to subsidy removal. It is additional debt we save. Understand the difference! You can’t save. What you never had to begin with. 2: FG only gets 15% of the VAT collected. Ask your governors where the VaT money is. 3: the sensible question is where is the gain from floating the Naira and again the majority of it (54%) goes to the governors and their cronies in the LG. Again ask your governors what they are doing with the windfall! |
Saao:Did the man contest in private? Does he not collect LG funds? What exactly does he do as Lg chairman if you cannot do the basics? You may not like Wike but the man is speaking truth. We all need to hold our LG chairmen to account. Many of us (including myself) don’t even know who our local govt chairman is. They have autonomy, they have funds and they are closest to the people! Most of the things that concern our day to day lives are under the remit of local govt chairmen. Street lights, community security, community health centers, potholes, local traffic, touts, drainage etc are not the business of governors or the president! These things have more impact on people’s lives than airports, express ways etc. and these things are the responsibility of LG chairmen! For every one Naira that goes to the federal govt at FAAC, 46 kobo is shared to local government chairmen, yet everybody is focused on FG and nobody knows his LG chairman! Neither are we concerned that for decades (until recent LG autonomy) 54% of every FAAC Naira has been in the hands of governors and most have nothing to show |
This is a welcome development in the SE. hotels, transportation, hospitality and other businesses will benefit. |
OLAADEGBU:He should speak for himself. To me she is an embarrassment! |
ultraviolet27:This is an issue of corruption of the judiciary. This is not about party, tribe or any alliances. This is the very foundation on which he deceived you mor0ns that his movement is about. You are the one who is stoooopid! In the end what did he acheive? Dele told him “I didn’t send you”. Even you admit that he should have sat it out because ultimately he achieved nothing. Dele has more liver and bottle than Obi. A leader must show good judgement, it’s not every matter ( even amongst your followers) you intervene. Obi has consistently shown poor judgement. I don’t expect any better of you. As an Obidient it is inherent that you are not intelligent or discerning. |
Sleekfingers:Kemi is just suffering from inferiority complex. And she feels the best way to ingratiate herself with the whites and to gain the white vote (since most blacks tend to vote Labour) is to disparage Nigeria and to say to the whites, “I am like you”. |
I never thought I would hear Aisha make an intelligent statement in my life time. She must have malaria or something. Otherwise, even a broken clock tells the right time twice a day. |
naptu2:He chose to intervene because in his usual manner he saw it as an opportunity to gain political capital. He is just as useless and corrupt as the system He claims to want to change. If truly he is a principled man and wants to change the system, this is not a thing you settle out of court. I can’t stand Farotimi but he has shown he is more principled and more of a change agent than Obi can ever be. Begging and trying to sweep such an important matter under the carpet just shows nothing can ever change with Obi. Anybody talking about begging is an enemy of Nigeria and so far the only opposition that are consistent are Sowore and Farotimi. You cannot claim you want to cleanse the system and even think of begging! The case must go to court. Either way we will move one step towards sanitizing a part of our society. Either we sanitize the judiciary or we sanitize the epidemic of defamations. Begging is a sign of weakness and maintaining the status quo! Begging means it’s all talk!! |
this Fubara is clueless!!! he clearly has too much money and doesnt know what to do with the money. |
adetoya234:The woman is stoopid....and so are you!!! Sometimes I wonder if Nigerians are sane people? A man accused the judiciary of corruption, instead of people to be excited that any corruption in the judiciary will be exposed, they are begging and saying they should settle...is that how you bring about a sane country? he made weighty allegations against not just a man, but his firm and hence the lawyers in that firm as well as the judiciary...he should provide the evidence or be taught a lesson that you cant just abuse freedom of speech to defame people. 4 companies were given temporary land 40 years ago to house their staff temporarily while they embarked on construction projects in a virgin city. People need to understand “house their staff”. In those days there was something called portacabins which were mobile fitted container style accommodation units which were moveable from site to site. Three of the companies finished their contract and left the site. You because you think you are owner of Nigeria remained on the land build permanent structures and rented out the properties to tenants and have been collecting rent for decades. El Rufai (at least 10years ago) when he was a minister issued quit notice, your people allegedly assaulted the bulldozer driver, the matter died, you didnt think to take that as a cue to regularize the property which you have no legal claim or documents to? A new minister came and served you notice to regularize your documents over 1 year ago and told you to pay N40M. Please listen o.....a mere 40M!! you thought as owner of Nigeria you what can they do? The notice period expired and your forfeited all claims to the land and then you go on TV whipping up sentiments!!!! And then the same eeediots who complain about the country are condemning the man trying to bring sanity to our space. The problem with Nigeria are Nigerians themselves. I have lost land in Abuja because we did not do the needful...heaven did not fall. She has lost that land and heaven will not fall. Now the issue of him allocating the land to someone supposedly close to him is a different matter but she was given time and the time elapsed, the land has been reallocated and it no longer beliongs to her. She can cry all she wants, she is part of the people that spoilt this country. You want a country that works do your own part by obeying the laws! you people like to denigrate Nigeria and compare us to America and the UK.....you cant try this nonsesnse there...thats why their countries work. No sentiment!!! |
All this shows is that Atiku and Obi are not getting g the PDP ticket. It also shows the opposition votes will be split again. |
kedeojo:I am not Ibo. Maybe you should read my post again and the post I responded to. |
Sheuns:How much is the aid? See your low level mentality! Is it because of $1b a year that you want to sell your descendants into slavery? You say they are the highest spenders, did they spend it on you? Borrow yourself a brain abeg! |
IGBOPROMISE1:Expand your horizons and educate and enlighten yourself. A state airport belongs to the state. But the airspace and movement of all flights in Nigeria belongs to and is managed by the federal government. So when a state builds an airport, especially an international airport it knows it will be managed by the federal government especially an international airport. That the federal government manages the operations does not mean the airport has been “taken over” by or is now owned by the federal government. Sam mbakwe airport is the 1st state owned and remains a state owned airport jointly owned with Abia state. |
Sheuns:Use your brain, we export nothing to America, they don’t buy our Oil. We have little to lose. The only thing we “export” to America these days are human beings. |
DrAda:Trump is doing what he is doing for the interest of his people. We must also do what is in our interest. America is a falling empire. It’s a bluff by Trump that will do more harm to America than BRICS. Trump is only in power for 4 years. China has already declined the invitation to his inauguration. |
DrAda:Trump is doing what he is doing for the interest of his people. We must also do what is in our interest. America is a falling empire. It’s a bluff by Trump that will do more harm to America than BRICS. Trump is only in power for 4 years. |
As a yoruba man, let me just say this Kemi is just stooopid and an embarrassment to Yorubas, Nigerians and all blacks. The game she has been playing thinking she could deceive the British electorate is backfiring on her after Shettima told her to change her name and the British public sided with Shettima. You know you have messed up when it is the British you are trying to impress that are criticizing you for “causing a diplomatic rift with one of the largest economies in Africa.” What many uncle toms do t know is outsiders do not respect people who do not respect their own. |
The annoying thing about this matter is that we are dealing with a mob who are onLy interested in their own version of the “truth”. People whose stock in trade is to turn mor0ns into heroes. If Dele has evidence he should provide it. Otherwise he knows the consequences of his actions. I am nauseated by all this talk of begging! The horse has left the stable! The allegations are too weighty for begging. Someone must go down, Afe Babalola or Dele! No begging!!! The real enemies of Nigeria are those talking about begging! |
Mdaz:Celebrated by buffooons? |
ENEJI16:In sensible countries people pay their property taxes as and when due. |
BlueStripper:So people should not pay their ground rent? |
Earthquakes:I'll give you 2: America, Britain...should I go on? https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/voting-and-elections/how-elections-work/how-votes-are-counted https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cj4vn0qxy0lo eeediot, ignoramus commenting on things they know nothing about. The INEC server contains copies of the results. It is not the InEC server that calculates the results. Results are collated manually from PU, again at ward, then state, all the way to national. Only eeediots talk about server because declaration of results has nothihng to do with the server As for BVAS the clue is in the name. It is a voter verification and authentication system. All BVAS does is verify that you are registered to vote and are person in their database. BVAS only knows that you came or did not come to vote, it does not know who you voted for. It shows how daft you are. The sad thing is eeediots like you are given the power to vote. |
TheBillyonaire:votes are counted manually. if you had any brain cells you will realise you and t6hose who talk about switching off servers just make fools of themselves. |
Sirchiboy:The answer is very simple. The world has no time for a man who has no value to offer. Cruel but simple truth. Even your family will ignore you in family matters talk less friends. Thank God you are a man and not a woman because as a man, the world lets you know in no uncertain terms when you have no value but the world flatters (deceives) a woman with little or no value, such that by the time she realizes the world has deceived her, it is too late for her to correct course. Be grateful you are a man and that the world does not deceive or flatter men. However the world treats a man is a reflection of his value. So take it as a positive, don’t take it personal and get your act together. |

Emmy000seun:When you send your child to school, do you see the benefit within 2 years? For 16 years you will endure borrow beg to pay school fees books uniform etc. is it not when that child graduates or when you are old that you start to benefit? The man who withdrew his child from school after 2 years because the financial burden was much and he did not see any benefit is the one who grows old and is poor his child is poor still living under his roof and he is still providing for his poor child! Nonsense! |
Idiko1:Damn! What is wrong with you people? |
CSTRR:The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Everything I have said has come to pass. What is bigotry if I tell you the man you are presenting is unelectable and you should find another? Why would I give you the winning formula? Why would I try and correct you? You are the real bigots that’s why you cannot see what’s clear to everyone else because your thinking is rooted in tribalism. When your political moves are rooted in bigotry you fool yourselves only, that’s why all your political moves have failed, think about it, from the alliance with NCNC, to coup, to civil war, to alliance with NPn to alliance with PDP, to Biafra, to IPOB, to sit at home, to Obi……all have failed to deliver what you truly desire the presidency. They all fail for the same reason you just exhibited in your response. And they will continue until you course correct, stop being driven by sentiment and emotion nenstrategic and dispassionate. But feel free to call me the devil, I’m not the one who has never seen his tribesman elected president. Clearly I am Not the one doing something wrong. |
CSTRR:PDP will never give him the ticket for the same reason they didn’t give him the ticket in 2023. They know he is unelectable! They know their electorate. Every party wants to win and for a party out of power for so long they will give their ticket to whosoever gives them the best chance of achieving that. They went with Atiku because he was their best chance and they will go with whoever will give them the best chance in 2027….that person won’t be Obi. They even went against their constitution, risked angering Wike and the G5 and splitting their party and you think they will give Obi the ticket? And even if they do, you think the North (despite all the current noise) will see a Tinubu v Obi and vote for Obi? Seriously? If you do you have no business commenting on politics cause you have got a clue!! The only people still behind Obi are Ibos. Others are turning their backs on him fast. He won’t get the votes he got in 2023 in 2027. Take that to the bank. I said these things to you before the election when I said the day Obi left PDP that he just handed the presidency to Tinubu…..you responded the same way you are responding now. These things are so blatantly obvious to the dispassionate but you are too emotional to see the blatantly obvious. Elections are a numbers game not about emotions. You want an Ibo president?….. look for another Ibo man. One who is credible, one who can get votes outside of the Ibo electorate. The longer you invest your energies in Obi the longer you have to travel to get an Ibo president because when you eventually accept he is unelectable, you will have to then start from fresh with a new guy. If you carry on with this Obi project, don’t be surprised that SS becomes president again before the SE. Watch this woman. She doesn’t totally get it but she is seeing the evidence. Many of the non Ibos who supported Obi are beginning to feel like this woman. Again if you look at my posts, I predicted this. Many of the non Ibos who supported Obi did so because they wanted a change and he was packaged as that change. They were not discerning enough to see the rough the charade and packaging. Now they are questioning him. Again I had said it many times that Obi’s desire to hug the headlines will be his undoing because his non Ibo supporters will have 4 years to examine him in a manner they weren’t before thee elections and find out he is a charlatan. What amazes me about this woman and people like her is that while she can recognize that Obi has disappointed her, it’s as if she doesn’t seem to realize he was never the man that was sold to her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=115wNu9A18g?si=lYXnikjWIoztzfea |
People will understand 2 things 1: that in the era when Afe Babalola got his SAN, them No dey dash SAN to just anybody 2: there is a reason why Farotimi is not a SAN and nobody knew him till he became an Obidient. |
CSTRR:I told you this before the election and if I recall I told you a few days ago. Popular and electable are 2 different things. Atiku is electable which means with the right circumstances he can be president remote as it may be. Obi is unelectable because there is no circumstance that will result in annObi presidency. You only have to engage your brains and stop thinking emotionally. He may appeal to you, he may be popular amongst the Ibos but as you have seen that is not enough. The people whose votes he needs are the very people who would rather die than vote for him. That is the definition of unelectable….same fate befell Awolowo. I have said this many times if you agenda is an Ibo presidency, look for another Ibo man that doesn’t carry his baggage. Nobody has ever become president of Nigeria without broad appeal. Obi does not have broad appeal! |
