dumahi:There are a lot of unsafe microorganisms present in raw noodles or rice. |
iwaeda:Semantics….It is still subsidy. The only difference is 1) no middle men with subsidy claims 2) the subsidy is deducted at source (NNPC) before it gets to the FG to get around budget appropriation. |
PerfectStranger:The problem with having your baby outside is that 1) the kind of woman who will willingly have a child outside of marriage is usually an irresponsible mother 2) you child has a higher probability of ending up wayward. |
Racoon:If you look at the date, you will realize the traffic that day was caused by ENDSARS protesters. He was complaining about the traffic they were causing. |
CSTRR:The problem with your people is that you insult everyone and when they respond or call you out you call them bigots! Why everywhere you go it is always you? Why always you? For the record I stated it (again check my posts). That Tinububin an ideal climate is not the messiah but of the options available he is far ahead of the others. That in itself says a lot about the capacity of the others like I said they couldn’t even manage their own election that was theirs to win. I have said this many times on Nairaland. The problem with you people is that even when we give you EXPO YOU will still fail exams because you are not driven by rational thinking. I am telling you why you lost and telling you how to win without fear because I know you will make the same errors again. PRIDE Will never allow you to do the right thing. even try and pretend you like others so we can vote for you. No! You will insult and threaten me and then come back to ask sit to vote for you and then shout and insult when you lose again! Lol. No be juju be that? This is why it is hard for you to be president. A time will come when an Ibo man is president, I can assure you it will not be a man like Peter Obi. There is a difference between being popular at home and being electable nationally. |
CSTRR:Actually i want him to get as many votes as possible because the more votes he gets, the more he takes away votes from PDP. As someone who wanted Tinubu to win, Obi was never and never will be a probem. The problem always has been and always will be PDP. So long as Obi is in the picture, neither are a problem because Obi's votes are cannibalized PDP votes. I warned you in 2022, emotional and brainless people like you abused me because you reason with ego not intellect and evidence based analysis. The results vindicated me. Elections are about 1)numbers and 2) politics 1: Numbers (self explanatory) i said it at the time (now everyone realises it) that Tinubu became president the minute Obi left PDP (check my post history around the dates he left PDP onwards).......you cannot split the opposition and expect to defeat an incumbent. This is simple arithmetic and common sense devoid of emotions or sentiment. It took 5 groups: AD, new PDP, CPC, ANPP aand APGA to wrestle power from Jonathan. You divide yourselves into 3 and think you can defeat an incumbent? Where do they get their brains from? Did they not teach them basic arithmetic in school? You are not even strategic enough to win an election that was yours on a platter and they want to run a country? 2: politics: (how are you perceived, what is the acceptability of your candidate? who are the power brokers backing you) many Ibos have insulted and keep insulting all the major ethnic groups in Nigeria, there is already historical distrust from the North dues to 1966 events, now they have descended on the other southern groups with insults every other day. The problem the ibos have is that the people whose votes the ibos need to be president are the very people they have been calling all sorts of names since 2015 or their is historical distrust due to events of 1966. Lets not forget they say they want to leave Nigeria. nobody is going to vote for a president who is sympathetic to those who want to leave the country. If you want to kill yourselves that is your business but you will find it difficult to find voters from the rest of Nigeria who will vote for people who refuse to condemn or outrightly support those who order the killing of soldiers etc. I dont know why this basic fact eludes you people. I am not going to appoint someone who has sworn to split up my business to head my business or a guest who has vowed to destroy my family into my home. The only way an ibo man becomes president of Nigeria is with the backing of one of the major parties and it has to be a cosmopolitan ibo man that is acceptable to all sections of the country. He needs either the backing of the North (unlikely) or the overwhelming backing of the middle belt/SS and SW. Either way, the next slot for a fresh southern president is 2037. My advice to the Ibos is to build fences and tone down their rhetoric and try and play politics with intelligence or else 2037 will come and it will go to the SS and heaven will not fall!! And I will feel bad for those sensible Ibos who are actually trying to build bridges. I will just end by saying you are your own worst enemies. your attitude may work in business but politics is about relationships. if you alienate everyone who votes for you? its been 64 years no elected ibo president. instead of insulting and abusing everyone take some time in your quiet moment and ask what am we doing wrong? .......I have just told you above. |
I dont know about today but most university students who used drugs took drugs (weed) for the 1st time AFTER they were admitted to University. They should spend the money for testing improving the quality of the Universities. I would like to act surprised but we are used to dumb ideas from people in positions of authority in this country. There is an epidemic of shallow thinking amongst those piloting our affairs. |
givedemwotowoto:Obi is never becoming president of Nigeria…I don’t think you people understand the politics of Nigeria. The reason why Jonathan is being considered by some is precisely because they do t want a southerner with a 2 term option. That alone should tell you that Obi was and is never an option not 2023, not 2027, not 2031, not ever! There is no pathway that leads to an Obi presidency, not ever! I am not going to sit here and say Tinubu will get a second term but 2 things I am sure of 100%…. Both Atiku and Obi will never be president of Nigeria. They had their sliding door moment in 2023 and they both blew it. Atiku for underestimating and disregarding Obi and Obi for leaving the PDP. That ship has sailed for both of them. |
DeepSight:Says someone whose father is his mothers brother! The owners of Nairaland did the intelligent amongst us a disservice by not including an ignore button for the teeming army of Down syndrome sufferers and spastics just disturbing people to get attention. |
DeepSight:I blame your father for not using a condom and your mother for not having the sense to close her legs to a man who obviously could not afford to educate his children properly. Such situations only produce du11ards who became a burden on society Even worse in your case is when brother and sister copulate and give birth. The offspring is a biological aberration and can only be defective mentally. |
DeepSight:What exactly is your point? Have I not told you to stop making a bigger fooool of yourself than you already have or to stop mentioning me if you have nothing smart to say? You get insulted because you post like a r3tard. I have already made my views on the jet known clearly and unequivocally. So why are you mentioning me? Is it that you cannot read, do not understand English or you just have a low IQ? Which is your disability? casualobserver:What the hell is wrong with you? |
spencekat:Otti was in APC before he moved to LP I believe because he didn’t get the ticket. As for the rest, you can argue with yourself. You are merely being emotional by vouching for a man who in his short political life has already been in 3 parties. Politicians will go where their interests are best served. Are you also going to vouch for Obi that he will not leave LP because as sure as there is night and there is day, he will just become another Atiku under LP….forever running for president. The only way he has a chance to smelll Aso rock is as VP to Atiku in PDP. So sit there and be vouching for the unprincipled. It is clear to the thinking man that the deal for Otti to move back to APC has been done. Either way e no concern me. I have no stake or any particular interest in the state or the actors involved. I don’t care who governs Abia and their votes are inconsequential in a presidential election as far as I am concerned. By that I mean that just like his 1st term, they are not the ones who will determine whether Tinubu gets a second term or not. Even if Otti moves to APC Abia will still vote for Obi wherever he ends up and if he doesn’t run, they will vote for PDP or APGA candidate. You should also know that the second term or approaching the second term of a minority governor is often when they defect (even Obi did exactly that). The reason is simple: they are thinking what next? As a minority governor this is as high as you can rise politically if you do not align with the party at the center. Despite his looks he is still a relatively young man, the ministerial slot for Abia in 2031 is his on a platter if he defects to APC and they win, even if they lose Abia. Plus politicians always feel being in the ruling party after their tenure gives them some protection from their skeletons and they ALL have skeletons. |
spencekat:Read between the lines. He was praising Otti saying he is doing well and yet saying LP will not produce the next governor. The implication of what he said is that a deal has been done and Otti will decamp to APC. Dont forget Otti was in APC. |
Now I hope you understand what all these “awards” are really about? Amosun behaved like an emperor when he was governor but Utomi himself is not clean. Cunny man die, cunny man bury am. |
gaskiyamagana:You are missing the point. Nobody is happy or sanctions or is unaware of the ills of Nigeria in general. He is an “ambassador” of Nigerian sport and every time he opens his mouth on the white mans station all he does is put others down and tell his audience how great he is. Jay Jay, Kanu have been on English Tv interviews more than him. I have never heard any of them say anything bad about Nigeria, Nigerians or other Africans. The truth is Obi hasn’t got the intellect to talk about anything else. He has no football insight as a pundit. |
gaskiyamagana:Watch every interview he does on his white masters stations. He is always trying to put others down to elevate himself. He clearly suffers some an inferiority complex and low self esteem. If he isn’t claiming to be the most successful Nigerian footballer and more successful than Kanu, he is telling the world that his family at home are always asking him for money and how he helped them and how all Africans are leeches when you are successful . If it is not how he paid for the flight of his team it is how he got a manager sacked. If he isn’t fighting and insulting Oliseh he is abusing or insulting or putting someone or his country down, he is putting someone or his country down. He clearly has low self esteem and suffers from imposter syndrome where he doesn’t really believe he deserves to be where he is so he has to put others down or big himself up to justify in his mind his status. I was in the UK when Jay Jay signed for the Bolton. Jay Jay made it cool to be a Nigerian in the UK. Everywhere you go including the office, being a Nigerian was cool because of Jay Jay. This foool is now going on TV and every time he talks he must put Nigeria or his fellow Nigerians or Africans down one way or another. The guy is an eeediot. Just making a fool of himself and embarrassing himself. Somebody who they spelt your name wrong and he accepted it and speaks in a fake accent just shows he has an inferiority complex. |
sleek214:I really cannot stand this Mikel Obi. He takes delight at maligning Nigeria at every opportunity to please his white masters. |
oz4real83:True but also don’t forget a lot of the problems in Nigeria are civil servants who can’t be sacked. |
Musauzor:There is nothing top notch about his calculations. It begs the question how dumb and intellectually deficient are his supporters? Typical Ob/obidient interaction goes like this: Peter Obi: after day comes night IObidients: wow Obi is a genius To start with a ph.D holder does not start on that salary. Secondly he does not remain in that salary for the duration of his career so his calculations are wrong. Although his general point is legitimate, Like I have said, he should focus on his LP members in the National Assembly and ask what are they doing to reflect his “message” In the National Assembly. He is talking like he doesn’t have LP members in government. Let them present bills and let us see who will reject their bills but present the bills first instead they are busy collecting the jeeps Going by what his ambassadors in the National Assembly are doing as well as his past as a governor. He won’t be any different....he clearly has no solutions. It is easy to point out the wrongs. If he had solutions, His people would not be fleeing Anambra every day. He would have left a legacy and laid a solid foundation for the governors that follow him. |
IfnobeGod20:You are making excuses. He is the leader of the party. LP is nothing without him. They would not be senators or rep members without him. If he claims that he represents a new Nigeria then he and his party members must conform to the party’s ideology…..if they have any and their performance in the discharge of their duties should reflect such. He isn’t in government at the moment and therefore they are his ambassadors. He will be judged by right thinking people by the performance of his elected LP reps. If they are no different then he will be no different. If he has no power of liver them as leader of the party then he will have. No power over them as president. Whatever you say or your views about APC they have party discipline and those who do not conform are sanctioned. Even the almighty Andy me was sanction and he had to apologize publicly. If you cannot maintain discipline in your party oor your elected members carry on as usual, how is he going to be different? You think running a country is a one man show? Finally, you don’t spare Tinubu or Buhari for the actions of their lieutenants do you? Buhari himself didn’t steal but he is blamed (rightly) for the looting of his lieutenants because whether he stole or not the looting occurred under a Buhari presidency. Even seizure of a presidential jet that had nothing to with him or a transaction that had nothing to do with the federal govt and occurred long before APC was even formed you blame Tinubu so why are you maki g excuses for Obi? He is the leader of the party, people like that man from ETi-osa and ireti would not be in office if not for Obi. Residents of eti Isa did not even know who he is until he was elected. They are his ambassadors. The buck stops at his desk if he cannot lead he should step aside. |
Melagros:He has LP senators and house members. He should speak to them first. Instead of seeking attention telling us what we already know in a bid to sound intelligent. If he were really different and not just another repackage typical Nigeria politician who is part of the rot, nothing stops him from instructing his LP assembly members to initiate cost cutting bills in the house and senate. Let it be rejected but let it be on record this is where you and your party stand not making noise on Twitter. After all he is the leader of the LP and most of not all of those elected under LP owe their election to Obi. |
HandsomeSkeleto:I am all for substantial political restructuring beyond mere resource control or going our seperate ways. It is clear since inception of this country that we are different, our values are different our mindset is different, our aims are different and we have nothing in common. It is beyond ridiculous now. Such that everything now is about party, tribe or religion. If you lose an election you spend the tenure insulting everybody and spreading hate. Some say the instigators of the 1966 coup did us a disservice as we have never recovered from it. I say the 1966 coup shows we were never meant to be together. Regional govt May have worked economically but it did not work politically hence the coup. We lare joined together with people who must have their way or they insult everybody and bring down the house. We are too, too different. |
HandsomeSkeleto:I often have to remind myself that I need to resist the temptation to respond to eeediots. It is par for the course on Nairaland as you see comments so dumb you are infuriated and wonder how people can be so stoooooid. Then I remember who their leaders are Obi, Kanu and Ekpa. Anyone who can allow himself to be led by these characters can’t have an IQ that is measurable. Majority of them (the eeediots on Nairaland I mean) are children of baby factories and the few who claim to be educated have certificates courtesy of miracle centers. They have accomplished and respected cerebral people like Soludo, Ostia Chijoke, Emeka Anyaoku, Agbakogba etc and they decide it is Kanu Ekpa and Obi they want to lead them…..says it all doesn’t it? Remember this whenever you are tempted to respond to these eeediots. |
Ironbull:Are you an illiterate? Is it that you can’t read the headline even if you have a headache if asked to read the story? |
Buccalcavity2:DumeBi Kachwikwu actually subtly schooled Rufai when he asked him about Malta. He said it is the job of you news media to investigate to investigate the Malta connection. |
FreeStuffsNG:This is what we call journalism not those rumour mongering sensationalists on Arise TV. What kind of self respecting journalists take their news items from twitter under the guise of "what's trending?". dont they have journalists that can investigate stories? Now having said that, imagine that PHD holder from the North that teaches nursery students in China and the falsehood he has caused with fake stories amongst people from the North? This is why we say having a Ph.D particularly if obtained from a quack university does not make you intelligent. |
DeepSight:What is piss poor is a supposed educated adult who fails to engage his or her brain. Education is reflected not in regurgitating learned stuff in exams (that’s just a test of memory). but how you think and act like an enlightened person. The more you disturb my peace by repeatedly mentioning me, the more I will insult you. Take your L, learn to use your brains and move on. |
DeepSight:Yeah endeavor to use your brains like me and don’t behave like a poorly educated Nairalander simply because you are on Nairaland. Good day! |
DeepSight:Tip: before you comment on something outside of your area of competence…do some quick research……google is free!! You’ll be amazed how much embarrassment you save yourself and how much you learn. Even before the jet had been announced I knew we had bought the plane because while some were claiming the pictures were fake and doctored, I went to the airline registration database and it was clearly stated 5N-FGA, A330, 10 years old. You can’t register a plane if it doesn’t belong t you. |
DeepSight:Then stop mentioning me unless you have something smart to say. If you wanted to inform him, you had the links already. |
DeepSight:So you call another ignoramus to defend you….safety in numbers. That you are ignorant does not mean there aren’t other ignorant people. It’s all over the news. The paramount aviation blog in Nigeria confirmed it a month ago. Citing another ignoramus is not excuse for ignorance. |

. The minister as well as other Nigerians should always learn to take responsibility for their actions or inaction
Do you even know anything at all about the process of filling the vacancy for the office of Chief Justice
