40yroldman:So long as you have more than 2 strong parties, the winner will likely never win the majority vote. Even if Atiku or Obi won the last election, the majority of Nigerians will not have voted for them. So be careful propagating a narrative that may work against you in future when it is your turn. The only way you have a president with a majority vote is in a democracy with only 2 strong parties. Shagari, Balewa did not become president or prime minister with the majority of Nigerians voting for them. Be careful the narratives you propagate because it didn’t work in your favoir this time! |

djon78:Eediots are best ignored. Like the new generation You failed to read properly,or comprehend what you read…. everything else is medicine after death. |
djon78:You are clearly typical of the new generation of Nigerians educated in the era of decayed educational institutions who speak English, claim to read but lack English comprehension. casualobserver: |
HIGHESTPOPORI:You are a fool and just exposed your low IQ. Like I always say you need to have a low IQ to be an Obi supporter. You’ve googled it and found it to be true. It’s well known fact that is all over the internet. By the way he also has a degree in Law from the university of London, an MBA from ABU and a proper masters degree from havard not all these 1 or 2 week seminars that are open to anyone who can pay and your hero Obidunce attends and calls himself a havard graduate. Just engaging you has dropped my IQ. You will be ignored henceforth.

Codes151:The irony is Joe Igbojwe is usually right but always get lambasted by his fellow Ibos. I admire his steadfastness to stand alone as a lone wolf taking all the insults and remaining true to his beliefs. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:If you had evidence that ElRufai did not graduate with a 1st class you would have presented it just as quick as you were to assert that Obi graduated as an average student with 2:2. You can’t because you know it is a well known fact! I don’t have time for people who celebrate and elevate mediocrity like Peter Obi! Good day! |
HIGHESTPOPORI:Because for all intents and purposes a 2:2 is as bad as a 3rd class. Where I come from we don’t reckon with 2:2 degrees. A 2:2 is an average student. An average student is a student that has not displayed exceptional intellect. If you are looking of above average students, above average intellect, you look for 2:1 and 1st class. A Pass, 3rd class and 2:2 are effectively all the same. We are talking about ElRufai who had a 1st class. If you had any shame you would have kept quiet when I said 3rd class because 2:2 is nothing to brag about. Like I said it is as bad as a 3rd class. The premium recruiters and postgraduate institutions will not even look at your CV…..same with the guy with 3rd class or pass. Which is why I said it is effectively the same as a 3rd class or pass degree. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:2nd class Lower, 3rd class what is the difference? There are jobs and masters degree programs you can’t apply for with a 2:2. |

Eboofa:Africans cannot see beyond money. You are predictable. I already replied to someone who wrote similar so no need to rehash. Many of the richest people in Africa particularly Nigeria are the dumbest because their path to wealth did not involve intelligence but corruption, state capture criminality, influence peddling, nepotism and the fact that truly intelligent people walked away from public service after the military era. ElRufai is an exception. The most intelligent Nigerians are abroad or in the private sector and they don’t necessarily chase wealth. Those that do tend to be very conservative because intelligence also tells one to be conservative with your wealth in a poor country. It takes an intelligent man to know that too much wealth comes with its own problems and to know when you have enough money. An intelligent man knows that at a level of success, you are just working to give it away because you can’t spend it yourself so why bother. The majority of intelligent and legitimately wealthy Nigerians don’t want to attract attention to themselves so they live a conservative life. To an intelligent man wealth gives peace and security. It is most often the dumbest that flaunt their wealth. But to you a wealthy man is a man who has a mansion that is always empty, he has Ferraris on potholes ridden roads, he buys a Ferrari but he uses a road side mechanic to service it because there are no Ferrari dealerships in Nigeria. He pays a lot to bring the car to Nigeria but the car has no resale value. To you he is an intelligent man because he has money! An intelligent man buys or builds a comfortable house in Nigeria, drives a practical car like a land cruiser, Lexus, he won’t even be caught dead in a G wagon. A wealthy intelligent man will not bring a Ferrari to Nigeria because there are no roads to enjoy the car, no dealerships to service the car and it will only attract attention from undesirables and ridicule from his peers. He has his money invested in the stock market of properties abroad. He gets dividends in dollars. When he wants to enjoy his money, he goes abroad to exotic locations, stays in the best hotels, rents a ferrari on roads he can enjoy the car, comes back to Nigeria and drives his Lexus or lanceuiser like nothing happen. You don’t know him because he doesn’t flaunt his money. You don’t know him because he is an intelligent man but many of them are richer than the dumb people you put on a pedestal. You don’t know him because he does not seek recognition or awards from people and politicians he holds in contempt. |
KnowAll:He is one of the few intelligent Ibo politicians. |
Morenikeji090:Like I said Atiku and obi and Kwakwanso collectively don’t have the brains to unseat Tinubu. For God’s sake where were the brains in 2023. When they collectively had 14.6m votes? Did they have to lose election to realize they should have found a way to stay together? They think it’s just about forming coalition. Even if they form a coalition, they will fail because they are fundamentally dumb people. Like I said to someone else a few posts above, Nigeria has elevated a lot of fundamentally dumb people to cult like status because a lot of intelligent people have fled the public space. I am not insulting them I am making a statement of fact. They are not intelligent men! ElRufai is a different matter. He is the brains that call pull it all together. I am not saying he will succeed but if I were Tinubu, I will only have sleepless nights if I hearElRufai is working with the opposition to unseat me. He is the only one with the brain power to knit it all together. Don’t underestimate him! Don’t underestimate his intellect, don’t underestimate his stubbornness and determination. Tinubu should know that he is only president today because of ElRufai. The only caveat I will add is I cannot see a man of ElRufai’s intellect lend his brains to install either Atiku or Obi. He knows they are not on his level! |
Trueprophet91:I have defined intelligence. You, like most children of the post Babangida era who know no better because they never witnessed the era of intellect in government have defined intelligence by financial success. You don’t need to be intelligent in Nigeria to be rich. If anything financial success in Nigeria is determined by one’s penchant for corruption, criminality and illegality. There is no derailment. The military era frrom 1984-1999 altered our public space. The result was intelligent people stayed away from government and I agree with ElRufai, financially successful “illiterates” took over the machinery of government. It is because you are a product of that era that you do not know the difference. When I was growing up people like Peter Obi and Atiku would never have reached the political heights that have. They do because the intelligent people stayed away from politics and created the vacuum which they filled. Even ElRufai’s journey into politics was an accident. Compare Okpara, Zik, Mbadiwe, Sam Mbakwe to Peter Obi. He is not fit to lace their shoes intellectually. Similarly, Atiku. ElRufai is one of a few politicians that can compare intellectually and sit comfortably with the great politicians of old. |
Trueprophet91:The problem in Nigeria is we have elevated mediocrity to great heights because the real intelligence has taken a backseat in our public affairs. Who were they how did they make their money? Customs, buying and selling, looting government money? Is that intellect? What did the intellect do for them when they were in office, what was the legacy of their intellect when they were in office. They say when you roll around in sheet, you no longer recognize the smell. Criminals are the ones who manor money in Nigeria. So don’t equate financial success in Nigeria as a measure of intellect. ElRufai is one of the few real intellectuals in public service. Most intellectually gifted people cannot bring themselves to navigate the political space. Although academic qualification are not always a reflection of intellect they are often a pointer. Peter Obi got a 3rd class in philosophy, Atiku got a diploma in hygiene. ElRufai is a first class graduate in Quantity surveying. Ability to loot government funds, rig elections, make money from drug trafficking, forex tripping, government contracts, become rich because you are the sole agent for certain products is not a measure of intelligence. In the Nigerian context, it just means you are a hustler and you are prepared to whatever is required to make money. These are the qualifications of most people in the public space that you say look at what they were before! Those are not measures of intelligence. By saying look at what they were before you betray yourself because you are elevating and celebrating opportunists and thievery not intelligence. |
Obi is no threat, Atiku is no threat, Kwankwanso is no threat, combined they are no threat. Because they are all unintelligent and you can guarantee they will fumble. But you see that ElRufai…..you don’t want him against you. My advice to Tinubu is to find a way to reconcile with ElRufai if he wants a 2nd term. There are only 3 politicians in Nigeria to fear. Tinubu, Wike and ElRufai. Tinubu is a strategic thinker, Wike and ElRufai are intelligent trouble makers. The others have a very low IQ and are not strategic or have the intellectual capacity to cause an upset even combined. |
ogugwa1992:oga, how many times do we have to conduct elections for you to know that uploading or failure to upload does not matter. Irev is a viewing portal, it is not evidence of rigging because it is not used to collate results. The only evidence that can upturn an election or prove rigging is forms EC8 and BVAS accreditation data. everything else is just noise o just like Obi at the election tribunal. Form EC8 is the original copy of whatever was uplaoded to irev and every party agent and the police has the original copy. So why will a judge care about what is on irev when he can request for the original copy from you or from the police? Trust me when i say this: any lawyer that goes to court talking about server and irev and uploading knows he has no case and is just playing to the gallery. If you have a case you will produce the EC8 form because that is where the evidence of rigging is. It is like sitting an exam and results are pasted on the notice board. if you have a query with the result posted, it is not the result pasted you will tender as evidence but your actual exam paper. it is the exam paper that will determine whether the result pasted is accurate or not |
Gandollar:i didnt see anywhere where monthly was mentioned |
obaidan:Imagine someone who bought delegates expecting anyone to take him seriously? |
If N50m is all it takes to buy an opposition leader then such opposition leaders do not deserve to be in power. How hungry can you be? 50m cannot buy you a decent new car talk less a house. |
caracas:you are exactly the kind of low IQ audience Arise news appeals to if you cannot see the stupidity of your comment. |
Wow! |
Melagros:That is why succession in govt is important so that those coming after you continue where you left off…..assuming you had a good plan in the first place. Some people will say Godfatherism but their hero has nothing too show for his time in office. |
kedeojo:Rufai is not a journalist, neither are Ayo or Ojy. Most of the women employed on Arise Tv are employed based on looks and ability to speak English is a western style accent. That’s their business model. That’s why you can see a difference in professionalism between the channels crew and the arise crew. That’s why you will never see any investigative journalism from Arise TV and why you will see OJY referencing tweeter as a news source….can you imagine. Twitter is what ojy presents as sources on what’s trending? |
Softmirror:For landgrabbing Abi? |
Rufai and Ojy will be ranting on Arise Tv meanwhile their boss will be giving awards to the same people! Arise Tv is a just a comedy sketch! Meanwhile did anyone notice they kept quiet about their Ogas problems with first bank? Arise Tv has no credibility! |
Gbadugbakun: waternogatenemy:Tinubu does not need your votes to win. APc has won 3 consecutive elections without the SE vote. Rather than any futile attempt to appease the unappeasable, he would rather appease the North (particularly middle belt) and the SS. When given a choice, Ibos have never voted for a yoruba man since the dawn of elections in Nigeria. Certainly not when their brother is on the ballot. Only a daft politician will think releasing Kanu will make an Ibo man vote for Tinubu or APC and daft Tinubu is not! Your overate your electoral importance and display a lack of intellect, if you think Tinubu will release Kanu in exchange for SE votes. Rather than Tinubu or APC appeasing the SE, it is the SE that needs to appease Nigerians and show remorse for the vitriol they have unleashed on other sections of the country particularly the North and the SW since 2015 as well as wholeheartedly supporting a separatist terrorist. |
iwaeda:It’s not that he didn’t read. Many Nigerians nowadays speak English but lack comprehension. It is an epidemic! |
E |
higgs:Is it that you lack English comprehension or what? I know you speak English but it seems you lack comprehension. I advise you to read my post properly if you choose to respond to me. |
Europe is forked! This is what they get for being lapdogs to the US. Their economies are in trouble. They are no longer big players in the economic activities that shape the world. They can’t even keep their economies going or fund their social security without immigrants! |
The problem is educated Nigerians think because they have received western education therefore they live abroad and Nigeria should be fashioned after the west. I don’t believe in naming things after a sitting president. However unlike many governors who name projects after themselves, Tinubu and it must be said previous presidents did not name these projects after themselves. It was others (often sychophants) who did. Now this is where the complexity and peculiarities of Nigeria come in. In Nigeria if you reject it, you risk alienating those who chose to name a project after you and that often takes a different dimension of its own. For instance, he rejects the naming of an airport in Niger state and suddenly the narrative is Tinubu hates the people of Niger state. Nigeria is a complex country to manage, we just seen how elders and kings have lobbied Afe Babalola to drop his lawsuit. Now we won’t know who is lying and what corruption would have been exposed in the judiciary. If Afe Babalola did not drop the case they will say he disrespected the kings and tradition, if he drops the case they will say Dele was right and he simply took advantage of the pleadings of the Kings to cover what would have been exposed. Nigeria is Nigeria, Tinubu is not the first, I don’t believe in naming public projects after sitting officials but it is what it is. We have bigger fish to fry, so long as it is not the official himself (in this case the president) who name the facilities after himself. Again I will say we are not the UK, Europe , Canada or the USA. Don’t because you have read western books, say in their classrooms, watch their media and speak the same English as them start to think your society must be fashioned in their image. Focus on the fact that barracks, roads, airport or hospital was built instead of siphoning the monies to a Swiss bank account instead of what name they chose to give the project. Again I do not endorse the naming of public projects after sitting officials but it is what it is. I know when monies were collected and nothing was built and nothing to commission talk less name after anyone. |
