DeepSight:There you go. Ignoramus. That why you saw the pictures as you said but didn’t understand what you were seeing. 5N-… is the official registration prefix of Nigeria Presidential jets are 5N-FG- (FGA-FGZ) Like I said I condemned the purchase at the time because 1) it’s bad optics 2) they claim a 15 yr old plane is not airworthy then they go and purchase a 10yr old plane (albeit a bigger plane (A330) for the price of a new version of the old plane (737 or A320) . |
DeepSight:https://www.nairaland.com/8155047/tinubu-finally-gets-over-n150billion#130975982 That you didn’t know is down to your ignorance. Like I said see date on thread….July 15. Jet purchased and registered with 5N registration number…..assuming you even know what 5N is 🙄 |
DeepSight:Like I said you are daft. It’s been all over the internet and media space that the presidential jet had been purchased including pictures of the jet and the registration number of the jet. This is not news. It is only news to the ignorant. For the record I am not and was in support of the purchase of the jet and if I dig up my post history I said so several times. https://www.nairaland.com/8155047/tinubu-finally-gets-over-n150billion#130975982 Note the date on the thread 👆🏿. Where were you for over a month? |
DeepSight:You do not know because you are ignorant and busy watching Big brother. It is not news, there was even a thread about it on Nairaland around a month ago. |
derecho:What kind of Nigerians are you that you rejoice at any negativity about your country? Seriously you guys need some soul searching. |
Namaster:If Jonathan was so good, there would have been no Buhari. The foundation of our problems were laid by Jonathan and then capped up by Buhari. Calling for Jonathan is like those calling for Buhari in 2015. They forget how things were under their administrations. We who were around when Buhari was head of state always knew he would be an economic disaster. I don’t pity Tinubu because he was instrumental in enthroning Buhari and it now up to him to clean up the mess. I did not vote for Buhari in 2015 and 2019 but I will still give him credit for doing more for our infrastructure than any president since probably the 1980s. The problem is he created so much damage in other areas. At least he has roads, airports, rail etc to show and you can’t take roads etc away…what do Jonathan and OBJ have to show? I also maintain that if all the possible candidates, Tinubu stands head and shoulders above them particularly that nincompoop called Obi. That said Tinubu is no Awolowo but such is the state of our political environment that we have driven the best away from our political space. If you scroll through my posts pre election, you’ll stated categorically that I am voting for Tinubu not because of the so called “Lagos miracle” or because he is an economic genius but because he is the best of a bad bunch. In the Nigeria that I grew up as a child neither Tinubu Atiku or Obi have any business in the presidency. That said he has done well considering the situation he met and his reforms are THE ONLY SOLUTION. The truth about Nigeria is that even though it matters who is president, our problem is bigger than who is the president. The problem of Nigeria are Nigerians themselves. We are rotten to the core. Even Awolowo cannot save present day Nigeria from Nigerians. Tinubu has done well so far, removal of subsidies though painful is needed, the benefits can only be seen years ahead. Nobody coming after him will reintroduce it…..which says all you need to know. He is vilified for doing what they know is needed but which they all did not have the balls to do. He should leave a lasting legacy by giving us a new constitution. Let everybody eat based on what they produce. Oil belongs to the owners of Oil, cocoa belongs to the owners of cocoa, gold belongs to the owners of gold, VAT belongs to the owners of VAT. You cannot be spending oil money while secretly mining your gold. You cannot be spending VAT from alchoholic drinks while destroying beer bottles. You cannot be collecting money from the center stealing it and causing your people to flee your area because you don’t Invest in job creating infrastructure, only to choke the infrastructure of those who are making a genuine attempt to develop their areas. |
historic:you wouldnt understand because to be an Obi supporter it is implied you have a very low IQ. The case is similar to the PI& case. They went to a court in France without legally informing Ogun state, FGN or its lawyers because they had tried the same tactic in other countries and failed to get judgement in their favour. They only got judgement in France because they misled the court in France. They are Chinese fraudsters, They are the same conmen that tried to seize some of our buildings in the UK. Obi should have acted like the president he wants to be and get his facts right before he rush to whip up eeediots like you. Also if he had any brain cells he would know all presidential aircraft have international immunity and cant be seized. The court was misled. No country can seize the presidential aircraft of another country. it shows the lack of understanding of Obi or he knows but he knows his followers are r3tards so they beleive anything. somebody aspiring to be president should familiarise himself withthe issues before rushing to comment. Presidency of a country is not chairman of onitsha traders union. |
Giringory should keep talking and seeking media attention. I have said this before that many Nigerians did not have enough time to properly asses the man prior to the last elections. He now has 4 years to make a foool of himself and prove to the neutrals that he is an empty head and an eediot and so far he is doing a good job of it. |

I think the expulsion of the Swiss ambassador from Niger has caused them to borrow themselves brain. |
DaddyJapan:They are all fooools. The guy made some critical points 1: we have pre sold most of our production 2: contracts for supply of crude are secured years in advance 3: Dangote was negligent in not securing supply contracts for his refinery in advance 4: IOCS cannot break existing contracts for Dangote 5: there really is t much the govt can do until production increases. How do you expect people who are led by Kanu, Ekpa and Obi to 1) be able to read 2)have the intellect to reason? |
DaddyJapan:I watched his interview yesterday, the guy was spewing facts and oozing sense from all pores. You could see the Arise crew especially Rufai and that airhead Ayo were uncomfortable as it didn’t suit their narrative. Why would the government sabotage Dangote when the success of his refinery is critical to the success of the administration? Without Dangote refinery helping to solve our forex problems, all the administrations recovery plans are in the mud. But like he said we have forward sold a lot of our crude and we cannot give what we do not have. He is also factually correct that Dangote acted like a novice (in reality he is a novice). You don’t establish a refinery of this magnitude without securing contracts for your feedstock. I also like what he said, a promise/informal agreement is not a contract and other IOCS cannot break pre existing contracts because of you. Ultimately this was schoolboy error on Dangote’s part. It can happen to anyone who is a novice in a new terrain. |
alsudan:Pretend you have some level of education 1:Did it start under Tinubu and Akpabio? Did Ireti Kinigbe and others reject the sums? 2: there is a difference between a lawmaker’s salary/ allowances and office running costs. 3: under which president were these allowances approved? |
slimfit1:You also have abundant gas. Why focus on solar when you don’t produce any of the materials for solar…because Oyinbo man says so? Gas powers night and day, solar only powers during the day. Or you want it import batteries too and export more jobs abroad? |
In all my life I never actually realised till today that the "west African" in WAEC is very misleading. WAEC only handles examinations for 5 out of the 16 West African countries....presumably because the others are french speaking. NIgeria, Ghana, Gambia, Liberia and Sierra Leone. |
Domainer1999:A sane (or rather smart) person would have read the loan agreement. The likelyhood is that if you die so does your debt. The reality is many, even those alive, will never pay the debt. We have had students loans before. |
Atiku and his cotraveller Obi should realize they are never going to be president of Nigeria. When you are presented with a golden opportunity and you contrive to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory because you could not agree amongst yourselves due to ambition, greed and ego just know the opportunity will not present itself again….it’s gone for good. If they both had any sense or indeed had learnt anything from their misadventures in 2023, they would be sounding like statesmen but the same spirit that ensured they missed their appointment with destiny is the same spirit with which they comment on national affairs. God does not make mistakes. |
RealityKings:So they should stop the loan? You ask for urgent 20k, you complain I gave you only 5 or 10k. I think it is better I don’t give you anything! |
TemplarLandry:He has no soul, the money was too small. Someone who insults his own mother is soulless. |
iamL:The problem with the African is that we have turned our backs on our ways and traditions and are trying so hard to be what we are not. The consequence of which is that we are neither the white man which we try so hard to emulate despite speaking their language, giving ourselves their names long after they have exited, copying their governance, educational and societal systems and mimicking them in all manner and forms, nor are we the Africans we once were. The result is that we are a confused people, neither here nor there. A rudderless people with no direction. Our biggest problem is we have turned our backs on our identity in a bid to be western. We denigrate our own in a bid to be like the foreigner and a man who denigrate his own can never be respected outside. The countries that are making progress in the world today are countries that know who and what they are and don’t pretend to be otherwise and direct guard their cultures and traditions while adopting only the foreign advances that are beneficial to their societies…countries like it or not like Saudi, Qatar, UAE, China, India. The countries that are experiencing societal declines are countries with western orientations/ideologies Western Europe/America and those copycat countries like most of Africa. Again and btw, you confuse rights with a mandate. No one says because you have a right you must apply the right. Just as many women suffer in polygamy, many women suffer in monogamy because polygamy is the only way the vast majority of women can ever get a husband. So they suffer a great shame of single motherhood, isolation, baby mamaism, side chickism not to talk of the impending societal epidemic of fatherless children and children from single parent homes. If you were to talk sincerely to your single female aunties in their 40s, knowing full well they are likely to spend the rest of their lives alone or passed around as a side chick to one old man after another, especially those without kids, they would bite your hand off to be a 2nd or 3rd wife if only they didn’t have to deal with the taboo of polygamy. The question is when did polygamy become a taboo in Africa. If you want to know the effects of turning our backs on our ways and not having children raised in proper family setting just look at the black-American society. Nothing is absolute in this world. Again because you can doesn’t mean you should. Finally as you benefit from the grace of your ancestors, you cannot completely escape the sins of your ancestors….I know as a so called “western educated” African you will argue but it is what it is. This is what you he pastors use to manipulate the flock and call generational curses. Read your Bible, read your Koran, these things are there, life did not start with your generation. You cannot change the laws of people that have been on earth for millions of years. You don’t have to practice polygamy, nobody forces anybody but look at your country and look at the rest of the world. The countries or the regions that will dominate are the countries that give birth. Countries where their women don’t reproduce are destined to oblivion, extinction or domination by those with numbers. Look at the attached, all your western countries that you look up to are headed for extinction, even now they have to import immigrants to keep their economies afloat…..who are a major proportion of these immigrants? The polygamists with many children. So even if you are a monogamist, it is your duty to your children to make sure they don’t end up as minorities own land or worse still become extinct. There is not a single “polygamous” country on that list. The world always goes through a reset. We are going through one now and those who will survive are those who understand the natural law of God and man and have wisdom not those who argue “rights”.
|
This west sha! You create covid, shut down the world then lend us money to buy the vaccines you developed to “solve” the crisis you created. |
iamL:You know something? The problem with the world today especially in Africa and particularly the youth is the lack of wisdom and the belief in the “rights” and “the law” as a driving force for our actions. We are fast losing the native wisdom of our old. The kind of wisdom that gave rise to many of our African proverbs. Everything now is the law says, it is my right. She is a citizen, she has a right to contest. Has she not withdrawn, why didn’t she go ahead? What was the reason she withdrew….is it not the embarrassment/scandal caused by the actions of her parents? The white man will tell us Africans about rights and rule of law, they will not tell you that rights and laws have consequences and responsibilities. For instance they will tell you that as a woman you have a right to be anything you want to be and equal opportunities but they forget to tell you what we see as a result which is that as a consequence many women will be left single and childless because it is not the natural path of a woman. Again we are witnessing the results of the protests. You have a right to protest true but there are consequences of protests as we are seeing not in Nigeria and for example in the Uk. I am a UK citizen born not naturalized, it would be highly irresponsible of me knowing the tensions in the UK towards immigrants to feel I can visit the UK and safely walk through a white supremacist area or even any area simply because “I have rights”. This is the wisdom we are fast losing in African societies. So be careful when you argue about rights and the law. Your rights and the law does not excuse your responsibility to protect yourself especially when you know you are in a hostile environment. It does not absolve you if your duty to engage your brain. There is the law, there is your rights, there is common sense and wisdom. Let me explain this to you. Your rights mean you are able, the law protects your rights. Common sense and wisdom is what tells you when it is prudent to exercise your rights and the law is only there to protect you usually as a consequence of damage you probably have already suffered. Wisdom is knowing the difference between “I can” and “I should” |
alphaNomega:According to how good parents raise good children bad is bad. No ifs buts or maybes. And coming here to justify it in any form is just exhibiting bad parenting and upbringing. Even criminals know what they are doing is bad. So someone who does not see criminality as bad and has the effrontery to justify criminal behaviour is a psychopath and a danger to society. Morally bankrupt!!! Perhaps you never had a moral compass…..again a reflection of upbringing. |
alphaNomega:We have a saying that basically translates as follows: a child who is not raised well at home will be raised by the streets. What is right is right whether everyone else chooses the path of wrong. You statement is a statement of a child who was not properly raised! |
alphaNomega:Not everyone elevates criminals like you. |
Emperormartin:Answer my question first. You are deflecting. Did her mother forge her citizen papers or not? You people have normalized justifying criminality. |
My problem with Tinubu is he removed subsidy and panicked half way. Remove it and remove it completely. The riot and hunger whether petrol is N640 or N1300 is the same and one time. |
Emperormartin:That may be so but you are deflecting. Did the mother forge her papers or not? |
Lesson here is that do not think that the crimes you commit or the path you take to “success” will not one day have repercussions on your children. I always remember something I overheard from an uncle of mine when I was young. They day you join politics is the day you will know your family history. There are other versions like the day you join politics is thee day you will learn of your mothers ex boyfriends. The meaning of this is the day you are successful or become a public figure of any sort is the day your secrets or your family secrets will be exposed. Before you go public, especially in a hostile environment make sure your background is clean. And when your family are telling you don’t do something and you don’t understand why, it could be because they know something you don’t but can’t tell you. I am sure the girl herself did not know her mother forged her birth papers. |
Salewa97:Tinubu’s major own goals stem from 2 things 1: his failure to lead from by example and be seen to cut costs of government, buy made in Nigeria etc etc. 2: his media team is sheeeet. His policies are necessary and the o Lu option despite what the opposition may say. Left to me, I would not be paying a single kobo in subsidy, petrol will be N1500 a liter or whatever the market dictates. People need to change habits. A nation of poor people have no business driving 4/5 liters v8 jeeps. Whenever I see people on the road accelerating only to brake a few meters ahead, I say to myself “it is because petrol is not expensive enough”. |
What a joke. If Tinubu loses in 2027, it is not Makinde that will become president. And BTW supporters of any yoruba nursing presidency should know that he is only doing so for relevance and is really only looking for ministerial slot. Whether 2027 or 2031 Tinubu is the last yoruba president for another 16-24 years. There is North, there is SS. |
