This is the handiwork of Obidients and IPOB funded US lobbyists |
NothingDoMe:It’s Trump that isn’t comfortable with Tinubu because Tinubu no send am. Go to Twitter, all the Nigerians rejoicing are Ibos. If this country burns, Ibos will be the biggest losers, everybody will send them out of their territory. Maybe it is a blessing in disguise. Maybe we will finally have the restructuring most of us want. One thing is for sure, if Obi thinks he can become president of Nigeria with US support, he should forget it. Obi can only be president of Biafra.

This is the handiwork or IPOB and Obidient lobby groups in the USA. |
With Tinubu being forced to retract the clemency for terrorists, he should prepare for a long sentence because all talks of pardon are dead on arrival. |
kushme:Even Seun from Channels is starting to really get on my nerves with his pathetic attempts to be a poor man’s Richard Quest. Intellectually, he is a 5/10 but still far ahead of anyone in Arise. |
kushme:I don’t watch them anymore. |
The entire Arise crew are a bunch of clowns. I get irritated listening to them. |
These are the oil cabal! The people who don’t want progress. |
koladata:Just to add: some of our crude production is encumbered. The last regime collected advance payment and pledged future crude production for a number of years so a portion of our current production is untouchable. Then because of our inability to finance exploration and production, we have structured our crude oil such that not all the oil we produce belongs to us. At best, at the current rate of 1.7mbpd, probably only 1m is our share, of which like I said some of it is encumbered. In between what the government needs to bolster our revenues and forex reserves there isn’t much left to make available to his refinery until we ramp up production and those pledged crude deals expire. Hence there is no way Dangote won’t import crude. |
runningriot:Why was federal character introduced? Because when the Ibos were in power the overwhelming share of appointments and scholarships were given to Ibos. It was so bad that germany gave Nigeria some scholarships slots and half was given to the village members (not even region) of the then Ibo man in charge. In 1964, there were 604 scholarships available, the Easter region took 384, leaving the remaining 3 regions to share 220. See below the proceeding of the debate in parliament on the matter. So na Ibo start nepotism. Sardauna talked about it in his famous video. That’s why federal character was introduced. Not for the north but to protect the rest of the country from the Ibos who had entrenched themselves in the civil service.

BeardedMeat:It doesn’t work that way. Every state has a quota. For instance in JAMP, It is because some states don’t have enough qualified applicants that every state has a different cut off mark. Every state has a quota, if you are too qualified in your state too bad for you, if you are not qualified enough, they lower the qualification for your state. Every state has its quota. |
Konquest:Their only job is to uphold culture. Not to be going to parties up and down. In any event it was a celebration of a prominent yoruba man in yoruba land. Wetin concern English? |
BeardedMeat:Na lack of common s—— dey do una. If you have 50 slots from each state for example and one state has 1000 applicants and the other has 200. If you cut off half in the 1st round, you will have 500 from one state and 100 from the 2nd. It doesn’t mean they are going to employ the 500, it just means 500 made round 2. Of that 500, 450 are still going to cry because the slot for that state is 50, whether 100 applies or 1m. If anything it shows you are more likely to be employed if you come from Kano than if you come from Lagos or Ogun. They have not employed anyone. This is just the number that passed the 1st round. |
So basically they have not employed anyone yet! If anything what this shows is those from Lagos and ogun are more likely to be rejected than those from Kano since they have more applicants. |
Who are these faceless yeye experts? Govt wants to go cashless so they can track your income as per new tax laws incoming as well as formalize and capture the black market economy, track illegal money flows and corruption. Some so called expert is suggesting ways to make it easier to evade taxes, aide corruption and keep the shadow economy in the shadows. Who are these experts? From which school? We need to know so we can blacklistvtheir graduates! |
nairalanda1:1: Oga education is not a scam. If you see petrol that is 15% higher, feel free to buy there. 2: Dangote can supply the whole country, he is t supplying because some marketers refuse to load from him and prefer to import. 3: if there is one product we have no business importing it is diesel. All the modular refineries produce diesel. |
Baxilexi:1: Go and report to Trump he needs something to laugh at. 2: you clearly have never interacted with children of high profile personalities. They take all the abuse, pressure and stress of the name they carry and did t ask for. Imagine all abuse and no benefits? 3: So if he reach your turn don’t expose your children to high level movement and contacts. |
koladata:He is importing largely because we don’t have enough to give him. Don’t forget he is importing crude and exporting refined products. Refined has more value than crude. I don’t mind you importing cocoa to export chocolate. The problem is importing chocolate when you have cocoa. |
FarahAideed:It’s hard work interacting with negative people. |
FarahAideed:It’s hard work dealing with negative people. |
FarahAideed:Petrol price is not going up. We have a refinery that can supply all our domestic needs. BUA is under construction and the NNPC refinery is there. This is to make imported petrol more expensive than locally refined petrol, discourage the practice and conserve our forex. And if they don’t want to patronize Dangote they can set up their own refinery. |
Segxydube:That’s what separates a trader from a businessman. A trader can’t see beyond his nose. A trader must make money on every. Sale. A business man sees the big picture and will even give you the product for free till you are dependent on his ecosystem then he makes his money from parts or subscriptions. You are using WhatsApp, Twitter, Google and Facebook now, would you have paid for it when it first came out? No! But you are paying now whether you know it or not and you haven’t got a choice whether you like it or not. You are using AI now Abi….be prepared to pay when you become addicted to it. Your mindset is one reason why Nigerian businesses are rarely ever truly big. Like I said the average Nigerian business man is a hustler or a trader not a true businessman. This is also why you don’t see an Ibo man for all the tales about their business prowess on the recognized billionaires list. The majority of them are traders with a trader mindset. |
SatoshiX:She has been removed from the list. Her sentence reduced as well as those removed from the list. Good compromise but it never should have happened. Another gaffe by Gbaja. That’s his job as chief of staff. |
Namaster:I agree 100%. This is why Nnamdi kanu should not be pardoned. He isn’t even repentant. |
FarahAideed:“a consortium of lenders” |
Any IS, ES Or RX Lexus. Any AMG Mercedes |
This is a joke! |
Truths9ja:Not possible, no 10 is worth $126b, 9 out of top 10 are tech billionaires. The only person not in tech has customers in every country in the world. |
Innoson! |
DeOTR:Their careers are dead already. Every Nigerian employer will know they were part of the staff that allegedly tried to sabotage the refinery. They might as well resign while their careers are at infancy and don’t mention Dangote refinery on their CVS. Every major employer will know the employment dates to watch for. |
Queenslander:Understand when the electorate are being played. If you know what it takes to create a state you will know it is easier to return to regional government than to create a state in a civilian regime. Unfortunately 99.9% of Nairalanders commenting on state creation have never read what the constitution says on state creation. What goes on in senate/house is just the 1st step and probably 20% of the journey and as Shehu Sani (a ex senator who knows) this 10th senate is almost over. I have said it many times on Nairaland: state creation is a vote buying ploy by elected reps. They know it will never happen…at least the smart ones. And their colleagues who support the ones who are deluded enough to actually believe they can create a state support them because they know it won’t happen and can trade their support for reciprocal support in a bill they care about.
